I contacted Eduardo and we communicated via WhatsApp, he was very personable and helpful. He was going to be out of the country at the time I would arrive in Florida, but we set up an appointment to meet up on his return. He kept in touch with me while he was away which I appreciated. The guitar I was interested in was the Esteve 7SR, the price was right and Eduardo had done a review of it on YouTube so I had some idea of how it sounded. When we finally met up at Eduardo's studio, I was very impressed with his warmth and his professional manner. He welcomed me in, and offered me a seat and some water. He went straight to the business of getting to know a bit about me and my playing, I had a few questions for him and he gave me the answers I was hoping for. He brought out 4 guitars which were in and around my price range, and had me play each of them without identifying the one I came to purchase. I was never rushed, he gave me a few pointers while I was playing and he also played each guitar so I could hear how each one sounded from in front rather behind the sound board. In the end, I picked the one I came for. It was meant to be. I love my Esteve 7SR and I absolutely love the service, attention to detail, the warmth and professionalism shown by Eduardo. Oh, I got a set of strings, and a guitar humidifier at no extra cost. It was the best guitar shopping experience I have ever had. The best thing about the studio is the effort the staff makes to connect to their students. The atmosphere was immediately comfortable. The studio has many lesson rooms, it's own full-sized state of the art sound stage, a band rehearsal room, and a recording studio. OnStage Studios is a full-service music studio. You can even have your instruments repaired. This is exciting to me because I play several instruments and two are currently in need of repair. I trust them totally to do a good job. But I completely understood since the guitars are hanging on small hooks and could easily fall out of a customer's hands. The staff took me on a short tour of the acoustic guitars with brief guidance of their pricing, sound and quality. The guitar pricing ranged $400 to several thousand depending on the brand, appearance and structural integrity. Penny Lane offers lifetime warranties on select guitars and provide in-house repairs. Aside from musical string instrument sales they offer lessons from professional instructors but its not cheap. The one hour private lesson is $180.00 or a discounted four sessions of lessons for $550.00. I have experience with the electric rock n' roll guitars from the 1980s but thought it would be a change of scenery to purchase an acoustic guitar and learn the chords the right way.
