(Just for the record they probably could've done it in less time had our carpet not previously been royally messed up). Not only that, but they came back two days later to guarantee they effectively scrubbed out all the residue left in our carpet. For context, my family came over to help my boyfriend and I clean our condo's carpet ourselves, since our cats had pretty much decimated sections of our carpet with cat urine and vomit over the years. Between deep cleaning with rental equipment and drying the carpet with three rented industrial fans, we invested about $300 and 3 days of labor ourselves. Wish I could say it was worth it, but after all was said and done, we were left with residue filled carpet that felt worse than we started (I've since been informed I over saturated our carpet in cleaning solution which left behind that gross sticky residue - don't believe the ratios on the damn bottle). It left my feet with a grimy black substance on it, and also, because who doesn't love a cherry on top, the smell of cat urine still persistently lingered like the ghost of Christmas past. Frustrated to say the least, we caved, called in the professionals, and after seeing their results I can confidently say I'll never deep clean a carpet myself again in this lifetime. Just call in the pros. The first day, they were in and out in less than 30 minutes total and that was after they sprayed some extra enzymatic solution to kill the incessant pet odor everywhere. They even came back when I'd called and said the carpet still felt sticky in some areas, and again were in and out in even less time than before. True champs. They were efficient, friendly, professional, non-judgmental (can't say I'd be the same if I walked in and saw some of our gnarly cat stains), communicated everything patiently, and they were just amazing in general. Their job was to just dry the wooden stumps and clean the basement. The quote itself was very high but I did proceed with it due to limited time and urgency. As a part of their job, they were supposed to return my basement in a cleaned state. However, they added this activity as an additional cost when it should have been part of the job. Als,they took an additional day and inflated my invoice by about 25% higher to $3050.when cleaning to the target drying level should have been their intention from the get go. Further, they threatened to lien my property and foreclose it for not paying this extra $500. They did not ask for verbal approvals for the authorization to proceed with the increase in costs. They are resorting to corporate holliganism. Giving inaccurate estimates and inflating invoices, adding additional labor and costs that should have been covered as part of their estimated and quoted work. Please stay away from First Serve. Integrity, accuracy and feedback from the customers are important but they wouldn't want to accept it.

Charles/Charlie was as upbeat as usual. He cleaned areas of carpet on the ground floor and up the stairs to the second floor. We both had to leave before he was finished. We noticed that night that the carpet was quite wet, and it stayed wet for longer than usual, almost three days. On Day 2, two dark, rust-colored stains appeared in a highly visible area. We immediately called C.T.M. (no answer). We left a voice message as well as an email (CWBID7373 AT hotmail.com). No response, so we tried again during the next week from different phone numbers and different email addresses. To date, June 22, we have had no response from them. We have no idea what the stains are from -- the carpet itself? adhesive? subflooring? We don't want a refund, only for someone from C.T.M. come out restore our carpet to the stain-free appearance it had before they cleaned it. We wonder if the owners are ill or died -- the lack of any response is unlike C.T.M.

I had Rodney repair and patch my carpet for a rental I was moving out of on April 27th. I couldn't…read morebe there because I ended up double booked at my new house too. He said it was not a problem since we'd discussed the areas to repair and the cleaning needed. Because I wasn't there, he missed one of the repair spots that I'd originally contacted him about in 2023 when my dog first did it soon after I moved in. Back story is he said "I'd recommend you wait until you move out because you'll likely have more areas by the time you move out and I can do multiple areas for just a little more cost." Wow! I thought what a nice honest guy! Back to him missing the original spot, I contacted him to say he missed a spot. He said that he didn't know about that repair. I showed him the text from March 17 2026 at 12:37pm. He said I don't have a text from 2023 wouldn't help and wasn't sent from the same number (It was but we'd also discussed it in March 2026 and that's the text I sent him - not the one from 2023. He said I can come back out but you have to pay me another $100 for my time. He also commented that he lives all the way up in Noblesville which is an hour drive, which isn't relevant since he agreed to do the service. I said "I really can't pay more than the $480 I already paid for the carpet repair and cleaning." He said "I can't help you." and stopped responding even after I said I guess I have to pay you because this has to be done in a few days. No response! I had to work to find someone within a few days. I hired The Carpet Man and they took care of me. After it all I realized that the carpet wasn't cleaned well because I noticed two spots that he clearly didn't work to remove. We hadn't even seen these spots prior to the cleaning! The essential oils also smelled weird over time. At first they were nice but as it dried it smelled kind of weird. I wish I'd called Stanley Steemer for the cost and overall service but needed both cleaning and repairs, which they don't do. Moral of the story - get a scope of work/estimate on the company letterhead in a pdf via email ahead of time. I trusted the text convo and got burned! However, courts accepts text conversations as evidence. So there's that.

It did take a while to get this set up, several weeks, but we were in no hurry. The owner, Jake, was very easy to work with, honest about what they could and couldn't do and he made no unrealistic promises. FYI, they normally restore floors in businesses, schools etc. Ernesto, his terrazzo specialist, showed up with a helper and got to work. They spent almost half a day putting up plastic to protect our walls, getting our floor length drapes out of the way etc. Ilove that! We had a large area for them to clean and Jake had told us this would take two days. It took all of two days. Ernesto and his helper did a wonderful job, we couldn't ask for better. I don't want to mislead. This was expensive but, value for money, well worth it to us.
