Not the walker, Dylan who was excellent, but the owner Nicole and her administrative assistant, Claudia both should be ashamed of themselves. They bill in advance for the services that will be provided days before. They give you surprise charges that they have not discussed with you in advance and state "you should read our policies closer"-from Nicole (owner) 11/22/22. Nicole is unprofessional in her communication to the client (who in my former business the client is usually treated with respect and appreciation). They cancel the day of a service "scheduled" I have used many fine services in the Coral Gables area and this one is now very much off the list to recommend and to ever trust my credit card to this business operation. We have left our pup at Nicole's house for boarding twice and it has been an experience beyond what we could have asked for. She provides the type of care and affection to him that we do and that is so hard to find! After trying out other boarding places and picking up a scared, sad, trembling dog, we said we needed to find something better that made him feel at home. Not just a dog walker, but a animal lifestyle expert! I got signed up with Miami Pet Concierge about a year ago after reading a ton of Yelp reviews from many different companies and realizing that MPC was by far the most recommended company in the area. I am a busy professional who works long hours and travels a lot, so I was looking for a company who could provide daily walks as well as care for my dog while I was out of town on business. Its an expense I was willing to incur for the welfare and happiness/health of my dog, provided I could find the right company to really 'care' for my dog and not just watch her. When I decided to 'interview' with MPC, Nicole (the owner) came over with one of her employees to meet my dog and get a tour around the house and neighborhood. She took the time to get to know my dog and learn her favorite 'spots' around the neighborhood. She sat down on the floor and asked me all kinds of questions about my beloved Beagle. She recommended that I change up her food to a more nutritious food specifically formulated for my breed, which turns out to have been an excellent suggestion. In addition, she quickly diagnosed a life-long issue I have had with my dog and recommended changes to her home environment which caused her to no longer pee in the house! A miracle! Needless to say, from our initial 'interview' I knew right away this was the right company to go with for my Beagles needs. Almost immediately after getting started with MPC I noticed my dog was much happier, much more energetic, and had begun to drop some lb's from her waistline! Right away I knew I had made the right decision. Nicole's staff leaves a daily report card for me so that I know how my little student performed that day, if she had used the bathroom or not, and how many of her favorite snack-foods (carrots) she had for snack. This little touch is a great example of how her company goes above and beyond to provide excellent service and communicate with the client about how their pet is doing. I have ZERO concerns about the safety and security of my home and leaving keys in the hands of someone who isn't a family member. They even help by turning on some specific lights when they visit mid-day so that when I get home my house is lit-up and safe. After a few months of working with Nicole my Beagle suffered a neck injury (pinched nerve) late in the night on a weekend. Recalling my past conversations with Nicole about her expertise in animal physical therapy and rehabilitation, I called her for advice. She recommended a specific emergency vet I could visit and even called ahead for me to let them know I was on the way. When I arrived, I was treated excellently (Ill be writing them a Yelp review as well) and for the days after the event Nicole was checking in to see how my pet was doing. Talk about above and beyond! Since then I have been taking advantage of another of Miami Pet Concierges services which is physical therapy, having Nicole help rehab my Beagles neck back to 100% health. I would trust nobody else to do this kind of work. So my recommendation would be as follows... If you are looking for a dog-walker, perhaps looks elsewhere. If you are looking for a team of people with the expertise and enthusiasm to properly care for your pet in all facets of their life, including providing a daily romp around the neighborhood while you are busy at work, then Miami Pet Concierge is the company to call. We recently moved to Miami and have had a world of medical issues with our 9 mo. old puppy. When we took our pup to a boarding place that we thought we had done our homework on, he contracted kennel cough. We had to travel immediately after this, but our dog was so sick. Our 65 pound dog is a rescue, and he is now, at 3 years old, a totally wonderful and safe dog. But he has some very challenging DNA in him, and as a puppy and really young dog, there were several times when he might have been overwhelming. With the help of Nicole, Yvonne, and all the folks at Miami Pet Concierge, we truly learned how to be better people for our dog, and he has become the most delightful, loving, sweet, energetic, yet calm big guy around. He is such an important part of our family, and we couldn't have gotten there without the loving tutoring, training, and attention we got from MPC. When we are away, we know he is with people who truly love him. In fact, the love goes beyond what you would ever expect. On one trip we took, they house sat for our dog and elderly cat. This service is probably great for dogs, cats and birds. Nicole clearly loves animals and is knowledgeable about birds, dogs and cats. Ours were her first rabbit clients to my knowledge. We left our rabbits in their care while we were away for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's eve celebrations which we booked in advance before Thanksgiving. The busy holiday season probably contributed to our main issue with MPC - during the week and a half's worth of 2 daily visits we paid for, they spent less than 25 minutes total per day from the time they opened the door to the time it closed with our animals (thanks to ADT's door and motion sensors for our burglar alarm we followed this closely). After seeing how little time they spent with our animals during Thanksgiving, we mentioned the disparity to Nicole who cited issues with arming and disarming the Pulse system on our burglar alarm. I understand growing pains with learning a new tool and even so, we tried to book another company, but none of the other services we contacted were able to take on additional clients during the holidays so we just stuck it out and hoped for better service. Rabbits are prey animals and don't show illness by sulking or whining like cats or dogs (or even birds) and you actually have to take time to observe and interact with them to detect illness. If either of our bunnies had gotten sick, I doubt they would have survived given that I've watched rabbits go from happy and healthy to dead in just a few hours from common ailments. I'm glad they got to be in their home which is certainly less stressful than being boarded, but our senior citizen bunn needs more care than they gave. I probably won't do it again unless I'm sure she's not overbooked for the holidays. read more
