Brought my car in for damage to my rear tail lights. The cost was fair, and didn't take long I was in and out of the shop same morning. They also wash your car which was a nice touch. Shout out to Keaton and Nick who were both very helpful and friendly, and Scout the shop dog for being cute :) Will definitely come back if my car needs work again.

Front end damage. Very satisfying outcome.

The service was great, very professional, courteous and the finished results were exceptional. I would highly recommend Michael J's to friends and family.

Business card

So we have found the best car repair place in San Jose. Michael J's Collision Center. The guy who helped us is Keaton Singer. My daughter has a well loved 7 year old car w 92K and it had a few small non-mechanical issues. (Gas cap kept getting stuck closed, weather stripping on sun roof was coming off, license plate light had come loose and was dangling) At the Kia dealer they quoted her $2000 to fix these minor repairs. We just happened to drive by this shop and on a whim stopped in and checked to see if they could give us a quote. They not only did that but fixed all three items on the spot for basically nothing! They don't do under the hood or tires but it seemed they can do most everything else. Wouldn't go anywhere else now for basic repairs or body work.

After!

This was my first time ever being in an accident in the 16-ish years I have been driving, so I was not sure what to expect. The staff were very friendly and emphasized my AAA membership benefits. I was pleased that they're also a Toyota certified auto body shop. Hung helped me with the majority of the process. He took the time to explain everything--from the repairs to rental car to warranties--in detail and answered all of my questions. He was communicative, friendly, and professional, as were the other staff. My average wait time was around 2 minutes, which is awesome. I was nervous about my car being unfixable due to the unibody design and location of the damage, but Hung called over the senior auto body specialist who took one look at it and said "no problem!" They certainly delivered on their promises. My car literally looks better than the day I drove it off of the dealership lot. All said and done, it only cost me $500 for my deductible. I hope I don't have another accident, but if I did, I would definitely come back to this auto body shop! Thank you to Hung and the rest of the team.

I do not believe in perfection, but my goodness this place might have me rethinking that. I have a matte finish paint and live in the East Bay. My car was hit, which damaged the entire front end, and some of the hood. I found well-established collision shops in my area, but none were comfortable with the specialization required for the Matte finish or they didn't covey confidence they could match the color precisely. I eventually found Michael J's (Jeff - owner). I explained my need, my worry, and the hesitation expressed by other shops. Jeff's reply: "I will have your car looking like a new, matte isn't a problem". We chatted a few times before bringing it in, but again, after not finding shops I trusted within an hour of my location. I decided to invest in the 65-mile drive. Once at the shop, Evan took over the oversight, and like Jeff, he was awesome to work with. Awesome end-to-end customer service. Communication was great. The results? The car looks like it did when I purchased it. Incredible work and the matte paint is an absolute match. Happy customer i'll post pictures later

I had originally made an appointment to do just an Exterior Detailing. I only noticed later that there was a special running for a Full Detail. I asked him if it was possible for me to upgrade to the Full Detail package special. He said it would be possible. There was clear communications about costs and any surcharges (pet hair and/or very dirty vehicles). I really appreciated this as I didn't want to be caught without enough cash. Rich arrived a little early (better early than late in my opinion) and we did a walk through of my vehicle. He is friendly and professional. Explained everything to me. I have WeatherTech mats, and he informed me that cleaning those were included in the Full Detail package. He finished within the 3 hour estimate. My car looks brand new inside and out. I'll be recommending to my family and friends. Addendum: I got gas later and noticed that Rich even cleaned the interior gas cap area too. That's really great attention to detail.

Before my Porsche Panamera even arrived, I spent weeks researching paint protection film (PPF),…read moreceramic coating, and detailing shops throughout the Bay Area. As someone who had waited months for a custom-ordered Porsche, I knew I wanted to protect the car from day one and wasn't willing to trust it to just anyone. I researched, visited, or spoke with nearly ten different shops before making my decision. Some were significantly cheaper. Some promised much faster turnaround times. Many claimed they could deliver the same result. Between the PPF, ceramic coating, window tint, windshield protection film, interior protection, and other treatments, my project represented an investment of nearly $20,000. At that level, I wasn't looking for the cheapest option--I was looking for the highest level of craftsmanship. One thing that stood out during my research was that many Bay Area shops quoted anywhere from 20% to 50% less than Supreme Detailworks. At first glance, that gets your attention. However, many of those same shops also quoted completion times that were only one-third or even one-quarter of the time James estimated for essentially the same scope of work. That immediately raised a red flag for me. When someone claims they can do the same work for far less money and in a fraction of the time, I start asking questions. The more I learned about Supreme Detailworks' process--paint preparation, component removal, edge wrapping, tucked installations, and quality control--the more I understood where that extra time was going. It wasn't inefficiency. It was attention to detail. I also compared Supreme Detailworks against one of the highly respected PPF shops in the Chicago area that is nationally known for premium installations. To my surprise, James' pricing was very similar. And even if I had chosen the Chicago shop, shipping the car there and back would have added roughly another $5,000 in transportation costs alone, not to mention additional time and logistics. Having that level of craftsmanship available right here in the Bay Area made the decision much easier. For my Panamera, James and his team installed PPF, ceramic coating, window tint, front windshield protection film, protection for the headlights and glass roof, interior PPF for the gloss black trim, and matte protection for all touchscreen surfaces, including the digital instrument cluster. The result is so seamless that several of my friends couldn't even tell my Panamera had PPF installed. In fact, I had to physically show them where to look and where to touch before they realized the vehicle was protected. That's how clean and invisible the installation is. What impressed me most was that James never tried to upsell me. Instead, he took the time to explain the different options and recommend what made the most sense for how I planned to use the car. One thing many people don't realize is that the true quality of a PPF installation is found in the details--the edges, seams, corners, and difficult areas where shortcuts are often taken. James and his team don't take shortcuts. They carefully remove and disassemble components when necessary to ensure the film is properly wrapped and hidden wherever possible. After investing nearly $20,000 in protection, the last thing I wanted was visible seams, lifted edges, or obvious installation lines. Supreme Detailworks delivered exactly what I was hoping for: a fully protected vehicle that still looks completely factory original. Another thing prospective customers should know is that Supreme Detailworks is almost always busy. There is usually a waiting list, and scheduling requires patience. If you're looking for the fastest shop in town, this may not be the place for you. If you're looking for the cheapest shop in town, this definitely isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for a team that refuses to rush the process and treats your vehicle as if it were their own, the wait is absolutely worth it. During my visits, I regularly saw Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, Maseratis, Porsches, Mercedes-Benz, BMWs, Audis, Land Rovers, Lexus vehicles, Teslas, and many other enthusiast cars in the shop. Seeing that lineup gave me additional confidence that I had chosen the right place. After seeing the finished result on my Porsche, I can honestly say my expectations were exceeded. And if you're looking for craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a team that treats your vehicle as if it were their own, Supreme Detailworks is hard to beat. Thank you, James and the entire Supreme Detailworks team, for treating my Panamera as if it were your own.

At $200, I expected a thorough, all-inclusive service--unfortunately, the results did not match the price. Positives: - The rear trunk and carpets were nicely vacuumed. - Both the carpet and all-weather floor mats were cleaned thoroughly. - The doors appeared properly detailed. - The milkshake spill on the rear seat was partially addressed. Negatives: - The carpet floor mats were still damp at pickup, which risks mold growth. - Despite being "Premium" interior detailing, the rear seats were not entirely clean; you can still see milkshake residue in the perforations of the leather. - The plastic around the climate control and steering column seems to have been scrubbed with an abrasive pad or brush, leaving deep scratches that will be difficult to buff out. - The windows were not cleaned, and the head unit, gauge cluster, dashboard, and sunglasses holder were untouched--dust was still visible in those areas. - My USB-C charger, which was plugged in when I dropped the car off, went missing. Overall, I believe this detailing shop should seriously consider overhauling its packages to better align with the prices charged. For instance, a $200 "Premium Interior Detailing" should include a complete interior wipe-down (including all windows and surfaces) rather than nickel-and-diming customers for basic services. As it stands, you only get exactly what's listed, leaving much to be desired for a so-called "premium" package.

For context, my car is a Lexus 2020 IS. I was thinking about this for over a year and then finally decided I would get serious about doing coating it. I wash my car at home for the most part. The last few washes from mobile detailers had been subpar so I needed to look into this to make my life easier and further protect my car from UV damage. I started to reach out to multiple places and went with Dynamic because they were offering a deal the following week and they had outstanding reviews. Their communication is great, so big props there while working with Harrison to get this all done. Harrison did tell me that if my car needed paint correction, it would be an extra $400, to which I said, ok, not bad. But nothing else was said after. I took my car in on a Thursday evening; they spent Friday doing the detailing/prep for the coat and it was done that evening. I was honestly very shocked at how fast it was done. My husband and I picked it up and while the car looked shiny as glass, we noticed some things that we pointed out. Harrison said they are scratches or bird droppings that couldn't be fixed. Which is weird because I always clean up bird droppings right away. I couldn't see much else because it was indoors. Once I took the car home and could see it in the sunlight at different angles, I noticed a few more things: -High spots on a couple windows -A rough spot on the side of the car that I thought was dirt. When I ran my hand through it, I could feel the smooth area and the rough patch. It was a missed area. -I then also noticed some smudges that were there from a previous wash. I know they were smudges that would come off because, when I tried to wipe them, they were disappearing. I left the rest as I was taking it into them and figured they would detail and decontaminate. Well, that did not happen. To be fair, this could have been on me for not bringing it up from the beginning and perhaps they didn't see it as it did require the right lighting to see it. However, Harrison did acknowledge the residue were scratches that wouldn't come off and bird dropping, which was not the case. -Paint chips on the front of car and handle were there. I didn't bring it up previously either but would've been nice to fix, especially the door handle. I reached out to them by email with my concerns and pictures, and Daniel responded right away. He apologized and asked to bring my car in and explained a few things. He told me they didn't fix paint in-house because of having to stock up all sorts of colors, which I understand. However, that's not what I was told initially when I spoke to Harrison over the phone, when he mentioned if extensive paint correction was needed, it would be an extra cost, so not really sure there. I guess I figured if they saw the chips, they would call and ask me or point it out when I took the car. Daniel did help touch up some chips with paint I bought. The chips are not sanded down, just touched up. He told me they wiped the residue and it came off. Which is weird because I know those were on the car prior to the coating. I thought anything left under the coating would not come off. Well, on my last wash just recently, I was wiping my car down after washing it and I found another residue, and it was coming right off. Again, not sure how this can happen after the coating; let alone 3 coats. I'm very particular when it comes to dirt, so I notice these things. My suggestion if you come in with an older car, make sure you're prepared and point everything out. At the end of the day, Daniel took ownership when I sent my issues and fixed what they could. My disappointment mostly stems from the fact that, for the price I paid, certain things that should've been removed were still there, and the missed/rough area. Lesson learned for me? If I get a new car in the future, get it coated right away to save me some hassle.

When I dropped off the car, we also discussed protecting the plastic trim and using a larger bottle of coating to cover that as well. That did increase the original estimate somewhat because of the added materials and labor, but the price was still very fair. Later that evening, I called about pickup, and Jorge told me he needed more time. Since the car is black, it required additional surface prep to get the finish right, so it would be ready the following day instead. I appreciated that he prioritized quality over rushing the job. When I picked up the car the next day, I was genuinely impressed. The car looked better than new. The finish was glass-like.
