    Michael row your boat ashore
    Fox E.

Michaels did not row their boat ashore, and I'm not just taking the Michael when I say that we're not fans of this store at all. Every time Barbi comes to Michael's she ends up leaving disappointed. It's not so much with the service, because there was nothing wrong with the service here specifically, it's just a case of not getting what she needs, or something to that effect, so I will continue to be skeptical of the fact that we should be coming here repeatedly or even at all in the first place, but trust me we will still be coming here. It's just how Barbi is. We didn't love this location but there wasn't anything specifically wrong with it either. She just didn't find 3 of the 4 things we came in for (all crochet related), and the one she did find was too expensive.

The beautiful guest book & pen set & the card box we found. The bride loved it & can't wait to use it.

This was my 1st time in this store & I was very pleased. I was looking for a last minute wedding guest book with the pen & card box for a friend's wedding. I found exactly what I was looking for. Both items together was about the same price as a wedding guest book we saw online. I took away 1 star because a few items were out of place. I saws beautiful plant that was on the 90% off section, but it was regular price (didn't look worth the price it was marked for). The smaller card boxes were up on a shelf too high for anyone to reach. When we were able to get assistance, they were extremely dusty. Overall, I will definitely be back.

Picking up something special for a upcoming shin dig!

I can always count on Michaels for a great sale and an extra discount coupon. I went in for invitation stickers and found exactly what I was looking for. This is one of my favorite stores!

Excellent section of elastics. Aisle 49.

The staff is always friendly and kind. The store is very peaceful and laid out nicely (unlike hobby lobby)

Everything was well organized and the turnout was pretty good. There were two groups, one for juniors and one for (young) adults, for fairness. Another thing I liked was that everyone got 3 extra packs instead of awarding it based on wins, given we're playing with pre-con decks + 4 packs that are all random. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, shout-out to Bryan (the general manager?) and the official judge for the event. Plus I had a great conversation with him and Michael(?) about MTG; they're definitely very passionate about board & card games. They have anti-scalping policies in place for Pokemon. As for the space itself, decent amount of parking (more in the back). They're very popular for Warhammer, so there's a ton of product for those who play, and several tables set-up with many people playing all afternoon next to us (the 'playing hall' is pretty large!). They also have an aisle with board games for sale, and a counter with TCG products. Restrooms are spacious and clean. All in all, The Forge is pretty much all you can ask for in a LGS; they're also independently owned! I wish I live closer, but I'll definitely be here again soon!

It was my first visit, and exploring Houston's Chinatown at night just adds to the vibe. Bright lights, great energy, and cool little places like this tucked into plazas. We came mainly for the claw machines, and they definitely delivered. These aren't your usual scammy machines where you walk away empty-handed and annoyed. The win rates here are actually decent. We saw a bunch of people pulling out prizes, and we managed to win a few cute plushies ourselves. There's a wide variety of machines too, with everything from small trinkets to giant stuffed animals. This place could be a fun date spot if you're both a little playful or competitive, but honestly it's perfect for kids. The atmosphere is light and casual, and there's plenty to keep them entertained. One thing I didn't totally get was the "tufting" part of the name. After looking online it looks like you can do rug making workshops but I'm not sure where they'd host this as the place was full of claw machines. That being said we didn't check that part out, but maybe next time. Overall, Craft Land is a cool little late-night adventure, especially if you're in the area and want to mix a bit of nostalgia and prize-hunting into your night.
