What a great craft store, and the art framing is superb !! My wife loves her crafts and always finds what she needs at Michael's.

Incredibly bad customer service in the framing department. The manager was rude and completely unhelpful.

Used to go there quite often to get anime figures and cards and was quite nervous moving to Tucson, until I walked into Otaku Nation. My first visit was last week, but within one week, I have visited 5 times and brought over 5 other individuals that have the same passion I have. The first day I walked in, I was greeted by the owner. It is not every store that the owner puts what he is doing down, stands up, to greet you, and ask you what you're looking for. Jeremy ( sorry if I spelled it wrong), proceeded to develop a personal relationship with me and that is the community we need to encourage. Everyday that I have gone to this store, I have walked away with something. I'm hoping we can make this small shop into something bigger, a community that drives and supports each other. I was able to get my first Digimon TCG box here for a steal compared to what other places are marking them up for. The reason for the low pricse was probably reinforced by the idea of building a group of people that will entertain playing Digimon in this store rather than making a profit. For some of these wonderful core values that this owner has, I will come by week after week to promote this store. Thank you Otaku Nation.

I have yet to go in & have someone working even half smile. While I am often greeted as we walk in, there is never enthusiasm or happiness behind the greeting, & they are never able to help me find items when I can't. When I entered, a group of workers shouted "Welcome in!" toward the entrance, though not to anyone in particular. I came to purchase two yards of fabric for a sewing project. No employee approached me to offer assistance. When I found the fabric section, there were no staff members around except for an elderly woman who was quite rude. She didn't smile, say good morning, or make small talk. When she finished cutting the fabric, she tossed it onto the table rather than handing it to me. She did the same with my receipt, simply tossing it toward the center of the table. These small interactions added up, making me feel unwelcome. I'm left wondering why I shouldn't just buy fabric at Walmart if the customer service and expertise are going to be the same. To make matters worse, the other customers seemed unfriendly as well. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience.

She really needed a private class that could work with her schedule. I was so frustrated that I did not come back for the last two classes. I went to pick up my projects and could not find one of them. No explanation just gone. When teaching a class I have found it works best when everyone is working on the SAME project, and the instructor has examples in stages to show and tell them while doing a walk around checking in with students while the class is working on the SAME project/item. This was not the case everyone was all over the place and there really was no organization to the class plus we did not follow what was stated in the class notes. I feel it was poorly organized, lack of instruction and follow-through. Rebecca was our instructor, she is a kind and thoughtful person who is very knowledgeable, and I think if she changed a few things she could make the classes fantastic. This was a beginner's class, so I sincerely feel they need to be more structured and supervised (walkaround). I would like to note that my mother, husband and I all took the class, and this sentiment was felt by all. To be truthful, due to my experience with this first class I will not be taking another class, sorry but that is how I feel. I took this class to gain some rudimentary techniques, relax, and spend some time with family but instead left with two classes to go due to anxiety and learning NOT MUCH to NOTHING! I am not someone who gives up easily but I felt the frustration and anxiety simply was NOT worth the gain or lack there of.
