After being diagnosed with sleep apnea and not being able to use a CPAP, I knew who I'd ask for advice on alternatives. I knew she'd be worth the 2 hour trek from Pasadena. Not surprisingly, her office is still super clean and organized. It had been a few years since I last visited. She also uses the latest and greatest equipment which even my dentist in Pasadena doesn't have or use. Dr Adina presented me several choices to help me with my sleep apnea (Somnomed, TAP and Panthera). Ended up deciding on the Panthera classic. The device is super light and is the smallest amongst the other companies. Fitting was straight forward as Dr. Adina took digital impressions which was awesome as I didn't have to have my mouth full of plastic trays and impression material. My dental appliance arrived in less than 2 weeks. Will hopefully be able to create a more peaceful environment so that my wife won't have to sleep next to a "raging bear" at night anymore. read more

Been here twice now. Dr. Manolescu was my dentist in Los Angeles but moved to San Diego to open her own practice. She is so amazing that she is worth the drive to get my teeth cleaned. Dr. Manolescu is the only one that offers shades to make sure nothing flies into the eyes. She is also the only one that has ever offered to do a fluoride treatment after the cleaning. The fluoride treatment helps with prevention of cavities. I love how she is very tentative and in tune with what is going on with me. She is constantly checking in to make sure I am at ease during my cleaning. I would highly recommend her to anyone that wants a dentist for life. Parking is a breeze since she is located in a huge plaza. There is a 24 hour Vons in the plaza so that's a plus. read more

I just had my 2nd appointment, the 6 month follow up. I can honestly say I've found my Dentist for the foreseeable future. Her staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. MY SAN DIEGO DENTIST!!! Deciding to become a permanent resident to San Diego means establishing your hair stylist, doctors, and dentist. Doing so is trial and tribulation. I had found my dentist. 1) Professional Staffing - making an appointment over the phone was very professional. You can also schedule online. They send text and make sure you are confirmed with your upcoming appointment. 2) Dr. Manolescu + technician - provided excellent service. They had redone my X-rays because the previous place I went for X-rays were blurry and poor quality; those x rays were okay to see the roots but not very good to see what's happening with the details of the teeth. We compared that x rays with the ones they had done and I will say it was like day and night - they x rays they did were so clean and clear. Dr. Manolescu was very honest, didn't try to make a dollar out of me. She showed me how she reads the x rays and pointed out nothing was wrong with my teeth and only the tooth that has a crack (which I knew about). With the upcoming crown I had addressed the fitting of my Invisalign and she told me her lab can work with that and make a mold so I don't have to get new Invisaligns. Overall, very thorough, knowledgeable, professional, gentle, and detailed doctor who cares for the patience's needs and not their pocket book. 3) beautiful office - very clean and upscale. Their technology is up to date. Each patients room comes with a flat screen monitor so you can watch the technician take pictures of your teeth and etc. we reviewed everything together on the big screen tv. 4) Teeth Plan - I have to fix the crack in my tooth with a root canal and was quoted elsewhere ~$550. Working with Dr Manolescu and her offsite specialist quoted ~$401. 5) About a week or so after my appointment, I received a thank you card with a Starbucks gift card. Pretty awesome! I don't look forward to dentist appointments but I do at this one! Looking forward to better teeth. read more
