Two years of chronic lower back pain gone! I was getting ready to stop riding and showing my cutting horse because the pain was so bad, when I found Dr. Fiske. I had already gone to my doctor. She had given me exercises to do, the same exercises I had been doing for months, and also gave me some muscle relaxers. Neither worked so I decided to try something else. At the suggestion of a friend, I tried out a chiropractor that she was going to. I saw him twice, but the pain continued to be present after each visit. I decided to look for a new chiropractor on the internet. Dr. Fiske along with others came up. I read his reviews and decided to check out his website. What Dr. Fisk talked about on his website intrigued me enough to do some additional research. His approached was different than any other chiropractors or doctors that I had gone to. After viewing several ABC utube videos I decided to try Dr. Fiske out. I have to admit that this ABC approach seemed a little "snake charmer" to me, however I thought, "Why not?" During my first visit Dr. Fiske used MLS laser therapy on my lower back and my back shoulder. Besides my lower back, I explained to Dr. Fiske that I had broken my upper right arm two years ago and I was still experiencing spasms of pain in my right back/shoulder as I did stretching exercises. I left that day with my shoulder pain free and my lower back practically pain free. I was looking forward and ready to come back the next day for my first ABC adjustments. Before going to for my adjustments the next day, I had my husband take pictures of me standing sideways. I wanted to see to I could see "the evidence" that my body made the changes ABC treatments claimed to make. Before my adjustments Dr. Fiske pointed out some things that I had not notices about my posture. My right foot, instead of pointing straight ahead as my left foot did, pointed at about a 25 degree angle to the right, my right hand hung about 2 inches longer then my left hand when both were resting at my sides, and when I breathed my shoulders raised up. After the adjustments I could feel the results immediately. No pain!!! And surprisingly my right foot was now facing forward like my left, my right hand was almost even with my left, and instead of my shoulder raising when I breathed, my rib cage was now expanding taking in large amounts of air. After I arrived home, I had my husband take a second set of pictures. At first I couldn't see a differences. However, when I put a perpendicular plumb line on my body, I was amazed with the differences. In the first pictures with the perpendicular plumb line placed at the back of my heels my shoulders were in front of the plumb line. In the pictures after the ABC adjustments with the perpendicular plumb line placed at the back of my heels, my shoulders where behind the line. My entire posture had changed. I was no longer tipping forward and out of balance. I was standing up straighter and taller with my balance where it should be. I was also thrilled that I could ride my horse pain free. An additional benefit, which I wasn't expecting occurred. With my new posture, I was better balanced on my horse, I could ride better and use my "weak" right leg to cue my horse to do what she needed to do. This was not only notice by myself, but the person I take lessons from and my husbands who rides with me almost every day. And this all occurred after one ABC adjustment. I am still see Dr. Fiske. I did weekly visits for one month and I am currently starting to go in once every two weeks. I have physically and mentally forgotten what the pain felt like. I no longer live my day consciously or unconsciously compensating the way I move to protect my back. I am getting back to the things I stopped doing because of the pain. I have my life back. I have to say I have suffered with chronic back problems for over 8 years and after my second visit I feel better then I have ever felt before. My beautiful 9 year old daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis after three years of back pain. We have seen countless doctors and physical therapists without any relief and then was told to wear a back brace for 23 hours/day. This is traumatic on so many levels for a 9 year old girl. Dr. Fiske is the only practitioner I found with experience in reducing a scoliosis curve. Back brace research is questionable and not designed to reduce the curve but rather stop the growth. Dr. Fiske has additional training well beyond the standard Chiropractor and he is extremely effective in helping to control and reduce scoliosis. I found White Oak after being involved in a car accident because my lawyer recommended him to me. I am really glad he did. I am amazed at the difference I have seen in both my posture and how I feel since I started seeing Dr. Fiske. I have a hairline fracture at t-6 that is a permanent injury from 1997. It is something I have always felt I just had to deal with. When I first started seeing Dr. Fiske the area was very sensitive to the touch. Now, Dr. Fiske is able to manipulate it totally pain free which in turn is allowing my to stand up straighter. Let me start by saying that Dr. Fiske is a truly goal based chiropractor and not an appointment based chiropractor. What I mean by this is that Dr. Fiske works with you based on what you need and not what his schedule needs to get filled. I began seeing Dr. Fiske in early Spring of 2011. I had previously been under chiropractic care for many years with different doctors. Beware of Chiropractors who talk about money endlessly and prey on feelings outside of chiropractic care. They are covering up something or just trying to gouge you of your pocketbook. This is not Dr. Fiske. He is AOK! I am a Nurse and I do a lot of heavy lifting. I have been to 3 Chiropractors before for 2 separate back injuries. I am a survivor of an auto accident three years ago and had neck and back problems until I saw Dr. Fiske. He is a deeply caring, and a very thorough chiropractic physician. Before I saw him, I went through numerous chiropractors (four total), and one physical therapist. I would feel OK for a little while, but then the symptoms of the neck pain and back pain were still ever-present. I used to have to crack my neck and back daily to readjust it myself. Dr. Fiske is amazing and truly knows how to adjust your pain when you come in. I went in for lower back and upper shoulder/neck treatment as I was rear ended while stopped of speeds up to 35mph. He knew all the right questions to ask to document all pain and to begin treatment. Dr. Fiske made me knowledgeable of the technique he uses on his patients, Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC), which I had never heard of prior to coming in, but changed me. I'm so happy to have found Dr. Fiske! I went to him 4 weeks ago with horrible lower back pain and hip misalignment (toting around 3 babies/toddlers over the course of 8 years tends to throw things off a bit!) I have only been to a chiropractor a few times about 3 yrs ago for the same issue and never felt full relief. I started seeing Dr. Fiske one year ago . I have Kienbock's Disease which is an avascular necrosis in the dominant hand and causes the bones to die. I had two operations with 5 of 8 bones removed from my hand and thought I'd never work again. For almost 3 years I had constant pain and despaired of ever being able to return to work. I have been to Dr Fiske only 3 time so far and have almost been cured of my migraine/tension headaches I have had for 10 years plus. I have osteoarthritis in my knees, and have had for years.. I have been to Doctor, after Doctor to get relief from the pain, and stiffness involved with this disease. I am a 57 year old male and since my teenage years I had pain on my lower back, it was caused due to the excessive sports that I was involved while I was in high school, since I remember I have had always lordosis, as I got older the pain increased, doctors told me that I had herniated discs and arthritis in that same part of my spine, they recommended physical therapy and take Piroxicam to relieve the pain and stiffness I felt specially when I had to do extra physical work. Physical therapy didn't work, it caused me to have even more pain, so I was resigned to live with the pain and manage it as best as I could. When I went to see Dr Fiske on the first visit, he fixed my neck pain and he performed the ABC "adjustment" on my back, to my surprise the lordosis I had on my lower back got corrected substantially and I could see that it was not as pronounced as it was before the treatment, the pain on my back diminished noticeable after the first visit. Last week my wife and I went hiking for a week and I was able to hike close to 100 miles with NO pain on my back for the first time in my life, my overall posture has significantly improved and my upper hunched back is getting better. It is amazing to see the results in such a short period of time. Besides the excellent and amazing results Dr Fiske is very professional, gentle and caring person, I would recommend him to anybody that has pain issues.
