Having never been to this location before, I'll have to admit that I was pretty impressed by this Michaels. It's clear that they've taken their time to keep the store looking modern and up-to-date. It's a very bright store with nice lighting and clear, but stuffed, aisles. A large portion of the store is dedicated to the custom framing and frame department, but there's a lot of other things to be seen here as well. They have a pretty small fake floral department, but most other crafts/creativity pursuits have at least one aisle dedicated to them including crochet, knitting, wood painting, beading, kid's crafts, cake decorating, and more. Every inch of available space is put to use holding items in this store, but it definitely isn't the largest hobby store I've ever seen. There was a bit of wait to check-out, but the cashiers were getting people checked out relatively quickly. They added another cashier when they saw the line was getting long. While shopping the store, I was asked by a couple employees if I needed help. Cashiers and employees seem friendly and interested in helping. I didn't look at their class listings, but they do have a separate and sealed-off room that contains tables and chairs for the craft classes that they hold. My only complaint is the bathrooms. When I went the bathrooms weren't particularly clean. It's nothing horrible, but it's obvious that the management hasn't kept up on keeping the bathrooms looking nice. The tiles were faded and the bathroom stall latches were getting rusty. A bit more care and remodeling in the bathroom would make it look as beautiful as the rest of the store seems to look. Keep an eye out on online coupons and whatnot too. I had a coupon to save 40% off any regularly-priced item that I used from my smartphone. A lot of their items are on "sales" at any given time, though, so you may find it hard to find a regularly-priced item. (That seems to be the pricing format for a lot of craft stores including Jo-Anns and Hobby Lobby) Final thoughts: I would definitely come back. It's like a giant wonderland of craft supplies. Will never do it again. I was a first timer at Micheal's to have a print framed. Had received encouragement from others that Michaels would be a great affordable option for what was needed. Was not looking for anything extremely fancy as the picture was going to be hung in my basement however it mattered that it was done well. Unfortunately I was overly trusting with the service team sharing my inexperience and somehow ended paying for a frame almost double a general price. At the time I had no idea of the frame pricing and shame on me for not probing more. I acknowledge I did agree to the service and paid freely however let me say after sharing my experience and my cost with the ones who recommended Michaels I immediately had buyers remorse. Of course already frustrated a bit I anxiously awaited my picture to be ready as promised hoping the beauty would heal me however I was sadly disappointed to further encounter poor experience. Upon attempting to pick up my picture I was told there was another delay and he wouldn't be able to get to it for at least 1-2 more days. There was no expression of concern nor inquiry of my urgency for the picture. I too had a need to have it for an event planned. He only communicated how busy he was and he would do it when time allowed . I did take the moment to express my disappointing experience thus far and instead of providing space for my perspective he chose to "mansplain" the definition of customize and minimize my voice. I like this place. I generally get all of my frames from here. They have a nice selection and almost always have a coupon for you to use. Now when I say frames I mean the do it yourself frames. The framing department is a waste of money and you can get better elsewhere and cheaper. Loads of craft items to choose from. Always left over holiday decorations on sale. Not very happy with their no exchange policy so if you are like me and buy frames one day that are one size too big and come back the next day to exchange them with a receipt. They will return them no problem, but then want to sell you to the others ones but not at the sales price. So 4 bigger frames that I paid $ 67.00 dollars for on Tuesday they want $ 134.00 dollars on Wednesday. Won't go back! read more

This store is well stocked, clean and bright. I always find what I am looking for and more. I'm not sure If I just happen to go there on off days (every week) but my experiences are far from great. I got an eye roll when I went to do a return by one of the supposed managers. I am hardly ever greeted or acknowledged by the employees. I could be carrying an armful of stuff, falling to the ground, as I make my way back up front for the cart I didn't think I'd need (for the two items I came to get) and they still won't even make eye contact. There are stock carts blocking the yarn I need, since it's right by the back door I'm assuming they get pushed out to this area and left. I try to go up the street to the competitor but sometimes it can't be helped. read more

The framing department is a fraudulent piece of trash. I took a cross stitch in to be framed, just wanted a small basic frame around it. The employee was pushy, manipulative & gave only few options..She did not order what I wanted, charged me way more than what it was supposed to cost &ordered it 5×bigger than I wanted. Went to pick it up &was shocked at the mess they had made of my order. Talked to the manager as she wasted my time &told me they hadn't made any mistakes & basically it was my fault bc I had signed the order form packet. She said they would do ME a FAVOR by cutting it down by a few inches. It was still not what I had wanted &the refused to give me a refund for at least the price difference in size &that they had to eat the cost to cut it down. This was their mistake &they continued to blame me &overcharge me &give me a shitty frame job that won't even fit in my son's room. They charged us over $230. This is fraud if you ask me &terrible customer service. I will never do business there again. Please do NOT use them for framing..save yourself the time &headache! read more
