I had to initially remove crown myself! as she could not get it off.....she was in a hurry...so when she cemented it in wrong, and told me to bite cotton, I kept asking her if it was in right.....hard with cotton!!..she just ignored me....when cotton out I.immediately knew it was in wrong.....a crown that had fit perfectly before....Dr came in and tried to remove it....but too hard.....needed it cut off...but no time he said. I left with pain and discomfort from crown not cotton right and on sdvil, aspirin, more NO meds since....Dr said he would put New crown on but is very hard to get cemented crown off. Trauma. No caring or compassion or apology from assistant......called today to ask dr*s name!!! And Mandy, office mgr. Yelled at me and hung up.on.me! True professonsal???? I will report her and my experience there. However I.hare appt with regular dentist and would never go back there!!! When I walked in, it smelled of mariwuana??? Wait room...burned my eyes....two people waiting were shaking their legs!!!!??? Strange. Clientele not too good. Fortunately have insurance now so can go back to old dentist. I had a bridge placed July 2025 by Dr Quinttus at Rahn Dental and it was a horrible experience. The…read moretemporary bridge placed for 2 weeks while the permanent was being made caused pain the entire time, which I told him. When I returned to remove it and place the new one I told him I was still in pain and essentially no response. He removed the temp wiped my mouth (without assessing if something else was wrong) and seated the permanent bridge; I've been in pain ever since. The next week I returned and he announced he wanted to do several root canals- to solve the pain problem, I was devastated. I had paid thousands of dollars for a bridge that has hurt to this day and he wanted to do more expensive and painful work. I've seen several endodontists who are unsure which tooth may need a root canal or if that would solve the problem. The prognosis for complete recovery and pain free status is not good and in fact could be this way the rest of my life I do not recommend this dentist or practice. They refused to refund the money for the bridge. Terrible work and customer service.

A former dentist found decay under a crown on xray. Dr Quinttus would pry the crown up at dental…read morevisits with his instruments to observe it. This is ignorant and promotes further decay. He attempted to recrown the tooth. He fractured the tooth severely during the recrown procedure $$. Because of this, Dr Quinttus caused the tooth and jaw to abscess. Dr Quinttus root canaled the tooth 4 months after the crown $$, and then pulled the tooth the very next day $$. Charging me money for each failed procedure. Dr Quinttus never took xrays during any of his procedures. I had to go through several rounds of antibiotics for the abscess, jaw surgery to remove the abscess by a surgeon, and bone grafting of the jaw by a surgeon. I also have permanent nerve damage in that area of my face. Dr Quinttus started to fill an early abscess fistula with an antibiotic to which I'm severely allergic. I had to remind and explain this allergy to him multiple times. He doesn't check your medical chart. Dr Quinttus never communicates his steps or plans of action. He performs the procedure and walks away. He has zero dental skills or communication skills, which is a very dangerous combination for a dentist. By the way, I am writing this review 9 months after Dr Quinttus extracted the abscessed tooth. Due to Dr Quinttus: I suffered jaw bone abscess, continue with severe jaw pain, continue to suffer with problems speaking, and continue to suffer from numbness of the teeth/gums/cheek/lip in that area. Due to Dr Quinttus: I had to miss several days of work. This whole episode was a nightmare. And I still suffer from his damage. Do not go to Rahn Dental! Dr Quinttus is very unskilled, very unprofessional, very dangerous, senile, and needs his license removed immediately. He and Rahn Dental are only out for money. In December, I underwent extensive cosmetic dental work, fully aware it wouldn't be covered by insurance. However, I scheduled a routine follow-up appointment for May--expecting it to be covered, as all my past routine visits had been with this office. After that May visit, I was surprised to receive a bill. When I called to ask why, I was told that as of January 1, the office no longer accepts Tricare--yet I was never notified. Apparently, letters went out in December to affected patients, but I was "accidentally left off" the list. Had I known this, I never would have proceeded with cosmetic work here, knowing I'd have to pay out of pocket for routine follow-ups. To make things worse, I was asked to sign a form at my last visit, which was summarized by the hygienist as "just confirming we expect this to be covered by insurance." That left me with the impression that nothing had changed. Only later did I learn this was not the case. This kind of oversight is not just inconvenient--it's costly. I feel completely blindsided and misled, and I'm now stuck with a bill for something I had every reason to believe would be covered. Patients deserve clear, timely communication--especially when it comes to something as important as insurance coverage. I won't be returning.

I asked if they could get my insurance GEHA to provide me what my out-of-pocket cost would be. After several months I did get an estimate. For a variety of reasons most significantly the cost I determined at that point the time was not right for the procedure. I went back for my normal 6 month checkup (actually due to the problems getting to see my hygentist it was more like 9 months) in March and I asked for them to send something back to GEHA for a new estimate (by this time they had included some additional work and updated rates). Not hearing anything I checked back in May and nothing the impression was that nothing was sent. I checked today with GEHA dental and they had not received anything. This time the representative for GEHA took the time to contact the dental office and according to the 3-way conversation Absolute Smile had been sending for the estimate at the "wrong" address apparently all along. So it is extremely important that IF I am having this procedure it should be this calendar year.
