Was telling me an item I was returning has "already been returned". 15 min later, she accused me of yelling at her and said "she does not get paid enough" to deal with me. Ordered balloons for my birthday at this location and they were scheduled to be picked up at 9 am on Tuesday. When I got there at noon there were no balloons. The clerk said that the person who opened didn't blow them up. No big deal to them but I had to come back to get them later that evening. Thank Goodness my party was the next day . When I went back I asked for the manager and some girl who claimed to be the manager was unapologetic and didn't give two sh*ts about not doing the job that I paid for. Told me because I have an attitude I wouldn't be getting an apology. I wasn't loud or disrespectful. Stopped by to pick up some items for a project. Found everything I needed and the staff was helpful. At the register they had $10 sealed grab boxes. My daughter ended up purchasing two thinking they'd be filled with off season items- maybe a craft kit or something like that. Even the cashier said it should be off season items. When we got home and she opened them... box 1 was filled with three kid periscope building kits. Three! She opened the second box and sure enough- three kid periscope building kits. This Michales has the worst customer service I have EVER experienced at any store. The store was near empty and I had only few items and went to check out. The super rude person having a bad day behind the desk, JORDAN T. was blowing up balloons and ignoring the checkout registers. I waited until she had finished like 3 balloons and finally caught her eye. I said I would like to check out, she said the machines are over there. I'm not comfortable using the self check out and asked if she could ring up my order, she said "NO" and walked away to go back to her balloons. I said, "Really? You are not going to ring up my order?" She said, no again and said that I had an attitude... So, I figured out how to do the self check out, and then talked to the manager and got the info I needed to make a complaint. This location has never failed me! During the pandemic. I order a lot over the internet and my order was ready in about two hours for pick up. My purchase was brought to my vehicle and I was thanked for my purchase. Recently 8/19/23 I was in the store and wanted to take advantage of the purchase one and get the second at half price on the picture frame, but that sale didn't start until a few days later. The sales associate gave the date of the sale. I'm learning a new craft, so I came in to see how much the items are and I located 50% off deals on these items. Self check out lanes closed. Only 2 cashiers available and the line has like 40 people in it. Ridiculous.

I was quite perturbed yesterday when I went to the self-service check out. Rather than the cashier helping other people That she should have been checking out at her register, she came over very pushy like. Ringing my stuff up without me asking her to. As if my Gray hair was a problem and she needed to rush me out. And holding up her growing line. I didn't ask for her help nor did I want it. I didn't say anything to her because I knew I was going to do Google ratings and Yelp! But what piss me off the most is while I was getting my coupon she used hers. So, who's getting my rewards her or me? I feel like I was cheated and pushed out of the store. God I miss Joann's. Looks like I'll be shopping at Hobby Lobby from now on. to heck with those Michael's rewards. I never felt so disrespected...!!! You lost me as a customer. Do yourselves a favor and don't order from this micheals. I did an online order for pick up in store on Monday. I got the confirmation email saying i'd get an email when my order is ready for pick up... pretty basic. Usually I get notified the day of if not the day after that it was ready. I waited till Wednesday & still nothing so I called the number of the store on the confirmation email.. out of service. Called the number when I looked it up on maps... no answer. Called it again... still nothing. 4th time some lady answers tell her what's up n she puts me on a short hold then asks me something I can't hear so I ask nicely like actually nice and I say, "sorry did you ask for the confirmation number?" And she says it again (it's so muffled!) I say, "sorry I can't really hear you can you repeat that again" and she says it like she's talking to a toddler trying to sound out the sy-lla-bels and says "What's- the- name- on- the- order" she was clearly annoyed when there was no need to be and I said it back in that same tone," Meh-kay-luh" like girl all you had to do was speak clearly and slowly into the phone the first time around instead of acting like your the damn man at the auction sale...and she says like oh yea the order was canceled because we're out of stock and I was shocked and said uh okay like where was the email notifying me of that?! This location is the worst. The employees are totally indifferent and/or unfriendly, and I spent five minutes pressing a help button until some passing employee told me, "Oh, that's broken." I heard another woman ask an employee what aisle something was on, and the employee said, "Oh, I don't know anything about the aisles." WHAT?? You'd think I'd have gotten the message from that and run away, but I still put in a custom framing order a couple weeks ago, and the woman who helped me (I use the term loosely) was clearly annoyed at having to take my order, and I guess that showed in how the order came out. I picked it up today, and it had the wrong mat. The order was for a birthday present, so now I'm stuck giving the picture as-is, with the wrong mat, which is highly disappointing. This time, the woman behind the counter was at least pleasant, but she knew NOTHING. Not the pricing on the mats, not the reason why I got the wrong one, not even when the framing manager would be on site so I could talk to them about the mistake. I asked this woman for a discount since I paid for one of the priciest mats they have, and they gave me a cheaper one, but after staring at her computer for five minutes, she declared the mat I ordered and the one I got were the same price. (I doubt that. I wanted to hop the counter and see for myself.) Anyway, the takeaways from all this? The unspoken messages this location conveyed to me? They don't care at all about training their employees to give good customer service or even to have general store knowledge. Also, I paid top dollar for a messed up framing order, and there's not a damn thing anyone within their organization will do about it. I feel ripped off. Had my business flags sent here for pickup and when I arrived the store was empty but it to the clerk twenty minutes to find the package. After waiting those twnty minutes I only received one of the packages and then three days later received an email that one of the packages were returned to sender. I went in yesterday, looking for some crafting materials.. I had great customer service from Alexis. She was awesome and so patient we searched for what I needed however did not find. I told her it was OK no worries I'll check another place, because another customer needed her help as I was going to check out, she found me at the register and said she found what I was looking for.. she gave me three different options. I came to this Michael's specifically to buy a Halloween themed doormat and I can out with so many cute Halloween goodies, all reasonably priced. I was overjoyed with the size of this Michael's. It's so big and everything is nicely separated into types of crafts. I could honestly spend hours in here. The staff was friendly, but there was an unusually long wait considering there was a cashier at just about every register. A lady in front of my got frustrated and set her things to the side and stormed out. I wasn't in a rush and had nothing to do so I didn't mind the wait but I can understand how this can be frustrating. I love all their coupons, I just quickly hopped on my phone while in line and pulled them out. I threw my receipt out but I got a mini happy planner, stickers for said planner, a brush pen, a garden decoration, the doormat I came in for and two cute pouches (one halloween themed and one that clips onto the planner) and extra planner filler paper for a little less than $30. The planner alone is normally $20 and normally the doormat is $20 so I think I got some pretty great deals. read more

I was getting ready to complain about their entire empty thread shelf and the lack of clerks for customer assistance. Then I read some of the other reviews. They echo my sentiments. I came to this location since I was in area. I needed some thread. I could not find an available clerk for about 5 minutes of searching. I bet if I would have simulated shoplifting, I wouldve gotten someone's attention easily lol. This is ridiculous. Store aisle signs don't help. When I finally got a clerk's attention, she was nice and actually helped me find the empty thread shelf lol. Luckily, I found three of the exact thread types and colors that I needed. They were on the next aisle where someone left them. Check out was with same clerk. Does anyone else works here??? She asked me did I find what I was looking for. I told her yes. This store location would have received five stars from me from previous visits but this rating is based off my experience during CoVid. I appreciate the fact that they were open and that they set-up curbside pickup. What frustrated me and cause me to rate it with four stars is the fact that they offer this service but didn't live up to it. I could even understand if those curbside service was done between certain hours but this wasn't the case. Everyone was led to believe that if they ordered online the product would be brought to their car after ample information was given over the phone concerning the purchase. Many customers found themselves standing in line waiting for something they pre-ordered and complaining that no one answered the curbside service phone. Employees by the names of Karla and Angelica were awesome. They understood the complaints and try to retrieve our purchases as fast as they could to keep the line moving. Honestly though, that was slightly inconvenient seeing that most people expected this service after getting off work. Other than that, I'm very happy with Michaels and their products. Amazing! My son came to me with his rubric for his science project due on Thursday. He told me he needed paint and styrofoam balls and LOTS OF STUFF! I immediately went to Amazon Prime. Unfortunately Amazon wouldn't be able to deliver until tomorrow by 9pm, that's too late!! I panicked! I was on crutches and the manager Daniel was at the door and saw me coming. The store was reaching capacity and he held the last spot for me so I did not have to wait in line on crutches. When I got the items I needed, he directed me away from the line and had me stand near a register so I could be helped immediately. When the register where I was was taking longer than anticipated, he called another cashier to open a register just to help me. It is rare to see that level of customer service, especially for people who are disabled. I really appreciate all that he did on a day where I was really tired and having a hard time managing on my crutches. I will always come back to this Michael's. Wow! I've never been inside a Michael's before. My little bro needed some styrofoam balls for some molecular model or something so we came here. This place is huge! They have tons of stuff from ribbons, foam letters, pebbles, marbles, colored sand, beads, frames to sea shells! All just waiting for a creative mind to combine them and create some spectacular piece of art or something LOL We found everything rather quickly.
