Stopped by MIAM Café for Saturday brunch and it was packed. Line was long but we didn't wait for that long and were able to sit outside. It started raining but we were fine since they have umbrellas for all tables and we know how rain can stop pretty quick during summer time! They had a DJ playing that day so it was a nice touch since it was outside and didn't feel super loud. The menu has good mix, you can go with the more healthy options like eggs or bowls or choose from their variety of pancakes or pastries. The place has a little bit of that industrial feeling and the building is hard to miss from far away with the black and white stripes. I tried their vegetarian bowl which was a little smaller than I expected but had all the right ingredients. One of my friends ordered the guava and cheese pancakes and they were pretty good, I would order them to share since they were a little too sweet but definitely worth trying. I would love to try their Nutella pancakes next time I visit! read more

Miami has a plethora of places that doe's bottomless and larger glasses. This ain't it. My friend order a breakfast sandwich that's shown. Looked great however, the bread was old. Super old. I visited Miam Cafe last month for a power bite right after yoga. I ordered the Burrito Breakfast, and to my surprise, it was a really good portion! Burrito was amazing! It came with egg, potatoes, and bacon, but I don't eat bacon, so I got it removed. It comes with a side spring mix salad, and everything was so good. Like NONE. The eggs were too much. The peppers and onions were hard. The sauce they served on the side I looked forward to since this was the most bland omelette I've ever had still had no flavor. The potatoes were covered in some kind of seasoning yet I kid you not still had no taste. It was the weirdest thing. Whoever is in the kitchen seems to be afraid of something called salt. I was so excited to get their fluffy pancakes and it disappoints me that Im only giving them 2 stars. I came here twice already to taste the pancakes. The first time they ran out batter at 11:30ish. It's hard to find Fluffy Japanese Pan Cakes in South Florida. When I saw one of the instagram foodies repost the pancakes I drove my princess from North Broward all the way down to Wynwood to try them. The girls stated they loved them. They also drank a cold pressed orange juice. As a dad that constantly tries to feed their kids the healthies option I was glad they had cold pressed orange juice there instead of the pasteurized stuff that has cooked all the nutrients. There was one couple ahead of my table and the host called them multiple times outside and they never came or paid attention and then the host called my table b/c they never came up. My table and I sat down at our table. When the couple realized they were called and never went up. They told the host and the host made me and my table get up and go back outside to wait because the couple wasn't paying attention. This place is a clown show, plain and simple. As other reviews have noted, the lines are ridiculous, and there are maybe 1 or 2 people working behind the counter at any given time. To say they are perpetually understaffed would be an understatement. I was in Miami with a group of friends and we stopped in here for brunch on a Saturday morning. After waiting roughly 20 minutes in line, the woman behind the counter announced that there would be a "ONE HOUR WAIT" for any food dishes. I had never heard of this in my life for a mom and pop cafe. What were they making, champagne shrimp pappardelle? People were ordering egg sandwiches. If you can't make that in under an hour, let me behind the counter and I'll make it myself. Jesus. Rather than go somewhere else, we decided to just order a few pre-made empanadas, pastries and coffees and call it a day. But somehow there was a wait for that stuff too (!). What is going on at Miam Cafe?? After placing the order, we scanned the restaurant for somewhere to sit. Nothing. Nada. Every single table was taken. After waiting another 10 minutes, the five of us managed to stake out a tiny table for two; we huddled around it and waited for our "food." Eventually, someone brought us our cold empanadas and a few of our cold brew coffees. But, of course, they forgot our pastries and one of our cold brews. After flagging down 3 different people and showing them our receipt, they finally brought out our entire order. But here's the most shocking part about this whole ordeal - the food was completely and utterly mediocre! The empanadas were supermarket-quality, and the pastries weren't anything that you couldn't get at Dunkin Donuts. Which begs the question - why are so many people lining up on a Saturday morning and waiting inordinate amounts of time for totally mediocre food? It baffles me. 0/5 would not recommend. read more

It's a cafe after all so don't wait to be seated. The pastry stand had so many pastries! Definitely aesthetically pleasing. Underwhelming. While looking around for a place to have breakfast/brunch with my family we spotted MIAM Cafe. The menu looked good, the restaurant has a decent environment to enjoy a meal (although the music was blasting for a breakfast cafe). But after this point, the experience went downhill. After we ordered we started having issues with the servers. When cleaning the table they spilled all the sugar on the floor next to the table and just left it there, then they brought out the wrong menu item multiple times, some items we ordered never arrived, and finally, some of the eggs we got were raw. Although the menu looks good, and some of the dishes were decent, the service and food consistency leaves a lot to be desired. My Criteria 5 stars: The best food I have ever had, or an excellent option given the price. 4 stars: Good food, a restaurant I look forward to trying again. 3 stars: Good food, a restaurant that I am indifferent to. 2 stars: Below average experience, will not go again. 1 star: This restaurant should be closed. read more
