    Chicken piccata
    Jennifer P.

Essence was my server and she was phenomenal! My glass never went empty! She was extremely attentive! The ambiance is nice would be a lovely date night location!! The food is everything I hoped for and more! The bread comes to the table nice and warm. The fresh wedge of butter tastes fresh like they are making it in the back. I ordered the Chicken piccata and It was very authentic!! From the delicious sauce to the perfect mushroom and artichokes!! The chicken was so tender I didn't need my knife!! Will I be back! Yes this is hands down the best Italian restaurant in town. Very impressed

Baseball sirloin with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes
    Bill J.

OMG! The Baseball sirloin is outstanding!! It came with a choice of side ( I chose Yukon mashed potatoes) and a salad (I chose house salad with vinaigrette dressing). What a great meal!! They served it with a basket of warm focaccia bread right out of the oven and a plate of butter. This was heaven! You have to try this place. Definitely one of the best fine dining restaurants in the Youngstown area.

For those who need a wheelchair entrance- they had one setup in the front. The portions of food are generous! The staff is super kind. And, it has a very intimate vibe to it. There were musicians playing in the entryway when we stopped in. The cheese board and wine could have filled me up by itself. But, I also ordered a flatbread. I was amazed when 2 generously sized flatbreads came out. 10/10, definitely recommend.

They have a large selection of house wines as well as other brands. The server was kind but didn't seem very knowledgeable about the wine. All the dishes are enormous and meant to be shared. We shared the goat cheese with blackberry preserves and a Genoa flatbread and even with the three of us, we had a lot to take home with us. The duo and the flatbread were both incredible. The flatbread is actually two whole flatbreads and the dip was the size of a dinner plate. They were kind to get us an extra loaf of bread to go with the dip because we ran out. Their kitchen closed at 8 even though they were open until 9. That was about annoying because we considered ordering an additional dish but worked out fine since the dishes were so large.

Picnic benches and umbrellas are there too. Umbrellas are a bit unstable. While there one almost flew in to the lake. But we are here for wine. Walk in and you can smell the food. I did not have any food so I cannot comment. Smelled good though. People seemed to enjoy. They had a special on sangria so we went with that. They said it was a pint glass. But it's not a pint. I have had a pint many times and this was just a solo cup that is less than a pint. Not the red solo but clear with lid. Sangria was ok. Fruit was a slice of orange. A bit dry for me. Not horrible but not to my liking. They have a handful of other wines. You can try and taste just ask. The issue was really the employees. I thought they were abrupt and kinda rude. I am here to spend money and it seemed like my questions annoyed them. Never been here so I wanted to know what everything was about. Maybe I went on an off day. There were quite a few people there trying to enjoy the day. Overall i might pass next time. Good view. But so-so on the experience.

We were warmly greeted by Todd and Gina, the owners, who couldn't have been friendlier. Todd told us all about their wines, including the awards they've won, especially in California, and generously offered us the chance to try any of the wines at no cost. We started with the Gruner Veltliner, a bright, citrusy, and crisp wine. It was extremely dry compared to other Gruners we've had, which are usually more fruit-forward, but it was still quite enjoyable. Next, we tried the Riesling, which was also very good. My wife moved over to the semi-sweet side and tried the Traminette, which I eventually sampled after trying all the dry wines. We both really liked it. I then tried the Cabernet Franc, which was a medium-bodied wine with notes of raspberry, blueberry, and a light mocha oakiness--delicious! The Chambourcin was also quite good, without the typical bite or tartness. Lastly, the Flagship Red, a classic Bordeaux-style dry red, had a pleasant hint of pepper and was definitely a standout. Todd shared that they exclusively offer wines from Stony Run Vineyards in Breinigsville, PA, which has a wide selection. They're also planning to offer Old Fashioneds soon, as their winery includes a distillery, and they'll be featuring a "drink of the week" as well. What really sets this place apart, though, is Todd and Gina themselves. They're genuinely kind people who are dedicated to the community, and it was heartwarming to learn that they both served in the US Military--Todd in the Navy and Gina in the Air Force. We're already looking forward to our next visit when we're in the area again. Don't forget to thank them for their service when you stop by!
