After all my lessons, I can say this is the best investment in ANY of the money I've spent on golf…read more Dropped a bunch of strokes from my game (was high 90s, now hovering around 90 and threatening high 80s!!) , not losing anywhere near the number of golf balls due to errant shots. Makes going out and playing a round so much more enjoyable. Highly recommend GOLFTEC and Mike Deiters to really improve your game!!

I have completed 12 or so lessons and here are my experiences and I think what you can expect - and…read morewhat I would maybe do differently 1) I do well with the instant video feedback, more often then not I don't realize how jacked up certain parts of my swing are but when you can see it in front of you it makes a huge difference - I feel like Chris my coach was able to pick up a key or two in my swing to fix every time 2) The overall package prices are steep - no doubt about it, I picked up golf later in life after I finished residency/fellowship but certainly I wouldn't have been able to afford it prior to that. I didn't ask/enquire about financing or other payment options but I'd imagine that maybe is an option for some. However, if you factor in what I paid per lesson plus the 'free' 90 minutes of bay time a week it actually isn't a bad deal. 3) for me I took advantage of several of the fittings as well (driver, hybrid, woods) also they do have demo clubs of all the latest models so before I did my fittings I tried all the latest ping, taylormade, callaway, mizuno, titleist clubs during my practice sessions. 4) I would say you should have a good idea of what you actually want to work on - my mistake was working on irons every lesson for my first 7/8 lessons, I wish I would have sprinkled in a driver lesson earlier as I'm only really working on it now. 5) My kids are a little young to be golfing but I do see families come in where a teen is getting a lesson while their (presumably) parent is in the bay next door getting practice in which is also pretty cool - not sure how many places you could do that. There is some downtime typically when you are waiting for a bay if you get there early but the putting green in the main area is great so I generally just mess around there. My pro (chris) is great and certainly a lot of fun to work with would recommend him to anyone visiting.

Never made it to the first hole tee box…read more I decided to change my normal golf course circuit & drive up to Beckett Ridge for a pleasant round of golf. It was such a pretty day for golf - a weekday Thursday - and most courses were busy. I noticed an opportunity here based on an app called TEEOFF which showed available times & even the fee for a round with cart. The prices were quite reasonable I thought as I drove up to the course. I did not book through the app but instead decided just to go to the pro shop when I arrived there & they can accommodate me as a single walk on wanting only to play 9 then move on to other things. So here I am in the pro shop speaking to a very nice man behind the desk. He said 'no problem getting you on & you can play either the front or back... your choice'. He then told me it would be $28. In shock I said that I am walking & only playing 9 holes. He fumbled around for a few seconds looking at what he keyed in to be sure it was correct & even confirmed the price on a print out sheet tacked up on the bulletin board then said 'that is correct- $28'. Looking again at the TeeOff app I noticed that I could do a full 18 w/ a riding cart booked at multiple times from noon into early evening. I just do not get why they (or any business ) is willing & able to sell the tee time at one rate but once there in person that rate is off the table. Look... I practice the theory of 'I rather make a fast nickel than a slow dime'. That place should be sold out packed but they are not because all the golfers are prudent enough to know the charged price is a bit elevated. Get them down a few and then that end of day sales report will be much higher.

Another great day at Beckett Ridge Golf Club. Course is is in great shape. New ownership has made…read morea huge difference.
