I was initially apprehensive when the unit didn't move from the UPS hub and UPS tried to throw them under the bus. After a couple of days however, it started moving through their network and the reason they gave afterwards was flight delays. I have been looking for a particular type of Stratocaster (Master Built by Jason Smith) for years and yesterday I found 5 at Miami Guitars that got my attention. Purchasing a guitar of this cost, without being able to play it personally (I'm in California) requires a conversation about all the particulars of each guitar. Gabriel took my call at the shop and was exactly the right person to talk too. He walked me through the nuances of each guitar I was interested in. When Gabriel said "these are my babies", I knew we were speaking the same language. I shopped all over locally and online, including some national music stores, and none of them even came close to the price on the PRS Custom 24 I bought from Miami Guitars. They have a great, specialized website, but if you're able to visit in person, it's a guitarist's dream--all high-end, beautiful instruments in a laid-back, intimate space. Definitely no junky gear here, and totally worth a visit to try out a selection of gear you'd have to visit 3 or 4 other stores just to find in stock! I've also bought some small gear (slides, strap, etc.) from their website, and the customer service was as excellent following after the online purchase as it was in person. As a beginner, he showed me the differences between brands and also showcased a few guitars he recommended I would be interested in. If you want that personal type of service that you do not get from the big chain stores, this is your place. For those who may know me, I love a good deal. Usually that resorts to me finding something I love and ordering online. I hate that it has come to that but online stores tend to have the best prices. Every now and then I find that diamond in the sand and find a local store with great prices and great service. If I could support a local store then I exercise that option and do so.
