They have a good variety of merchandise that suits my needs, from baking to my attempts at painting and such. The price points are from inexpensive to high end, so I believe that pretty much everyone can shop here and find what they need within their price range. The staff are friendly and helpful and don't pester you as you wander the store. I love being able to peruse without pressure. They have improved the app, so it's easier to shop in the store to find both deals and coupons. I also get their emails and am in the rewards program (more gift cards!).

I had the marvelous task last month of finding a special Art & Crafts project to do for a weekend Crafts event in upstate Minnesota. I picked creating a giant sugar skull on thin etched wood using brightly colored felt, acrylic paints and sparkle complete w hand created Mexican flowers. SUCH fun! I found unique mounting foundations to hot glue my piece on -- tin that was created with a deep wave which i spray painted in black with a ramie hanger. 50 cent pieces of thick wonderful felt, a huge selection throughout the store of fine scissors, Joanne brand hot glue gun at an excellent price performing perfectly. I also fell in love with their carefully thought out selections of BEAUTIFUL delicate naturally colored artificial flowers, holiday decorations to craft, hang, their artist supplies to draw paint, and of course their great selection of textiles. My 92-year-old " speedy gonzalez" mom in San Diego gifted me her beautiful sewing machine..... so of course i am SERIOUSLY considering taking sewing courses here! Enjoy!

This store is rather large and has a surprising amount of space devoted to things that are not cards. I scoffed at this "gift shop" until I found Xmas presents for both of my parents and one of my cousins when purchasing holiday cards in Nov. Got me! In addition to cards they carry stationary, wrapping paper and accoutrement, seasonal and collectible ornaments, books, CDS and DVDs, toys, knick-knacks and decorations, purses, scarves, jewelry and lotions, candles, candy, kitchen gadgets, and more. Three things I especially like about Hallmark products: the wrapping paper is very good quality and has cut guides on the inside, every holiday season (or perhaps all the time?) they carry cards that benefit charities such as Unicef, and they have a section of 99 cent cards, which is great since greeting cards are like the most overpriced consumer good out there. The service at this location is pretty friendly. There's a big parking lot because it's in a shopping center. Also on the 80 and 64 bus lines. As long as I live on the EastSide, Laura's Hallmark will have my business.

With her background in Interior Decorating, and natural flare with flowers and art, I left feeling ready to decorate my home. I bought sweet pink carnation bouquets for my 4 Daughters and a fun DIY project to do with my Granddaughters (decorating heart shaped boxes with doilies and stickers) a lovely print for my wall and some chocolate hearts to share. I recommend Gardenhouse for a comfortable place to select beautiful items for your home or as gifts, prices are great and detail to what you want or need is extraordinary.
