The food and atmosphere was absolutely amazing which made this the perfect date night. Tim and Ryan were extremely knowledgeable and outgoing throughout the night and really made things interesting. All the ingredients were carefully picked & fresh which definitely made things 10x better! On top of the great environment/experience AND food.. Each wine they picked out that paired with each course were absolutely phenomenal. This place surpassed our expectations and we can't wait to go to another class. If you're like us and have a 30+ minute drive there from the RiverOaks/Montrose area - It's 100% worth it!

Let me start by saying that this was my wife and I's first chef table experience (not including hibachi grills). It was a fun and unique experience that we're very excited to have again. Tim and Ryan did a great job at not only preparing our meal, but they gave us a ton of insight on the different dishes we would be enjoying. Everything from what to look for when purchasing our meats/fish/shell fish down to the final preparation. There are too many great things to try and share at this juncture, but I'd like anyone who hasn't been here to come and experience it for yourself. The décor was really cool. The green was patterned after the color of the XL Big Green Eggs that they use and the gold accents really popped throughout (even in the rest room). Tim and Ryan were able to draw everyone out of their shells and get us all talking with each other and them. They invited us to walk around and check out the how they were grilling our steaks and lobsters. It almost felt like were in a very large home kitchen. I have so many great things to say about our wonderful evening than I have time to type. If you have any questions, just ask. **One criticism, this is my own pet peeve, the bathroom was not as clean as I think it should've been, but I am a freak. LOL. Tim don't hate me.**

I went on the website and decided to take the Jamaican themed class. It was priced at $180 per couple. The menu for the night was black bean soup, rice and peas, jerk chicken and shrimp, and rum cake. They already had everything prepped for us. The chef told us exactly how to make each dish. Everything we had was bursting with flavor. The class was so much fun! The chef even threw in some cooking education and he made us laugh while doing it. I highly recommend this class to everyone! It's easy for even a novice cook. They even had a little music going on. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the service provided. It was definitely a vibe and a fun date night. I would love to go back for the other classes. Also it's BYOB!

We made crab cakes, cheese grits with several different toppings, cheesecake, shrimp gravy over biscuits AND OH EM GEE!!! It was all so so good!! Keep in mind this is a BYOB as well. That, paired with good food and great friends is an excellent experience and you should definitely give it a try!!! I can't wait to bring my husband here! 10/10!!!!!!!!!

Our menu was the Porterhouse Steak Course, which included a leek soup, porterhouse steak, sides of asparagus and crispy potatoes, and cake. The dessert was pre-prepared for us, but everything else was made during the class with the teacher's instruction. I think if you go with a smaller group, or just do this with a partner on a date night, you'll have an experience closer to what is intended. We had a fairly large party and ended up seating a couple too many people at my cooking station. The cliche "too many cooks in the kitchen" definitely applied here as I barely had a chance to do much. But I did help to taste test often, which is just as important! I also somewhat expected to learn some techniques, but later found out that our office signed up for more of a Social Cooking Experience. Technique is more of a focus in their Fundamentals of Cooking and Baking, which is a separate type of class they offer. During this class, we mainly followed directions by seasoning or putting together ingredients that were already prepared for us. It's definitely still a fun experience with the right partner or group of people.

Due to COVID-19 I was unable to proceed (AirBNB owner cancelled then I was unable to secure another location). I told Chef Will as soon as I found out to cancel but he never refunded me. He said: "How do you suggest that I recoup the money I would have made from the other people I turned away for the date you placed a deposit on? You cancelled. You could've accepted a delivery on the date you requested and either improvised or eaten it later." - I told him he didn't give me any options such as delivery and never responded to my emails until much later on. He then tells me "I spent the last 2-3 days trying to book your cancellation with a couple of people I had turned away due to your booking. I had no luck." - Because you can't find any additional clients you won't refund me. Great business model. "As a professional courtesy I can offer you a discount on a future booking or a 25% refund. " - Thank you so much, I spend $250 on absolutely nothing and I get 25% off next time I want to throw my money away? To sum it up: Chef Will stole $250 from me and was unprofessional. He was slow to respond to emails and never mentioned that the deposit was non-refundable. I would STRONGLY not recommend him, I would give 0 stars if it was an option

He had a ton of choices for us to select from and I appreciated the range of options from the down-the-fairway stuff to things I've never had and may never see again. Everything was delicious. The guests were all thrilled. The weather was absolutely terrible but he made it anyway. Cooked everything in her kitchen and the place was cleaner when he left than when he got there. Truly great experience.

I ordered the $20 bottomless mimosas, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with Fried Chicken, and because I'm indecisive and they were offered a la cart, I ordered a side of Catfish and a side of greens. My friend decided on the chicken and waffles. The food came out in an acceptable amount of time and piping hot. We did have to ask for our beverages and they were quickly brought out. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, bursting with flavor from the multiple ingredients. I asked for butter but ultimately didn't need it because they were delicious with just a hint of syrup because they were already sweet. They came with 4 chicken wings (flats) which I appreciated because I don't like when the chicken is strips. The chicken wings were seasoned and fried to perfection, as were the catfish strips. Just the right amount of batter and seasoning to be crunchy but still flaky and melt in your mouth delicious. The greens were to die for!!! Cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. I added a few dashes of hot sauce and they hit the spot. It reminded me of my childhood and I longed for some good cornbread to sop up the remaining pot liquor . But I digress lol. The restaurant was located in a convenient and easy to find location with plenty of parking. Clean tables and facility. I observed the staff washing their hands multiple times throughout the visit. Overall, everything was excellent and I'll definitely be returning to try other menu offerings. A few things to note: Definitely make a reservation. They do not split checks. It's one check for the entire table so figure it out and make it easy for them. Debit and credit cards only. They also offer Chef Curated Catering experiences and party and event rentals.

I've been here three times in the span of a month and the service is extremely slow. They appear to be short staffed most of the times which can be frustrating for customers. I have personally talked to the owner about it and I know it's something that they are actively working on so I hope that things can turn around soon in that department becasue the food literally is that good!
