Most things are well-priced, however the large unique items will cost you much more than most of us will want to pay. Would I compare this place to the decorators warehouse up in Arlington/DFW?--absolutely. Both are awesome for Christmas decor.

I discovered the place through my friend, Greg Buchold. I had been admiring a Mardi Gras mask and wreath that he had put on his door and he told me about the place. I went looking for Mardi Gras stuff but was blown away by the extensive collection of cookbooks and design books that they sell, all discounted from retail list prices. But there was much much more. Their paintbrush selection is fantastic--I've used some for painting and even repurposed others for makeup, and they've all worked great. They carry everything you could possibly need: brushes, paint, canvases, drawing supplies like pencils, pens, chalk, and charcoal, and a huge variety of crafting materials. You'll find jewelry-making supplies, sand art, glitter, stencils, scrapbooking items, face paint, gold leaf, and even supplies for sculpture. The store is well-organized, and the staff is always helpful if you need to find something or have questions. It's a place where you can find inspiration for any creative project. So I left the store and told her I would return soon. The following week I returned with more choices and the need to make a final decision. When she seen the masterpiece she was floored. She then proceeded to talk about her mother's 50th birthday. It was funny because I am preparing for my 50th birthday and I was sharing with her that I don't mind sharing information with her as well to make her mother's event a success. What impressed me the most is all of the staff are welcoming to all ages and race along with being bilingual. I am always disgusted when I walk into an establishment and no one speaks ENGLISH which is the first language in HOUSTON.
