I had to initially remove crown myself! as she could not get it off.....she was in a hurry...so when she cemented it in wrong, and told me to bite cotton, I kept asking her if it was in right.....hard with cotton!!..she just ignored me....when cotton out I.immediately knew it was in wrong.....a crown that had fit perfectly before....Dr came in and tried to remove it....but too hard.....needed it cut off...but no time he said. I left with pain and discomfort from crown not cotton right and on sdvil, aspirin, more NO meds since....Dr said he would put New crown on but is very hard to get cemented crown off. Trauma. No caring or compassion or apology from assistant......called today to ask dr*s name!!! And Mandy, office mgr. Yelled at me and hung up.on.me! True professonsal???? I will report her and my experience there. However I.hare appt with regular dentist and would never go back there!!! When I walked in, it smelled of mariwuana??? In the fall of 2025 I was told by my dentist that it would be better to pull one of my teeth in front and bridge over it than just doing a repair . I decided I'd like a second opinion so I contacted my insurance company and was told that they pay for second opinions. They helped me find a Dentist near me- " Rahn Dental" that they deal with . I called told the receptionist what I wanted to do and she set up an appointment. As always there was a mountain of paperwork and on which I wrote several times I am here for a second opinion only and had no intention of leaving my dentist of the last 30 + years. A few weeks later I received notice in mail from Met Life that they sent them a code for a limited oral evaluation and the x-ray instead of a consultation . I had already had that within the limited 6 month period from my regular dentist. I got the proper code and called but got nowhere with Rahn staff. Keep in mind that Met pays $63.00 for this so it isn't about trying to cheat a dentist out of his pay as my full bill is 66.80 as it stands. A person at the insurance company then offered to at least call and ask Rahn to re-code the bill on my behalf . I heard nothing more until 2-17-26 when I opened my mail and had a bill claiming I was over 90 days late on payment . I called at 2pm on the 17th and again at 4:45 leaving messages to call me both times. no answer no response . About 11 am on the 18th I walked into the Rahn office to talk about it and was again shrugged off. I am 70 years old and I talk with my hands, somehow this intimidates Shannon who for some reason makes a bigger than life deal about it and claims the conversation has to be over because of it. She claims that Dr. Quinttus coded the bill , so I asked Shannon to have him call me since he is the only one who can change it. Other than that the dentist's here seem to be quite busy and I had no problems with Dr. Quinttus . If office staff was more attentive and coding and communication was better I'd have no trouble making them my regular dentist if something ever happened to mine.

In December, I underwent extensive cosmetic dental work, fully aware it wouldn't be covered by insurance. However, I scheduled a routine follow-up appointment for May--expecting it to be covered, as all my past routine visits had been with this office. After that May visit, I was surprised to receive a bill. When I called to ask why, I was told that as of January 1, the office no longer accepts Tricare--yet I was never notified. Apparently, letters went out in December to affected patients, but I was "accidentally left off" the list. Had I known this, I never would have proceeded with cosmetic work here, knowing I'd have to pay out of pocket for routine follow-ups. To make things worse, I was asked to sign a form at my last visit, which was summarized by the hygienist as "just confirming we expect this to be covered by insurance." That left me with the impression that nothing had changed. Only later did I learn this was not the case. This kind of oversight is not just inconvenient--it's costly. I feel completely blindsided and misled, and I'm now stuck with a bill for something I had every reason to believe would be covered. Patients deserve clear, timely communication--especially when it comes to something as important as insurance coverage. I won't be returning.

On top of poor customer service, I started to get the feeling the actual dentist was not great, despite all his high-tech appliances and seemingly large staff (that somehow were always changing...). I love my teeth, and I have only had issues with one of them since childhood, which needed a crown. Well, after years of a clean bill of health at each cleaning (even paying extra for more frequent x-rays that my insurance doesn't cover because, again, I love my teeth), I changed offices to Dr. Nguyen at Centerville Family, and I had 2 SERIOUS cavities that had been brewing for YEARS. LITERAL YEARS. So much damage. DR. Nyugen refused to throw the previous dentist under the bus. But I could see them in the photos and x-rays and I am NOT a dentist. Because the teeth were in the top back, I could not see the damage when brushing, but my goodness - how could a dentist miss this?? I was crushed. Dr. Nguyen repaired them (filled a cavity and then replaced my crown and it was so much better than my first crown, I cannot even believe I suffered so long with the first one - old dentist told me it was normal to feel discomfort for 6-18 MONTHS! And I believed him!). I had my crown finished off this morning and I feel completely normal. The staff here - NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE. Again, why did I put up with horrible customer service for 15 years??? So KIND at Centerville!
