I called Love Your Smile Dentistry next and they treated me like they were happy to have our business and asked us to send over all from previous office and they would review. Not surprisingly, her office is still super clean and organized. It had been a few years since I last visited. She also uses the latest and greatest equipment which even my dentist in Pasadena doesn't have or use. Dr Adina presented me several choices to help me with my sleep apnea (Somnomed, TAP and Panthera). Ended up deciding on the Panthera classic. The device is super light and is the smallest amongst the other companies. Fitting was straight forward as Dr. Adina took digital impressions which was awesome as I didn't have to have my mouth full of plastic trays and impression material. My dental appliance arrived in less than 2 weeks. Will hopefully be able to create a more peaceful environment so that my wife won't have to sleep next to a "raging bear" at night anymore.

Disappointing decade here after starting with the previous dentist who retired. The rest of my…read morefamily left years ago because of O'Brien's constant upselling (sealants, night guards, etc.); lack of appointments; and their frequent cancellations and rescheduling (i.e. delays and headaches). I don't like change so I stayed for convenience. Turned out: it meant constant inconvenience. They regularly cancelled appointments, and then rescheduled weeks and even months later (as they overbook). Today, they just announced they no longer take my CA teachers' insurance (not a big enough profit). As I most recently waited three months to be rescheduled--and I'm late for xrays and a cleaning--I questioned them. They said I should trust the dentist and want to pay out of pocket. Absurd. This is a for-profit venture, with everything revolving around funding O'Brien's family. Left high and dry in the most uncaring way.

And get a root canal and my dentist put a temporary cap over that tooth and told me to come back in after my vacation and have it taken care of. You know, 20 years later and the cap is still on that temporary cap mind you. Like four years ago, I ended up having stage 4 1/2 cervical cancer, which comes with a lot of radiation and chemo and none of it is friendly with your teeth nor is the medication's that dry your mouth out severely. Fast forward 20 years and I had the worst toothache. It was the whole right side of my mouth. My dentist had since Retired but there was still a dentist at that phone number. I feel kind of strange calling him a dentist because he's more of a angel. He was so patient understanding and just generally cares about people. If there was one problem with this, it's only because he made me feel so ridiculous for being afraid of the dentist when he was so gentle, and so not what my brain had wrapped around as a dentist. And it doesn't hurt he is so handsome. But truly, if you have a fear of dentist or even if you don't, this is an awesome office with people that care. I had work done yesterday and last night I received a text checking in to make sure I was OK. This morning, Dr. Ahmedo called himself to make sure I was doing OK and taking my antibiotics. I truly am so thankful that they were there and they took care of me please if you need to awesome dentist to cares about you cares about your pain and suffering this is the guy to go to. I cannot say enough good about this dentist. He's the best I recommend him 100%. And the only reason why he only got five stars is because they won't let you give more. I can only assume he is rushed to get to the next exam room. I was given nitrous for a root canal and this jerk thought he could take advantage of me and touch me while saying inappropriate things because I couldn't do anything about it. I was extremely scared and in such a vulnerable position since he was working on my tooth. That experience messed me up and scarred me for life. I wish I would have said something and filed a complaint after it happened, but I was young and too afraid to tell anyone. Hopefully he is not practicing anymore, but if he is, I pray he still isn't a sick perverted man and taking advantage of young patients.
