    Jumper that I purchased  According to owner/manager, this tag was the proved that Item has been washed

    Summary: I would not recommend to buy things from this store unless it is in an emergency situation. Please be aware of negative signs as business operator. My circumstances: I purchased jumper for my daughter on 08/27/2024 at noon. The mexican lady at counter gave me a used item: importantly, she lied to me as new product. She told me that cost would be 45$. In addition, I asked how much for socks, and pine-green color shirt. She said socks were 4.99: and shirt was 22$. However, when i went to register to pay, another mexican lady charged me 46.99$ for jumper, 9.99$ for socks, 29.99$ for shirt. I quickly told the lady that i refused to buy socks and shirt. In addition, I asked the lady i may come to return or exchange the jumper too. She said 'fine. Keep the receipt.' In the same evening, I went back home, and a parent of my daughter's school sent me info saying that Kohl Store has sale going as 24.99$ for jumper. Therefore, I did not let my daughter use the jumper in order to return the item. I went back to store on 08/29/2024 at 10am. The same mexican lady at cash register I saw 2 days ago, quickly went to owner (or manager): and showed the jumper that I purchased. This owner or manager (Caucasian bald headed big built gentleman) right away told me that i could not return it because i have already washed and used the jumper. He brought out another jumper to show me the differences on tags . I was very hurt with his cold-comment for accusing me as a lier. Therefore, I pointed out the mexican lady who sold me the jumper and told him to ask the lady if the jumper was the same jumper she gave me 2 days ago. Then, this owner or manager told the lady at cash register to give me exchange. I told them that i wanted a refund. No exchange. Now, this owner or manager showed me a sign cryptically stated on statement saying exchange only. I told him that this was not what the lady at cash register and the lady at counter told me when they sold me. Most importantly, I got the jumper less than 2 days ago in the same condition that i was sold. The owner or manager insisted no refund. I decided to leave the store instead of practice claiming my customer right for their unethical sale technique to take my hard-earned money by using the vulnerability to spend on my daughter. I paid 51.68$ with tax for jumper That I could buy at Kohl Store for 27.45$ It is less than 25$ difference Yet, I did not appreciate their unethical technique to trick parents. Most importantly, i purchased it on Tuesday noon: and returning it on Thursday at 10am, in the same condition that i received in plastic bag: without using the item. I understand small business has more struggle, compare to big corporate store. However, there is always rule to the exception. They cannot simply sold used item with over-priced: then, told customer item has been used and washed. I would say 'Do not buy unless item is in the package, or you see associate open in front of you.' On side note, I am calling my chase bank to complain about this transaction, as well. Parent, any especially struggling middle class eco- social status, does not deserve to experience this unethical behavior

    Said the logo could not be placed on the shirt & refused to do mine, however, 2 days prior another parent got the logo on her shirts

    On 8/12/2019, I came here to have the schools logo placed on 3 shirts I purchased elsewhere. Another parent did the same for 6 shirts on 8/10/2019. Of course, I was told it could not be done, by the older man who I believe is the owner. He refused to put the logos on my shirts because the school wouldn't allow it; then proceeded to ask who did the previous ones because he does them all. Based on his statement it's safe to say he did the logos, since according to him he does all of them. He also said it's a judgement call & still refused to place the logo on my shirts. Keep it consistent because he clearly put the logo on shirts purchased from the same store where I purchased mine.

My wife was accompanied by her 27 yr old sister. After my daughter tried on a few uniforms, my wife asked the only guy working about the return policy. The guy, possibly manager or owner, says that they accept returns and exchanges. My wife then asked a second time, as there was a language barrier between her and the Asian manager/owner, if she could return the uniforms if necessary. The manager again says they accept returns for refunds and exchanges. My wife's sister also heard him say that the business accepts returns and also does exchanges. My wife proceeded to purchase $180 worth of uniforms. We decided on the same evening that we did not need all of the uniforms purchased and my wife returned to the store the next day (12/27/18) to return the extra uniforms. To her surprise the same guy tells her they only do exchanges only. Today, January 4, 2019, I gave the business a call. I explain everything that occurred previously with my wife's attempt to return the clothes. An Asian guy answers and keeps reiterating "exchange only" and refuses to listen to what I had to say. I then go to the business' Yelp page after my brother finds on their website that there is a return policy. On the page, there is a link to the business' website. I click the link and taken to the website which has link at the bottom of the page indicating the return policy of "within 14 days for full refund of the purchase price" (see Exhibit 1). Next i call the business back and the guy working won't listen nor allow me to walk him through how i found the return policy on his own website. He tells me he needs to talk with the owner and asks me to call back in 15 minutes. I call back, 16 minutes later, and the guy says he only does exchanges and that he has a customer. He asks me to call back and he'll talk with the owner. I refuse to call back and simply ask for the owner's number. He refuses to give the number after my asking more than 5 times. When he realizes I'm not hanging up until i get the owner's number, he hangs up on me. I then proceed to handle this in person. I arrive at the shop and he again tries to tell me they don't do returns. At some point he says "we usually don't do returns." Usually not meaning never indicates you do returns. I then show the guy on my phone that his website shows a return policy. He then tries to tell me someone else wrote that on his website. He takes a picture of the policy and then attempts to contact the owner who doesn't answer. He says he will talk with him and for me to come in tomorrow and see what the owner has decided. The owner would not be present. Because I'm obviously dealing with a liar and i generally don't trust people, i took screenshots of the process by which i got to the return policy (see photos). I suspected that instead of contacting the owner, he was contacting his web developer to remove the policy. Sure enough, the return policy had been altered to now reflect exchange only (Exhibit 2). I immediately call back and he says he spoke with the owner and tells me to come back i for the return. At this point, i don't want to give the business any money and bring in the full purchase for return. The guy tells me i can only return the partial pieces i brought in earlier today. I tell him that his return policy does not dictate what i can return. He then tells me he was only authorized to accept the partial return which was $69.30. Next he tells me he can't give me $69.30 because the $6 in taxes included in that amount had already been paid. He also deducted $3 for the credit card vendor fees which is not my responsibility. While this business has not honored their own return policy, i have found my life's calling. My mission and passion in life is now to find any and every website in the bowels of the internet and tell this wonderful tale of my misfortune. I'll start with the BBB. I hope that the $110 worth of money you swindled is worth the lack of money I hope this review draws away from your business. Customers have options as close as one block away on Market Street. Enjoy your 2019 and any karma you receive as a result of bad business practices. Have a bless day!

I was going to order some new ones from Amazon, Jcpenney, Walmart, etc, for $45 on up. But moms told me about this ACM & Sons place where she used to get her work uniforms before she retired. I passed by this place about a billion times. Never thought to go in and check their selection. Finally I called and asked about their prices. I talked to a female employee.. she told me that the prices range from $15 to $40 something for new and used coveralls. So I went to check the place out Yesterday. Parked in the rear, blocking some business driveway. As there is limited parking. Once I walked into ACM & Sons, I was greeted by a young man. I asked him about their coveralls. He asked for my waist size. Then showed me all the coveralls in my size. I tried them on, over my clothes. They fit perfectly. Bought a few used ones. Since they looked new and clean. Paid only $15 for each coveralls. That was a steal. The only issue with this place is parking. But I won't take a star off. Because this business deserves a perfect rating for great service, affordable prices, huge selection, and quality product.
