This store has actually been around for decades if you consider that it uses the same space where the legendary 70's store ACE Music was. Some of the staff remains, and they are truly knowledgeable having been in the business for decades. From guitars amps and PAs to accessories, this is the place to go if you want to avoid dealing with inexperienced staff and corporate stores. read more

This place is awesome. We have purchased sound equipment, mics, speakers, cables, two keyboards (a Korg and a Kurzweil), percussion instruments and music. The staff are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and go the extra mile. There are dozens of place in Miami and Fort Lauderdale to buy guitars and DJ equipment but none that hace the expertise and follow-up AFTER the sale. We've been working with Dan Pérez for over a dozen years now. He's always our first point of contact for a new purchase or for repair. Recommend without hesitation. read more

nice staff. good selection of guitars and amps. Great to deal with

Nice to have a local music shop like this. Very knowledgable staff, friendly and professional. My son and I dealt with Daniel, helpful guy.

WOW!! This is a great store for the musician. You walk in and there are staff there to help and super friendly and non-condescending (I tend to feel a little intimidated by places like Guitar Center because I don't play an instrument). Came here on Saturday to pick up some reeds for my son for his sax. Walk in the door at a little after 10 a.m. and there are four guys at their stations, working away. I ask where I can find what I need and walla there we are two minutes later with more than what we need and ready to pay and walk out the door. But my kids like to snoop in music stores and I like to encourage them. So we snooped a little and talked some more to the guys working there. This is one very tidy and well kept store and with knowledgeable employees and I think I will enjoy going back here to explore further when I have a little more time and most definitely when I decide to pick up the ukulele again.. read more

I went here one day to purchase a new pedal and a couple cords. I ended up talking to the guitar guy there for like an hour and he showed me how to play some really cool tunes on an acoustic. Nice people + Nice prices = Nice place read more

Yelp! You did not disappoint in the least! I came in here looking for some guidance as to how to make my old guitar more playable. I was having a tough time with the string and the action and my hands just were not strong enough I guess. They gave me a full run down of my guitar, an it was not good news really, but not unexpected. They told me the laundry list of repairs, and advised against them since they would total about the same as the value of the guitar. They instead offered a fix that was more my speed, of 6 bucks. They suggested some strings that would ease my suffering and then if I stick with playing I can look into a new guitar later down the road. These guys were so welcoming and knowledgeable that I also picked up a strap and some sweet headphones. I was so happy to get to buy here rather than Best Buy. I felt like I had my own consultants with no agendas! Great experience! read more

My favorite place to buy studio gears. The prices are incredible affordable compared to GC Or SA. They even have better prices than amazon, I have prime membership and I rather go to Space Music just because of the low prices. also, the staff is great, helpful and knowledgeable. read more

Best prices, & nicest staff in Miami. Located in the old Ace music location , here you will find a good selection of instruments & sound equipment @ great prices, and without the moronic sales guys at the large music equipment chain stores. read more

One of the few businesses on yelp! that deserve all 5 stars. This place has a great variety of instruments, and frankly, the prices are unreal low. If any aspiring musician needs gear, here is where you start, especially if you are "ballin' on a budget". I walked in looking for wind screens for my mic, but quickly found myself looking at other equipment that i originally didn't go in for. I have to say the general ambience and more than fair pricing is what drew me in.. I personally found it very appealing that the staff were so helpful and were not pressuring me at all. A truly great find and where I will go first before others for gear. read more

I was there for the first time in August 2012. Needed strings for my violin. I'm new to this instrument. Very friendly and extremely helpful group of guys. I will definitely go back for any supplies I may need. read more

This is definitely my "Go-To" place for expert music equipment and advice. I just got a new (used) Tenor Saxophone. These guys evaluated it, tested it, and recommended a couple accessories to help me keep it playing well. I wanted to buy several music books, but they correctly talked me into only one book which correctly zeroed in on my immediate needs and talent lacks. Now that I've begun to get a better understanding of the saxophone, I can properly direct my attention towards some fast moving, scale oriented blues progressions. Daniel showed me that just some dampness on a clean white rag would make the sax shine and that I didn't need some expensive polish to buy. My shiny saxophone and slim talents will surely get someone to toss a coin or two into the hat as I wait for the bus :) Thanks guys....... you're the best!!!! read more

I have been visiting Space Music, North Miami since 2001, when I moved from Brooklyn, New York. I tend to view DJ equipment at other stores, or online; but end up buying what I need from Space. The staff is very patient and do not force you to buy anything, they will talk to you about whatever you think you need and will give you the best price and options available. These guys are not just out to make a quick buck, they are dedicated to providing the best customer experience possible. As long as Space Music, North Miami is around, you can count on me to visit them for my DJ'ing needs. read more

What can I say.. First off the employees are kind, helpful and know their stuff. Not too long ago I went over there to purchase a ukulele and I came out with not only the uku but a beginners book, pitch pipe and universal power adaptor for my Casio keyboard all in a good price! It's such a friendly relaxing environment. I highly recommend my friends who are musicians/interested in trying a new instrument to check this place out!! 11 out of 5 stars! read more

A cool bunch of guys who sell good stuff without pressuring you.

For years, I lived right across the street from Space Music and never went inside. I'm nowhere near a musician so I never had a reason to. I've since moved, but last year my 8 year old son started taking music lessons, and that was the only music store that I knew of in Miami. So, off we went to Space Music. It looks inconspicuous from the outside because its a 1 story, grey building with no windows. But inside, its definitely a music super store. The staff is WONDERFUL. Always so kind and helpful, and willing to answer any questions you might have, which is great for this newbie to the music scene. Whenever my son has any music needs, instruments, books, accessories, Space Music is our place. Make it yours as well. read more
