Although I previously lived a cool 5 minutes up the road, I'd been avoiding this Michael's location forever due to the location. It's situated across from a very busy Starbucks, and the confusion and chaos where the two meet can be overwhelming. On a mission for some faux flowers, I put on my big girl pants, and braved the angsty uncaffinated crowd with the greater mission of finishing my work craft. While Michael's florals are pricey, it's always a treat to find the occasional 99 cent bundle, or seasonal 50% off sale. That being said, there are always items on clearance and always coupons, deals, and sales. Although a bit lacking in their traditional florals department (well, in terms of the selection of reds), this location is calm, organized, and everyone I've encountered has been helpful and friendly. My sister's birthday party is today, so we brought in some balloons to get inflated with helium. First off the prices are ridiculous, but even beside that we had brought in a balloon we just bought to be filled with helium, so we were charged $10 to fill up the number balloon and it didn't even float. They said there might be a defect with whoever made it and so be it but we asked for a refund because we had bought a replacement balloon there and we had to spend an extra $10 on another number balloon and more helium. And then on top of now spending twenty dollars for two balloons, one of which didn't even float, every latex ballon is $2. They never refunded our balloon that didn't float and said next time to buy a balloon directly from them. read more

I called hoping to find something I'd seen in store once, but not on the app. Dude answered the phone and pretended not to hear me, and then hung up. Don't go here for returns with Amazon without having it boxed and labeled. This place has poor customer service. First thing I did when I came in was ask the lady at the register if they could help me with returning my Amazon packages through UPS and was told that they could but I would need to get in line. Mind that the line was long enough. I had to wait for at least 20 minutes while the cashier was assisting with a return for $21. At this point I have been waiting patiently while other store managers assist the self check out line (it is a self check out line for a reason)... this location has two registers besides the self check out so I don't understand why they couldn't just open up that next one. By the time it got to my turn the cashier proceeded to tell me that they only had one scanner for this process so then we had to wait for the store manager to come and when she did, thats when the cashier finally thought to have her assist me instead. Once the store manager heard what I was there for she immediately told me that they couldn't do Amazon returns and if they did it would need to be via ups which is fine bc I have the barcode but it needed to be labeled. I am so upset with the lack of communication and customer service at this location as they totally disregarded my initial question I not only asked one person but two and the gentleman I spoke with even said that they could do it. Never will I ever step foot in this store again. The employees are the rudest people I have ever come across the manager wasn't as rude but the plus size white lady with the blonde hair she was rude in front of my kids and said if I have a problem call corporate. When I asked why they didn't have a classroom set up for the tie dye shirts they said if you have a problem call 1-800 Michael's and was using a rude smart tone. They have a birthday in the classroom where we should be doing the shirts. I asked for a bigger table they couldn't do that. It's a podium that's not even big enough for just one child. I have 4 kids they know how many signed up we had to leave there wasn't room for my kids. Very unorganized very unprofessional you need better employees. The employee at the register was professional thank you for you. Also, the father that was trying to get their kid to do the shirts was wondering why it was at a podium as well he said it's ridiculous. Update I'm going to be driving 19 minutes to another location in Houston to do the friendship bracelets I called and they said all classes should be held in the classroom not in the middle of the store and all people who signed up should have room to do these crafts read more

This is the first time I have been here in months due to COVID-19. The store a lot of clearance items and things on sale. They already have Halloween stuff out. I did not look around today. I came in for one thing and then left. I bought a 18 month spiral planner. I buy one every year. I am someone who sets appts., keeps track of important events and like staying organized. It just makes my life easier. The planner they have here ($34.99 regular price) is great. Today it was 50% off. BONUS! Can't wait until COVID-19 to get under do I can go back and shop. read more

Lately it's very hard to find stores that offer good customer service, it seems to be a thing in the past!, went to purchase wooden boxes, the cashier punch it in and it says 14.99 told the cashier it's 11.99 she then told "no mam it's not "I told her miss the tag is there and she insisted " no it's not " finally I went and got the tag but instead of apologizing then and there, she went off to get the manager, then the manager came and changed the price and the same not a single word, I'm sorry but these are the very simple reasons business are not doing well...they need to go back to the basics customer service and they're upset that Amazon is winning, the way I see it if I go to the store and get shitty service might as well get good delivery at least. read more

This location is hit or miss. I came a few weeks before Christmas and could not find white paper bags. I asked a lady where they would be and she seemed bothered to help me. She told me what aisle but it wasn't correct. They send out good coupons every once in awhile so those are good to use. I like their decorations they have but their prices on things like picture frames and craft items are not the cheapest around. The aisles are small and you can't get around another cart unless you really move all the way over. read more

Curbside pick up is definitely a huge convenience for customers and companies looking for that "edge" will prioritize this offering. Granted, Michael's advertises same day service but I placed an order with Office Max at 1:26 PM and received an email at 1:33 PM stating that my order was ready for pick up. I placed online order with Michael's at 1:30, drove down there and arrived there at 2:45 and it was finally ready for pick up at 4:40. Big difference in turnaround times. Morale of the story - place your order the day before to avoid long waits. read more

This place is organized and neat, but their aisles are a bit small and close together. They don't have as much of a variety when it comes to scrapbooking as other michaels locations, but I like that it's new and clean. The service here is friendly and orderly. You can always find little treasures here to get inspiration for an artsy fartsy project. I mostly come here for project life supplies and they have a nice assortment to choose from. read more

Way bigger than the one on HWY 6 and FM 529. So it was amazing! Also it was very bright and less cluttered. I never knew this location was here. Lots of things to choose from for your paper, crafting and do it yourself. At least 5 rows dedicated to paper and scrap booking. Amazing! A special area for jewelry and metal projects. And framing section is huge! This store rocks! Lots of variety which is a plus. Even the clearance/seasonal isle is organized!! read more

The store offers a great spread of art supplies. They are often have the best prices and good quality materials. The customer service has been quite good. Also check out the framing department. They have good art framers who understand your needs and provide appropriate solutions. We had an expensive art piece framed that turned out perfect. read more
