Such a beautiful store. I was in search of a dress for my daughter's quinceanera and found many beautiful selections. Service was amazing the girls here were so helpful. Made me feel beautiful in many of the looks I tried on. Sizes were accurate to my size. read more

This Del Mar store is out of business/closed. Apparently, you can still order online.

Can't even give 1 star. Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with. Product is awful. Nothing like pictures. Customer service non existing. If anyone on here would like to start a law suit I'll pay for it. This is a horrendous company. Please tell anyone you may know. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!! Only 1 star because i cant put none read more

Do not shop with this company. Their sizing chart is not AA friendly. Please note all models are Caucasian. Which is why they have make sure to say 'read the sizing chart'. Their Customer Service is terrible. Email only. No communication. They offer a return policy but charge a 25% restocking fee, even when it's their fault. BEWARE DO NOT SHOP WITH THEM read more

All of the dresses came with the zippers not working. The quality it horrible. I can't believe we waited 5 months for these low quality dresses. Shop elsewhere! read more

I should have read the dozens of 1-star reviews before ordering a dress. I ordered a dress 6 weeks ago and still haven't received it. I understand that they are waiting for a shipment to come through, but the most frustrating part is their CUSTOMER SUPPORT is literally terrible. The dress I ordered was expensive so you can understand that I just want an update. Email took 3 weeks for a response, I responded right away, and it's been another 5 days and no response back. Their call center just keeps telling me they are waiting on a shipment with no real update. I asked a question on Instagram and got blocked. GET A NEW SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER if they cant handle a little question about an order. do not buy from this store!!!! read more

Uh pretty sure they hide my original review somehow. Here's a tip for this store if you want cute dresses for cheaper price. GO TO THE STORE AND PHYSICALLY BUY THEIR DRESS IF THEY HAVE YOUR SIZE AND TAKE IT HOME. I believe that this store can be terrible online and in general bc here's why: I Tried on a size 4 dress and it was a bit tight. So they told me they can order it for me in size 6. Waited 2 months for my dress to finally come and it was size 4. Yup. I'm pretty sure it was the same dress I tried on in the first place and they ran out of inventory so they gave me size 4. Pros: cheap pricing. My dress was beautiful for only $200. Cons: literally everything else. But if you're a bargain shopper; trust my advice. It'll be worth it as long as you can find your size in store read more

I had a great experience at Mia Bella today. I walked in without an appointment and was still assisted and treated kindly by both women that were working at 11 am this morning. Haley was especially helpful with selecting dresses that fit the look I was going for. I had my eyes on a specific dress that I found online and they had it in store (just not my size). Although I tried on 6 different dresses, I chose the dress I had been admiring. The only issue I have, and currently face, is ordering the dress in my size. It has caused quite a bit of confusion. It's available online but the women that work at the store in Del Mar told me that they could only get the next size up because the designer stopped making smaller sizes. If the designer isn't making it, then why can I still purchase it online? I ordered the dress before hearing of the possibility that the designer ceased producing my size. Nonetheless, this is a great shop and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a stunning dress. Side note - Haley has been assisting me and answering my questions since I left the store and ordered the dress. Mia Bella San Diego's customer service truly is off the charts amazing. I can't wait to wear the Pennsylvania and represent my state, California, at the National American Miss pageant in July! read more

If only I could give this zero stars.... We ordered a wedding dress 03 Apr 2021. When paying we agreed that the dress would be altered and ready for pick up on the first week of June because we were flying out on June 17th for our wedding. The first week of June rolls in and we call the store to ensure the dress was ready for pick up. The manager told us they have been busy with prom so they haven't got to our dress yet even though we paid in full two months ago and the agreement was the first week of June. They told us we would be able to pick it up on the 10th. Next we call on the 10th to confirm pick up and the store told us they were a tad bit behind but we would be able to pick the dress up on 14th. Yes, 3 days before we fly out for the wedding. After going back and fourth with them about how close they were cutting it we had faith that they'd stick to their word. Now it's June 14th and we call the store 20+ times and no one answers the phone. June 15th we call the store a total of 8 time but this time we leave messages and guess what.... No one gives us a call back. So on the 16th, yes one day before the wedding we drive up to get the dress. In route while stuck in traffic they finally answer the phone. They tell us they haven't received the dress yet. But they'll make sure the seamstress delivers it in the next hour for us. Pissed I hang up in their face. 10 mins later we call back and they say "oh we have the dress, it's been here the hole time". Twenty minutes later we get to the store to try on the dress. Guess what..... The dress hasn't even been altered. We purchased the dress back April 3rd and the dress hasn't been looked at yet. Time roles by and I curse the assholes out. The come up with a quick solution. They suggest we Drive to National City to their seamstress and have her do the alterations on the spot. So instead of packing for my wedding and honeymoon we are in a run down neighborhood at a woman's house who barely speaks English getting the dress altered at 7pm , 12 hours before our flight. Thank you Mia Bella for making our experience everything we ever wished for. Thanks for the constant stress. Thanks for sticking to your word. Thanks for answer your phone. Thanks for returning our calls. Thanks for letting us know when the dress was ready for pick up. You guys suck! Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. read more

I had a great experience here, I went in person to the shop and two great girls helped me try on and pick out dresses for a wedding I'm attending in Italy. They were so friendly and helpful. I ended up showing them a dress online that they didn't have in store but they said they could get it ordered and rushed for me. I ordered it on Wednesday afternoon and by Friday at 2pm I was picking it up from the store. It was also a great price for the quality of gown. I would recommend going in person after reading prior reviews. I had a wonderful in store experience. read more

The worst! Last year my daughter and purchased a dress for her pageant at Mia Bella Couture. We met the owners there. Customer service was great! Had a great experience! Mia Bella moved across the street to a new store. My daughter, her friends and I went to the store to purchase a dress for their prom. The store was messy and the worst customer service. Especially one of the employee there, supposedly she is a manager at the store. She is very rude and very unprofessional. The employees in the store need customer service training! With her attitude I was not the only customers that walked out. We will never go there again! Mia Bella just lost 6 sales. read more

So, my mother in law finally connected with someone about the dress arriving in the wrong color. She let them know that, given the disaster everything leading up to her dress arriving in a completely different color than she selected and paid for, she wanted a 50% discount. The refused because it would not be "profitable" for them, despite these dresses being cheaply made in India and China and then marked up exponentially. So instead, my mother in law left with no dress at all and Mia Bella will have no profit whatsoever rather than rectifying the situation and getting half price when that's honestly the least they can do for all of this false advertising, dishonesty, evasiveness and laziness. My mom cancelled her order as well, though it never was ready for pick up. I cannot emphasize this enough: DO NOT SHOP HERE. read more

I don't even know where to begin! I LOVE Mia Bella Couture (and their line René Atelier) and know I can always count on their shop to help get me looking ready for any occasion! Naomi went above and beyond with her customer service. The are the best known retailer for a dress designer I purchased my wedding dress from (Rene Altier) and I was exhausting attempts to hear back about my dress. She explained to me the designer was making a transformation to not sell directly to consumers any longer and go in touch with the production manager. She tracked down my dress and gave me an update, and is making sure it gets shipped to me. This is my dream dress, and I was getting frantic. So appreciate Naomi beyond words! 10/10 for customer service and dress selection. Thanks!!! read more

Please do not ever go here. The owner Derrick and helper Jade are horrible people. They sent the wrong dresses, didn't check them for 3 weeks, ordered new dresses and they arrived completely trashed!! Dresses have manufacturing problems all the time but it is your job to take care of customers and not blame the designer. They were not willing to help at all and messed up the dress even more. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to go this negligent place with cruel customer service. They assured us they would take care of us and that was the last thing that they did. Now I understand why there are bad reviews!! Jade had asked us to write a review when we first trying on the dress so of course we wrote a great review but now that it is said and done, ONE STAR! PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE, THERE ARE MUCH MUCH BETTER PLACES! read more

Can't get the store to respond to emails or answer the phone about a formal dress order. Love the fact that they excuse their poor customer service with "low staffed and overwhelmed ". It's 6 days away from the event and I have not received the dress yet and no clue if I will. There isn't even a tracing on the dress delivery. The stress of not knowing if the dress will even come and the anger knowing my money was taken but not getting what you paid for on its promised time is beyond frustrating. It's just not worth it here . My daughter and I traveled to San Diego for a short vacation and to also visit this store, hoping to find a prom dress. She found a dress, we asked the sales lady if we could order it. She told us to do it online so that is processed faster. I had the sales rep make sure online the dress was available. She assured me it was all going to be fine. She gave me the dress name, she watched me pull it up online on my phone. I felt very brushed off but regardless my daughter was able to try on and find a dress in her XS size. We ordered the dress and the sales lady assured us we would get the dress in time for the event. I was super nervous about that fact but the sales lady was confident I would be fine. I even paid extra to have the dress shipped in 3 days instead of the free shipping. She was very well aware I needed the dress in 3 weeks so we could alter the length. I'm 6 days away from the event and I cannot find a tracking , I have had no return comment to my 3 emails, I call the online customer service number and the Del Mar store to only get a recording and no option to leave a message. I now have a daughter pretty freaked out that she's got to find a dress in such a short time. Will this dress ever come in time? The stress of not knowing is terrible so now we have to go find another dress off the shelf because there is no time to order one anymore. I don't recommend anyone from out of town ordering a dress from here or online. It's just not worth the stress. read more

DO NOT BUY ONLINE!! DO NOT BUY ONLINE!! DO NOT BUY ONLINE!! I usually do not write Yelp reviews, but I am channeling my frustration and anger on to here. I bought 2 dresses 1 month before Senior prom. Mia Bella Couture's website said "3-5 business days" for shipping. Right away, I got a shipping notification which said "label created." HOWEVER, 2 weeks before my event, 1 of my dresses were randomly cancelled and I was refunded. I did not get any explanation as to why it was cancelled. This made me frantically email Mia because my 2nd dress still has not shipped as shipping still said "label created." Mia has TERRIBLE customer service as I wrote around 5 emails before I recieved a 1 sentence reply, saying how "they were unaware of the situation." Moreover, when I tried calling, their voiceboxes were always full (almost like it was on purpose). Keep in mind that at this point, my event was a couple days away and I did NOT have a backup dress because I was reassured by the Mia team that my dress was on overnight shipping and that it would reach me in time. HOWEVER, the dress ended up not even being shipped and once again I reached out by email and NO ONE responded. I have sent over 14 emails and I am being ghosted by Mia. I asked for a refund and it took 4 days for their team to respond to me. Please do not order online from Mia. This company gave me so much unnecessary stress, anxiety, and frustration, and I literally felt so hopeless because no one responded to me and I had no where else to turn to. Instead of wearing my dream dress and having the option to pick between 2 dresses, I had to do last minute prom dress shopping at a bridesmaid store... Very, very unsatisfied. Will NOT shop here again. read more

I saw them on instagram, with a reputable following and placed an order. I ordered my dress online a month before the event. We even exchanged a few emails regarding the date, them explaining it will here on time. A week before the event, they cancel my order completely. Super unprofessional. No message, no note, nothing. Way to leave your customers hanging! I call one of the locations about my dress. An employee lets me know that they never even charged my card, so the order was never placed?? Makes no sense when I had the order confirmation and number. They explain about how they'll have to call me back, which they never did. They don't reply to emails or messages. So disappointing. If you're not coming in store, don't waste your time. Left me with a week to find the perfect dress and have everything tailored to my liking. read more

Ordered my dress months ago and still not shipped out. I called, was told it would be here by the middle of April, if not that, the end of April. It is now May and my prom is next week, and it is still not shipped out. After looking at reviews i realize that it's just not me who has experienced this problem. I have seen reviews where people have ordered their dress 6 months ago, and their dress still has not been shipped. Although it was an affordable and good priced dress, it's still over $200 I will never get back, just to not be able to wear my dress I wanted for my senior prom. I do not recommend ordering from this place. UPDATE: my dress was delivered! AT ADVANCED AUTO PARTS IN A DIFFERENT CITY FROM WHERE I LIVE!!! thank you mia bella!! Another update: it just keeps getting worse. finally got the dress to my house. was so excited to see it. ITS THE WRONG DRESS. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE!!! I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding a gown I purchased for my daughters formal via mail. I never received the item because the UPS truck was stolen. The company didn't put a dollar amount on the item sent so I was out $363.00 for the dress. The company should have filed the dispute with UPS; however they had me file it. It was brought to my knowledge that nobody would be reimbursed because the shipper DID NOT INSURE THE ITEM WITH A DOLLAR AMOUNT! Horrible horrible horrible customer service. Just plain awful!!! read more

Rude and incompetent employees. Limited selection. I asked a question about a dress size in stock and the woman just said you can check the sale rack and walked away. No offer to look on the computer to find the dress in the right size. The prices are ridiculous for cheap quality dresses that probably came from LA Fashion District. FYI, the "sale" rack is a bunch of ripped and pilled dresses, nothing that anyone would want to be seen in for a formal event. read more

LISTEN TO THE POOR REVIEWS!! I ignored all the negative reviews as I believe in seeing for myself. That was the biggest mistake ever. I ordered a dress (non back order) on 4/15 which I needed on 5/7. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS esp if you are shopping for BRIDAL GOWNS! STICK WITH BRIDAL BOUTIQUES! what I went through was mind boggling! I WISH I would've seen the Yelp reviews beforehand (and I usually do), but I was going solely off of social media posts! Let's just say the marketing on ig is really good, but walking into the store was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!! I don't even know where to start, but to be blunt, I've never dealt with this level of STUPIDITY in my ENTIRE LIFE. I literally felt that I lost brain cells while in this store and dealing with the sale associate. I went to see some of the dresses that they claimed they had in stock! And over the phone I told her what I was looking for and specifically asked for a certain dress to try on. When I get there they send me to the bridal area (I wish I took a picture!!!) and the amount of dresses they had was a sore sight to see. There was a lot of senseless talking and she again asked me what I was looking for (after I told her over the phone, and I just didn't want to waste my energy trying to explain AGAIN what I wanted, which I'm used to already having the dresses pulled out when I get to a store that I have to make an appointment for!) and claimed that they customize A LOT of dresses, and basically told me to imagine what I want with one of their dresses that they had in store that was NO WHERE NEAR WHAT I WANTED TO TRY ON...wth....then she tried to get me to try on a size 2 or 4 dress and I'm bigger than that!!! No common sense, and flat out STUPID. And the main dress I wanted to try on they didn't have it in ivory, but another color, which I had no issue with because I could still see how it looks on me. Come to find out the owner took the dress with him to another location as well as the majority of the A-line dresses (so the sales associate claims)! I kept it real cool in the store, but I was LIVID! A lot of red flags with talking about making custom dresses and blaming her boss, but this could've all been avoided by getting up to see if the dress was in the store or what I asked for (classic/modern dress) and giving me a call that you don't have the dress....again, common sense. Another major red flag, she stated that a custom dress or any dress I order will be in 8-10weeks or 3-4months...8 weeks is 2months...already a LIE BEING TOLD. She also took my measurements and she didn't know what the heck she was doing! The measuring tape was slanted and loose...NEVER AGAIN! She is Unknowledgeable about fashion (didn't know what classic/modern wedding dress is) and I asked do they have any dresses with a bustle and she said that all wedding dresses have them...THAT IS FALSE! MOST do not HAVE THEM when you first buy a bridal gown, that is done in alterations! Again, I didn't want to waste my energy explaining how wrong she was. BIG THING, if you see a dress online, the likelihood of them having it in this store is LOW...it might be in one of their other locations and they only have ONE SAMPLE. PLEASE! Take this review as a learning lesson and if you are coming here from ig please AVOID THIS PLACE. The sales associate I dealt with was Grace, she didn't take any accountability on her part, kept saying sorry, but didn't mean it, the lack of empathy was mind blowing. Really ruined my dress shopping experience here on out. And remember, when you're in customer service, the customer is ALWAYS RIGHT! (This phrase needs to be taught extensively to the people that work here because I don't think they will understand the REAL MEANING of this phrase, right off the bat). Again, never dealt with this level of STUPIDITY in my LIFE...go elsewhere! read more

The MOST awful customer service. I called to check the stock on a dress and was promised it could be delivered by my wear date only to be called at the last minute with a BS excuse. I went to Mia Bella for the first time in 2019 for a pageant dress & came back for my bridal gown because I had such an AMAZING experience. Every time I've been to the store, everyone was so nice and Derek is awesome! He even remembered me from when I bought my pageant dress-the color, the pageant I entered in all the way down to the alterations that had to be done. I really appreciated it! Mia Bella is the only place I wanted to shop at for my bridal gown & I knew I would find it! I was able to schedule a bridal appointment within a week and I loved how they already had some notes on what styles I'm interested in when I came to my appointment. I had a wonderful experience because Derek gave his full attention and really listened to what I liked in a gown. I could tell that he's best at what he does because his first pick ended up being THE dress. I said yes to a René dress! I apologize if I spell her name incorrectly, but Ellerie, one of the consultants helped me get in & out of dresses and she was so sweet! I can't say enough great things about Mia Bella! *will update with pictures of my bridal gown in the future! read more

Brides - DO NOT BE FOOLED! Don't purchase from here under any circumstances. My entire bridal dress experience was ruined. I could write pages on the details of what happened, but like many others that have written reviews, I was promised the sun, moon, and stars in terms of a custom wedding dress. Placed the order in January, was told it would be ready in March, I made THREE appointments to see the dress in March and all three were cancelled THE MORNING OF. The dress never arrived. Every week I was told the dress would be in next week (whenever I could actually get someone on the phone) and each week I was told lies. Owner constantly made excuses as to why he couldn't call me back and why the dress wasn't in the store. Now, so close to my wedding I was left scrambling to find another dress. ZERO stars! Do not come here unless you are a Size 2 and like to be treated in an unprofessional manner. We had a hard time finding our daughter a prom dress this year, because of COVID...but we were thrilled to happen upon Mia Bella Couture in Scottsdale. It's a family owned & runned business (even their dog and baby were in store) and they have an incredible assortment of dresses in styles & sizes. The dresses fit my daughter like a glove and my daughter even made friends with the girl in the fitting room next door...I would highly recommend you check out their San Diego or Scottsdale locations if you're in need of a special occasion dress. The young women working here have no experience with bridal gowns. The store looks and feels more like a prom dress shop than a bridal shop. Please feel free to let us know if you would like to keep this dress on pre-order or if you would like to make changes to your order. If we do not hear from you in time, your order will expire.
