Please someone stage an intervention!!! Have I become "Suzie Craft maker?" I feel like I live here lately. Visited store three times last week to get supplies for school projects: circle cutter, square cutter and craft paper. . Back this week for party favors, baking trays and Valentine's day kids craft kit . On a separate visit, I purchased a "cupcake" stand that was $30 for $15 with a 50% coupon. Can't beat that. The line seems long, but it's one line that breaks up into several cash registers. It usually goes pretty quick. While I wait on the line I do a quick Google search for Michael's coupons and I always find a 40% or 50% off coupon that they scan right off my phone. Lately when I need something I first check if this store carries it before I purchase it elsewhere, the ease of getting coupons for Michael's Craft Store makes me want to purchase everything from here. Oh no!!! Did I become a extreme coupon-er too? (gasp)!!!

Normally, I am a fan of Michaels. However, this Michaels branch is lacking... The store is located in a strip mall off of route 3 in Clifton; thus making it difficult to head into without pulling a U-turn if you are coming in East bound. Parking is terrible. The parking lot is shared with about 15 other stores. The sales associates are not only rude, but are not familiar the store layout or products. I am not a fan. I like Michaels, but not the Clifton Michaels.

Judy at the register was fantastic. Very down to earth and made me feel at home. Thank you Judy for the experience and God Bless.

I have been to this shop many times over the years and it is a beautiful shop. There are many…read morelovely models and it has a wonderful inventory of cross stitch charts, fibers and kits. It has a nice layout and there is plenty of room. The fabrics are shown to you by request which I really dislike. So you need to know which fabric you are interest in purchasing. The shop is in a nice location and it is easy to get to. I stitch to relax and unnecessary drama defeats the purpose. I had been in the shop numerous times where customers were obviously not happy campers. Even though it didn't happen to me it really rubbed me the wrong way. to witness it. Everyone has a off day but it seemed that this shop owner has too many of them. All customers are not treated the same and little by little I just stop wanting to go there. I like to support LNS shops and shopping for stash is fun but this place always left me feeling a little uncomfortable. I ordered something once or twice and both times regretted placing the order. Customer service is generally the biggest reason to shop in a LNS and the lack it keeps many shoppers away from this shop. It's a shame but if you choose not acknowledge a problem you don't think there is anything to fix. In this economy that is very risky for a small business owner.

If you have champagne taste and want a great deal on high end yarn, you'll love this place! David…read morethe owner is a hard nosed darling. One of the bins of Moda Dea was not tagged and he gave me each cone at a fantastic price. He runs sales on top of discounts which makes this a dangerous place for any yarnivore. If you are a student, you get an additional discount. So happy I had my F.I.T. id on me. I left with two black garbage bags topped so full, one of the helpful sales gents had to help me load my car. Don't be put off by the industrial surroundings of the shop. It's a factory store open only occasionally to the public. Enjoy Paterson as you drive through it. The Great Falls brought industry here and by the late 1800's, the power of the waterfalls resulted in almost half of America's silk being produced in Paterson, hence the town's moniker of "Silk City." Perfect name choice for this business as you certainly feel like you are in a small city of silk when inside the vast caverns filled with cones and cones of yarn. Arrive early when doors open as the best items get scooped up quickly. The feeling of guilt will pass as you realize all the guys and gals present in the warehouse are in the same shopping frenzy as you. Their remorselessness is contagious. Be sure to have prebudgeted for the amount you are planning to spend or you will eating ramen noodles for three months trying to cover your rent. You can set out all the lovely cones of your yarn to stroke to distract you from any feelings of hunger.
