I absolutely love their specialty chocolate truffles sold here. I needed a quick birthday gift and luckily found a spot right in front as I pulled in to grab a nice box of some special dark chocolate truffles for a dear friend. There's a reason these folks have been in business for this long and it's easy to see why. They don't cut corners on quality and the taste is evident. Not only are they warm and friendly, but they sell some of the most delicious chocolates in Miami making these pricey treats a must do on your time in Miami Beach. I usually get a variety of dark chocolate truffles and have tried most of their flavors and can't decide on which one is my favorite. Their baskets make lovely and delicious gifts for any occasion. Great, friendly local business convenient to Miami Beach! We stumbled across this little shop while walking back to our hotel after lunch. Like, how can you not stop at a place called "Chocolates." Upon entering, we were greeted immediately by two guys and I'm kicking myself now for not remembering their names but they were super helpful. Offered us samples of literally anything we wanted to try. Weren't pushy at all. The shop itself is absolute chocolate heaven. Very cute. Also every flavor you can think of for those small little chocolate things you get in a box. They'll also ship it anywhere you want! This is a great little gem that I never would've found if it weren't for my fellow Yelpers. I am crazy for chocolate, but it must be good chocolate, and Schakolad has got the goods! The chocolate is delicious and comes in all varieties--dark, milk, white, pareve, etc. The family that owns the place is very friendly, helpful, and patient, and everyone seems passionate about what they do and confident in their product. It has such a great hometown feel that you often miss in a big city like Miami. The prices are very reasonable and everything is yummy. There are flavors and fillings galore, certainly something to fit all tastes. The only down side is that since Miami is so hot, you'll have to eat it all at once if you're walking rather than driving. Welp, guess that means I've gotta down ten pieces of chocolate in 5 minutes. What a shame that would be, but I'll make the sacrifice ;). The caramel here is delicious! I make caramels and other candies at home all the time, and I would never call any commercial caramel out their on the supermarket and convenience store shelves good, but this stuff has that buttery, rich, creamy flavor that caramel should have. I most definitely approve! I don't remember the names of things, but the almond crunch candy was deeelish, as was the chocolate-covered caramel and one of the coconut candies. Basically, I can't remember what on earth I had now, since it has been a while, but it was all sooooo good, and I remember enough that my mouth is already watering, so stop reading and just go! THEIR DELIVERY OPTION IS A SCAM!!!!! I don't normally write many yelp reviews, but these guys really looked to swindle me and were dishonest with 2 other companies in the process. First, I looked to order $45 worth of chocolate for my father for his birthday and have it delivered to his apartment 3 blocks away. I went on their website and saw a $15 delivery fee. Thinking the fee was a bit much, I saw they are on Seamless. So, I placed the order there instead. Shortly after placing the order, the store canceled. They told Seamless "their car was broken". Seamless was great and gave a $5 customer credit for my trouble, but couldn't do anything else. Next, I tried to solve the problem by using Uber Eats (where they also advertise), since Uber Eats uses their own cars. I placed the same exact order and again the store cancelled!! This time they changed their story and told Uber Eats they were out of the type of chocolate I ordered. I could have tired to call them on the last bluff by changed my order through Uber Eats, but was so disgusted with them refusing my business multiple times to force me to order through their website for an additional $15 I decided not to ever give them any of my business ever again. Which is something I'm loathe to do for a kosher restaurant, as I really try to support each and every one. TLDR: they will only deliver to you if you order through their site for a $15 fee, even though they advertise on cheaper options. And they made it very difficult to send my father a birthday present this year in the process. Beware. read more

After a nice dinner, finace and I spotted this chocolate shop. I'm such a sucker that I had to at least go in and look. The staff are very friendly and offered us free samples after we said it was our first time in the store. There are LOTS of choices, so it took me a while to make a decision. Luckily, they were all patient while I was thinking. The only negative comment I really have is that we kept being reminded that they ship everywhere. That's a great convenience, but it was definitely a way to try to pressure me into buying more than what I wanted. The chocolate pieces are of great quality. I enjoyed the free samples so much that I decided to buy a bunch of chocolates as gifts since we went around the holidays. I stopped in here after my mani/pedi next door at Something Perfect and was in pure heavenly bliss upon arrival. It smells like HEAVEN on earth. The owner was SOOO sweet and gracious. I told him it was my first time and he gave me a few tastings which really impressed me as other chocolatiers don't have that same complimentary policy. The chocolate was EXQUISITE. They used whole nuts (pistachio, almond, peanut) in their chocolate which very few places do. It's typically slithered or crushed. The little chocolate piece had 5 pieces of whole pistachio nuts. It was delectable. Coming from DC where the avg gourmet chocolate is $2.25 a piece, I was highly impressed with their reasonable pricing .90 - $1.05 per piece. I wish I lived in Miami so I could frequent more often. Alas, they do ship nationwide. I highly recommend if you're a local or tourist. You won't be disappointed. read more

Visited Schakolad yesterday for a chocolate/wine tasting event. I was pleasantly surprised! They gave us a generous tasting of all (about 6) of their imported wines (from Argentina) that are available for purchase and they also gave us about 6 samples of their chocolates. Their wines were okay; nothing out of this world. But their chocolate! That's a different story. Amazing! Decadent. Tasted fresh, rich, and unique. Love the chocolate here!! I was at a function several years ago and received a beautiful gift basket of their chocolates. The holidays were approaching and I thought I would hold on to it for a couple weeks and give it as a present for a party I was attending. I also wanted to taste the chocolate.
