I had my sister go and purchase some yarn for a hat for her daughter and herself, I just moved to a new town in MN so it is an LYS I'm unfamiliar with. I was able to turn 2 of the 3 skeins into cakes with no issues, the 3rd was really kinked and twisted in the hank and became worse as I tried to cake it, I had my sister take it back and ask her to exchange it, the twisted yarn would just continue to be an issue throughout and I didn't want to deal with it. This owner was horrible to my sister, words such as "people like you" "get the hell out". I called her in attempt to settle the situation and explain that it was twisted in the hank, she yelled and screamed and basically lost her shit... Now she did throw out a few things going on her life, but again, new to this town and her store, how could I possibly know any of that? I'm sure the people in the store were friends of her but she behaved like this to my sister in front of others, I'm so pisst with my sister being humiliated like that, or anyone thinking they can have temper tantrums and be justified! Don't worry "people like me" who spends $100s a month on yarn won't be back to your store.
