My only issue with this course is the staggered tee times, it's so bad. Something has to change. I had a group of 4 and a group of 3 in front of me with a single, and group of 2 behind me... my tee time was 1:30pm and we didn't get to tee off until 1:52. We didn't get finished with 18 until 6:40pm, crazy. It wasn't even that busy, just bad tee time management.

We moved to the other flag and so did SonJa. I asked Sonja if he owned the green and his reply was he didn't understand what I was saying?? I said are you allowed to chip balls from one side to another when paying customers are trying to chip. Again he pretended like he didn't know what I was talking about. I told him I've seen him there before and he is the reason I won't be returning and his reply was " This course is a public course",, "Good Don't come back"! I reported this to the Starter. When I finished playing 18, Sonja was giving instructions to his friend. I asked him if he was charging his friend? No answer because if he was he would have to pay the course for using it to make money. Lastly, I'm sure Glenview knows this goes on and they continue to let Sonja launch ball across the the practice green plus the divots in the rough, divots on the green and the harassment the paying customers have to endure Glenview is scared to say anything to him. I do enjoy the course, golfers, employees and the cost but Sonja is out of hand. There are many courses that are just as nice with basic RULES and you don't have to put up with an Idiot like Sonja. Don't forget you Helmet!

I went Saturday evening around 730. They were putting carts up. He stopped what he was doing and took me up to the pro shop (closed) then searched the cart barn. Finally he found it on the cart I had yesterday. Very appreciative of him taking time out of his night to help a guy out.

No one told me when I checked in there was a scramble event on the course. I walked in from hole #3 and asked why I was teed off in the middle of a scramble and was told the starter should have said something...which he didn't. I've played countless rounds on Cincinnati city courses and this is the first time it was a disappointment. Just tell me when I check in the situation before I go out on the course and get disappointed!

This is a hamilton county course. You need an annual car permit that is 10 to 16 dollars based on your county residency. Sand traps are decently maintained. You can walk but it is a challenge. Back 9 is harder for walking.

We gave him our tee time, went inside, and checked in with another friendly gentleman. We were early, and they had an opening available, so they offered it to us. The starter was exactly what a starter should be. . . . He explained basic course rules, gave tips, and offered expectations/reminders about fixing ball marks, pin placement, repairing divots with sand, pace of play, etc., which I appreciate. I wish all courses were better at this. A few holes into the round, another friendly gentleman drove by and offered cold water. At the turn, yet another friendly gentleman in the snack shop made a sandwich and a burger very efficiently. A friendly marshal pointed out two wayward tee shots near the end, and I complimented him on the entire staff being so friendly. He said the Head Pro would love to hear that. We finished, went inside, and had a pleasant conversation with the Head Pro. Oh, and by the way, the course itself was fantastic! The layout was challenging, but fair. The conditions were outstanding! Even the sand bunkers were in good shape and raked, which hasn't been the case at quite a few Cincy courses. The Superintendent definitely knows what he's doing! Virtually everything about this experience was awesome! We can't wait to go back!

I personally don't get any closer to golf than going to the driving range, but from what I can tell the grounds are always well maintained, the price is super cheap, I think last my husband checked it was $10 for a round. I have been told that some of the fairways cross, so keep that in mind. What I'm really here for is the Caddy Shack. We order carry out from the Caddy Shack every once in a while and the food is always amazing. I especially love to order a fish dinner during lent. The portion of fish is always large and the tarter sauce is amazing as well. One thing you can't miss is the Mac and cheese. This is one of those places I just have to hit up during lent or I'll be upset about it! If you're looking for a cheap round of golf and some good food you won't want to miss it.

We got invited to play a couple times (full disclosure for the Middle Age Man Band, www.mamband.com) and it was a blast! The friendly folks at Fernbank make it a pleasure to play, and the food and drinks flow all night! You gotta check out the schedule for the summer and stop out and enjoy live music on the lawn!
