(Lady with longer whitish gray hair in a ponytail) She literally yelled at me today while i was standing in line for not moving to the register fast enough (When there was no line) I've never been borderline screamed at by a Michaels employee repeatedly, but I guess I can check that off my bucket list now. Don't do it! Don't give them anything to frame! I'm warning you with peace and love. These guys wrecked a beautiful $3,000 custom canvas art piece that just needed to be stretched on wood. They stapled the sides and top to cut corners when they could have easily either called me to change the wood frame size or just gone with a different wood frame size. Instead - they made an executive decision to wreck the piece and blamed their manager for giving the go ahead. Not to mention it took weeks to turnaround and they never called that it was ready - you'll have to call them. Don't do it - avoid this place. How do you spell Awful again? The store is pretty well organized and like any arts and crafts store, they have plenty of knick knacks and you'll probably find what you're looking for here. Other than a bit of miscommunication over the Wilton's Decorating Classes, it went smoothly. I tried staying away today, but I had to come by today. I left with goodies and that always makes me happy. There was an associate who was very chatty with me and made sure I had everything for the task at hand. I can roam around the art section here for hours. They have just about everything you need for beginners and professional artists. Everything I needed for my art class was all here and in really good quality. The prices are fair to expensive, but if it's a passion price shouldn't matter anyways, right? This place has a lot more to offer besides art supplies. They have anything from yarn, fake flowers, coloring books, frames, etc.. Once in a while they would have really good sales or printable coupons online that give really good discounts. If you're a beginner and afraid to spend a lot on supplies they have really cheap art packages for only $5 which is definitely worth it! Organization, customer service and cleanliness could improve, but other than that this is the art store for me. read more

This is the rudest staff i have ever spoken to. I had an online pickup and when i went to the store they knew nothing about it and no one wanted to help me. They had the rudest attitudes and made rude comments trying to blame it on me. Then when they finally looked they said that the order has just appeared. RIGHT. More like you weren't checking for online orders or just didn't take care of it in time. I got no apology for them being wrong. I will never come back to Michaels again. Terrible customer service. The attitude is pretty much "take it or leave it". One time I was looking for melt warmers, pretty much a standard item at Michael's. They weren't next to the wax melts where they were usually located. When I asked a clerk where they were, he pointed to a box up high on a shelf and said "up there". Apparently, someone had boxed them up to make room for something else. He suggested I come back in a few days to see if they were back on the shelf. Another time I purchased two identical items. One rang up at the sale price and the other one didn't. The cashier was in too big of a hurry to look into it when I pointed it out. She said "that's what the computer says, so that's with the price is" I'll take my business elsewhere! read more

I've lived here since 1999 unfortunately our Michael's in Temecula has scene it's better days the customer service is horrible the staff talks to you like we are morons. It tiok two days to try to get my exchange correct ! They are under staffed and rushing not listening to the customer just trying to get the sale over and on to the next one. I understand it's a busy season But this is the business they are in. Oh and a note to the public... please don't take your kids and let them run around pulling everything out and leaving it on the floor. Respect works both ways. read more

I would LOVE to keep the stars I previously gave this store, because this store and staff are wonderful. As a party planner I am in here often they always have what I am looking for in some way... The reason for the 1star is because I have had a few run ins with the store manager Dale. The behavior I have witnessed have been on many occasions so no he wasn't just having a bad day! This man is very rude! He is the only one in the store that makes me feel unwelcome and like I am in the way and he's the manager!! Walks right in front of u when you're looking at something and doesn't say "excuse me" doesn't smile and God Forbid if u need to be in the aisle he is restocking! The look of "you're in my way" he gives is so unprofessional for the life of me I can't understand how he made manager! Not a good example for the staff, and not a very good way to treat the costumers that helped u purchase that beautiful challenger in the parking lot! Went to michaels to pick up a picture frane, what I thought would be a nice simple experience. I come here after every one of my art purchases and had never had issues before today. Went back to the frame section and wandered around before it became apparent I would not find what I needed. So I went to the custom framing desk and didn't see anyone. After wandering the deparment for 5 minutes without seeing anyone outside of customers I decided to leave, annoyed at the situation I past one of only two employees I saw the entire time I was there (the other being a cashier) as a female manager walked in the store from outside, not making eye contact or greeting any of the guests that were currently leaving her store. Entirely understaffed by under (or un) trained people. Avoid this location anytime they don't have seasonal help or you are on your own in this store. read more

The store was a tad disorganized, however I went in the day prior to Christmas Eve, so that's normal. Got 60-70% tons of blowout items! At checkout, some of the prices didn't ring up properly and the friendly cashier, Maria, went above and beyond to make sure I received the proper discounts on all the items. She didn't make me feel like an inconvenience or anything; she was very cool, calm and such a sweetheart, taking care of things as quickly as possible as I had 2 toddlers and a baby with me. The store was hectic with customers, however Maria was all smiles and so polite. It made my day to have someone in customer service treat the customer so well on such a chaotic day. I'll be back for the good prices and great customer service. read more

WORST COSTUMER SERVICE I'VE EVER RECIEVED AT A MICHAEL'S! Im a huge craft store gal, and have shopped here at this location often. Typically I have had a pleasant shopping experience, however after today Im not sure I'll ever shop there again!!!!! I found one of the two items I went in for..the other was not there I found after 10 minutes of waiting for someone to answer my question. I then waited, when there was NO line, to check out as two employees at their registers looked to each other as to who would ring up my purchase. One manager (I assume) relucatantly she'd assist me as she spoke with another employee. (Barely acknowledging me, as she scanned my items) I slide my card, which ran as credit..no verification on her end after it promted her to check my card and ID as she continued BACK TO ME, with her conversation. She then sighed, looked inconvienced by placing my purchase in a bad and threw my receipt in with it. She set it on the counter and returned to facing with her back toward me. I loudly said, "thank you" and walked out with no response on her end. REALLY? rad...Jo-anns anyone?! read more

I come to Michael's when I need crafting supplies and floral decor. Their scrapbooking section is decently sized and well-stocked; there are especially a TON of stickers. Doesn't seem like they re-stock the floral section all that often, I've come here to find something out of stock, then returned two weeks later to find the same item still out of stock. Unless your really strapped I would not waste my time especially if you try to use one of their many coupons. You will get a coupon that says 60% off then when you check out they will tell you your item is already on sale at 10% off and you can't use the coupon. My advice is leave everything on the counter and walk out you will feel much better. read more

Pissed! Loom bands and loom board kit right when you walk in the door $2.49 when you buy 4 or more! Board rings up $14.99! I tell the lady that it says $2.49! That's just for the bands! Totally deceiving. Manager was standing right there and wouldn't do anything about it. Michaels is a great destination for arts and crafts. They have practically everything you could ever want, and some things you didn't know you needed. I always head here when the seasons change, because I love to see their selection of decorations for Halloween, Christmas and others. It's really a great low-key place to wander around with friends, and the staff is always accessible if you need any help. Some of their stuff can get a bit pricey, but hey. Michaels in every other location is usually my favorite spot to get crafts. I've moved from San Diego to the bustling Bay area and so far all the Michaels has staff that are nice and helpful. (That's more than 6 that I've been to on a regular basis). Upon moving to Temecula, they seemed prejudice and rude. I've been to this store 5 times now and every single time there was a different cashier and they were ALL rude. Especially the lady with the long white hair.
