I got interested in Football card collecting after my brother mentioned it in a group chat and…read moreshowed the cards. He started talking about it and I realized how much it's changed...drastically in the last 30 years since I last collected. So I used Yelp to see what card shops were near me and found AZ Sports Cards. Went after work on a Tuesday in the last hour they are open. Place was fairly busy with a good half dozen people looking at stuff. Store is nice the way it's arranged and seems organized very well. I'll have to go here again earlier to really fully take it in. The lady helped me (I didn't catch her name but think it's an older couple that own the store). She was very friendly and helped explained some things and answered all my questions as I told her how I was returning to the hobby and how it's changed. She even took down boxes off the shelves to show me the differences in them! I ended up getting a hobby box of Panini Zenith cards. They were slightly marked up but hey they gotta make a profit too and she gave me 5% off. She gave me a free pack of baseball cards and I also bought some sleeves. Can't wait to go back again and spend more time poking around. Will be back for sure! Oh they have drawings too and she gave me a bunch of tickets for it from my purchase.

Not the best look when everyone has access to comps and they're closer to 150~200. Last 80$ sale was March.. he did gave me some sleeves to protect my slabs so that was nice of him.

Probably the best LGS in the area. Every time I check out somewhere new I feel like I'm just…read morereminded of how great these guys are. The staff are great, super personable and transparent. They love their community and it shows. Their selection is mostly good just depending on what TCGs you're into. I would say their pokemon selection is probably their weakest, but, it seems like their mostly strive off of other TCG like MTG, etc. and them having pokemon is just them trying to broaden their selection for their customers who happen to be interested. I respect it. As far as value goes I think they are excellent. Their sealed product is often priced fairly in my experience. For example, most other LGS I've been to have riftbound spiritforge packs priced from $9+ while Orcs lair is about $6. which is market, as we know the market can change so this can to but this is a clear indication that they strive to be as fair as financially possible. They are also great when it comes to trade in, transparently their trade in percentage is low for my liking and they only offer in store credit, but for the size of the store and it being a single location honestly it makes sense. I can understand that especially when compared to the big popular LGS that offer similar trade in percentages. On top of that I have been offered on multiple occasions if I thought the trade in was fair and if I think they accurately assessed the condition of the card, on one occasion I did think they were offering me kinda low on a card and when I expressed that they looked into it a bit more and agreed and bumped it up. They are also the only LGS I have been to in this area that has told me that they're flexible on the sticker price reliant to TCG player. Overall, best most transparent and friendly store I have been to. Definitely my preferred store in the area. If you guys read these yelp reviews truly know you're doing great out here compared to the competition they suck butt.

Pokémon, yugioh, magic the gathering, and so many more. It's definitely a small store. But it's almost as everyone knows each other at the weekly events. Their prices are good too! The owners are really nice. And they have affordable snacks and drinks too available. The Pokémon get together are fun and I've met some great people going to them.
