The main problem with Dr. Marsh is how they quadruple book each time slot available. There will be 4 people with appointments at 2:15pm. There is literally a printed sign that says, "Dr. Marsh is running late" that sits on the front desk. This is because he is always running a few HOURS behind! If you want to sit in the lobby for hours, staring at the fishtank and watching HGTV - he's the dr. for you. You also need to be very proactive with him. Dr. Marsh is very very nice, but here is why I'm giving a 1-star review. 1. I usually have to call and harass the office about refilling a prescription, and this is AFTER the pharmacy has called over and over. 2. I had to wait 2 /12 hours to see him the other day. The waiting room pretty much cleared out after about 1 1/2 and then I was called into the room where I waited for almost ANOTHER hour. WTF! He did yell at the nurses about it, so that is good, but they didn't seem to give a shit. 3. I had issues with my back so he suggested I talk to some broad about options. Angela, maybe. She talked to me about a brace, that wouldn't help, but it would send electric pulses to my legs that would distract me from the pain. ha, NO THANKS. Dr. Marsh is good but his office is remarkably frustrating. I have been twice in the last four months and both times my wait was over 40 minutes. When I ask the staff for an estimate of my wait, they have no idea and no way to find out. I am patient of Dr. Marsh for a long time. He is a good doctor but I observed over last few years he would change his billing office three times. For the last four months I was unable to clear a billing issue for pre-existing condition which caused me mental anguish. The Insurance company has had a $491 bill pending due to Dr. Marsh's continuing to file confusing codes. .I asked the doctor to re-file but the insurance company would not accept it again. Mistakes can happen but I do not understand the negligent and lazy attitude of his staff Veronica and Mark. I contacted Veronica by phone. She promised to clear the issue with Dr. Marsh, but I never heard from her again. The same bill kept coming again and again. I tried to call her for a month but she would not come to the phone. Another manger, Mark, seemed more sympathetic and gave me her e-mail, bur Veronica did not answer again. I contacted Mark again this time he gave me her another e-mail. She again did not answer my e-mail. I spent four months trying to resolve this issue in vain, which was not my fault but was due to Dr. .Marsh's billing mistake. Finally I went to talk to Mark's at the office to resolve the issue. Veronica was not available. Again Mark talked to me and acted friendly. Ok I thought I got answer. Just when I thought I solved the issue, Veronica answered my e-mail. She added another charge for $ 95 which was billed to a wrong insurance company! On my first visit to his exam room he brought in 4 other observers without asking if it's OK with me. When I asked who they were, he told me - one shadowing, one nurse on her way out and I don't recall who the other 2 were...I asked him to please have them leave as I was uncomfortable. I never had a single second alone to talk to him about the pain or the medical problems I had, there were always bunch of people around me standing with there I-pots in there hand in exam- room, I didn't even know who they were. I was charged for a number of tests that weren't requested or explained. I have never been charged for my yearly physical by any other physician. Marsh used to be such a decent doctor, but now he's just putting in his time. He'll tell you whatever you want to hear in that folksy way of his, but once you leave his office (after being AWAY overcharged for EVERYTHING,), you'll stop and wonder what just happened?. Did you actually get medical care or were you treated like a CASH COW, because you have insurance that WILL be way over billed? read more

The absolute worst...the left-hand does not know what the right hand is doing. He sluffs off his duties onto a nurse practitioner. He does not make the normal hospital rounds, even when a patient requests him after being admitted for an accident. You'd think he would have made the effort just to make sure the injuries didn't exasperate an existing condition. Sends patients for tests over and over again knowing that the patient cannot handle enclosed spaces. Office staff calls and asks patients for a timeline of procedures when it should be in the patient's file. I believe he is more concerned with the almighty buck than what his patient's needs are. read more

Dr. Marsh is simply the best primary care doctor I've ever had. Not only that, he's referred me to the best specialists I've ever had. I feel like Dr. Marsh really cares about me. He listens to me, he never makes me feel like he's too busy to swap anecdotes and most importantly for a Doctor/Patient relationship, he solves my problems! His office is a busy one, but I like the electronic check-in system and the personalized test-results phone number you get when you have tests performed. You just call a special number, punch in a code and boom: there's Doctor Marsh himself telling you your results and next steps. So cool for a busy person. Dr Marsh has been my primary physician for more than twenty years. While he has a busy practice, I've never had a problem seeing him when needed. He puts his patients at ease and pretty much knows what you'll need if you see him on a regular basis, which is what I do. Several years ago, my wife was diagnosed with stage 2 bladder cancer. We credit Dr Marsh with his preliminary exam and referral to Dr Polse (urologist) for the treatment that led to her complete recovery. read more

i have been seeing Dr Marsh on a regular basis since 2008. he is the best and most thorogh doctor I have ever been to. He is always pleasant and attentive. I love the fact that everything is in his office. If you need an xray; it's down the hall. If you need bloodwork; a person comes in and draws your blood. He has early morning appointments so there is no need to miss work and if you tell any of the other specialists in the area that Dr Marsh is your GP they tell you that he is the best around. There have been times when I came in as a walk in and his staff always tried to do thier best to accomodate me but let me know that I could be waiting a while. I think this is fair. If I have to wait longer to see him than going to urgent care then I will wait for Dr Marsh, every time. read more

Dr. Marsh is 100% wonderful! The wait time is not unusual, especially in such a busy practice. His staff is friendly and efficient. Speedy service is much appreciated, enhanced by Dr. Marsh having a direct line to the pharmacy downstairs, and another pharmacy in the practice's office. As for Dr. Marsh, I'm glad that he likes to get down to the bottom of the problem before prescribing any meds. Hey, I have been with Dr. Marsh for over 3 years. I had open heart surgery, gallbladder removed and major pancreas surgery. While I don't like to wait past my appointment time for over 30 minutes I know that he is fitting in his regular patients who have emergency situation which he has done for me on more than 8 times over those 3 years. With the seriousness of my medical needs sometimes I need to see him right away or go to the hospital and who wants to wait all day at the hospital to finally get to someone who doesn't know me like Dr. Marsh. He is very funny sometimes it is hard to tell that he is kidding but he is funny. Hi've been going to Dr. Marsh on and off for over 21 years. I started when I worked across the street at Disney Studios and have continued when I"ve been local. My experience has always been great with Dr. Marsh. While there are times when we have a brief visit, he's always been willing to listen to any and all questions and provide answers. He remembers who I am and what I do, etc I just moved back from NY after 3 years and will be seeing him again at the end of this month. The recent reviews make it seem like things have changed. Dr. Marsh is a great Doctor. I've never had an issue scheduling an appointment, and his staff has always been very friendly and helpful with any questions I may have. The total wait for me has been the average 10-15 minutes, never an hour like some of the reviews say. I love his facility, it is so easy to just walk across the hall and complete any other necessary exams within the same visit. Overall, Dr. Marsh is a caring and charismatic doctor whom I feel comfortable with. He does a wonderful job listening and answering my questions thoroughly. Dr. Marsh put together a surgical team that saved my life. What's not to love?

I've been with Dr. Marsh now for a while and I'm now switching to another doctor..Hes a great guy dont get me wrong but..but heres my story...I had a hernia and he wanted to check to see if there was any other type of hernia well..without even asking me he invited a female doctor who was studying to come in and watch him give me the cough test..He should have have came in on his own and asked first but brought them in and asked me in FRONT of them and put me in a double award situation...also had come in for another check up and the doctor leaned over me with a instrument he was going to use to check me for hemorrhoids and said..this is what I have stick in you while KY jelly is dripping off of it...funny guy but that's not the time to play jokes..I came in to his office with a ringing in my ear and got 2 different opinions from him and another doctor in his practice (Hernandez) who spent the same amount of time as doctor Marsh did to diagnose me...No blood work no MRI or anything..hes just good at prescribing pills...another issue I have with that office is once he spends that 5 mins with you he is quick to rush you to his Pill mill in the office to get you to buy his pills from his pharmacy(how that's legal I dont know). They dont tell you that you have an option..it was only after I said something that they said Oh yeah we can call you pharmacy..but the doctor walks you there and rushes you in and out so you buy his stuff...Office is always packed and for some reason he limits his hours everyday and is hardly there so he rushes everyone through...I know he reads these cause he was talking about it to another Doctor (student doctor) that was in the room when he did the last diagnosis..they are still finding a way to get money out of me even though Im switching to another doctor..they are charging 30 bucks for the first 30 pages and 50 cents each addition page....check for other doctors in your network...almost forgot..after he gave me steroids for my ear, I had major headaches and I called his office to make sure I could take an advil or something with what he prescribed me it says on the bod "call doctor before taking any over the counter medications...So I called him and it took 4 days and 2 phone calls to get him to call me back...meanwhile Im pain this whole time..I had only asked to take advil but he wanted to of course prescribe Norco instead of just telling me if I can take advil or not...he wanted to make money off the phone call instead of just saying yes or no to advil...he never called me he had an office lady call..also his billing department never calls back and is never there...it took me 6 months to get someone on the phone to pay a 17 dollar bill... read more

Wow! What a money-hungry doctor. He makes you wait 45 minutes each time, then rushes you out of the office as if he's on a marathon to see as many patients as possible. He then prescribes you as many meds as he can and strong-arms you into filling them all (at his own dispensary in the office) without asking if you're comfortable taking all those meds. This is long overdue, and I would be remiss if I didn't leave this brilliant doctor an evaluation for all he has done for me and my family. I have been treated by Dr. Marsh for 20 years. During this time he has treated all my children, my mother, sister, dozens of my colleagues from C-level executives to temps as well as my husband. Many people that are fortunate enough to call him their primary doctor may not be aware of his pedigree, talent and expertise around diagnosing and treating illnesses. Some reading this will have been literally saved by him, and to them I make the challenge of sharing their story. As extraverted as he is, he is not a self-promoter and while he is an exceptional professional in every way, (often speaking to groups etc.), he remains humble about his own accomplishments. He is uniquely positioned in Burbank to treat young adults to older, geriatric patients and many of us within the entertainment business. Always disarming people with a joke, while truly seeking to put them at ease to ask probing questions that will help him identify their health baseline, he is thorough. There is method to his madness! He is patient and sympathetic and very empathetic. He cares about his clients in an old-school way, often knowing their families by name, what they do for a living, the level of their activity and other health-related information. One could easily mistake his friendliness for idle chatter, but it has a purpose. An intuitive doctor with powerful instincts, he can sense issues before they manifest symptoms. When that happens, and I am always surprised by his consistent medicinal prowess, he will simply say, "Yea, I know/have read a little bit about that!" They key for me is that other doctors pick up the phone for him, would fall on a sword for him, and my association has lead me to be treated by some of the most respected doctors/specialists/surgeons in the world (who, incidentally, always praise Dr. Marsh). He is collaborative, intelligent and will go the extra mile to ensure you are well taken care of. He is a fierce advocate for his patients. Truth be told if everyone that he has ever saved wrote a review online on his behalf, there wouldn't be enough room for the love to be received. Yes, there may be a wait (make early appointments) but that's only because he is giving each person his full attention, taking the time to learn more about them, and to share a little about himself; he creates lasting, generational relationships. If he is rushed, then he is dealing with someone that needs his immediate attention. Would you not want that if it were you in need? And I feel compelled to speak to the, "money hungry," comments because that has never been motivation for him. He'd put out the shingle for free if he could (and he often does charity) but there are costs associated with having the perks of being a one-stop shop, for the convenience he offers us. My only regret is that it took me so long to recognize him publically after all he has done for me personally. Dr Marsh was great and very personable however his staff is horrible! They way over billed me for a 10 minute appointment. I spoke to a billing person about the bill and she promised to have a manager call me. I never heard from anyone and even drove to the office to speak to someone in billing and they blew me off saying no one was available. I was moving out of state so asked someone to please call me...nothing. 2 years later I get a call and they sent my bill to collections. Seems extremely shady like they purposely avoided me after I confronted them about overcharging and then sent me to collections. read more
