This was an OK choice our family chose because it was closeby to a show we were attending. The service was good, the complimentary chips were great, and everything else was very fine. Wouldn't go out of my way to return, but wouldn't complain if someone invited me. The quesadilla was good, nothing exciting to note, and same with the steak fajita. Both were solid portion sizes of food that my mom and I chose to split.

Called in a take out order. When I arrived, I was directed to the bar to pick up my order. At the bar only a few seats were occupied. I was invited to take a seat and asked if I would like a drink while I waited. I declined, paid my tab, and moments later was given my food --earlier than they said it would be ready! Love that they are actively making tortillas where you can watch the process. I had a chicken chimichanga and cheese dip. The food was good, but the chicken was very salty. The chips were fresh and perfect. If the chicken were less salty, this would've been a 5 star experience,

A bit of everything- good portions!

This location has been here forever and is a neighborhood favorite! Very cozy place with inside and outside and a mix covered seating area outside. They have more seating at the lower level, but the ambiance isn't as nice. Paid parking at the public garage at the end of the street. My friends like to meet up here to celebrate birthdays especially and they'll bring out their big sombrero and sing to you. Service is excellent! Tex-mex food with large portions, I usually get fajitas and they come sizzling on a hot plate. The food is good, nothing special, but we usually come for the free chips and salsa! The tortilla chips are very thinly made and come out warm. Their tortillas are freshly warmed up on the machine upfront, not sure if they actually made them. Food is probably a 3.5, ambiance a 3, but service a 5!

Went out with a friend to catch up. Arrived around 4pm on a rainy Sunday. Entrance was hard to find because it's tucked away near the outdoor seating area. I ended up mistakenly going inside the next door bakery upon my initial arrival. The service was courteous and I appreciated the no-rush but no-wait feel. The timing of our server was impeccable. I appreciated his attentiveness without interrupting the flow of conversation. The food itself was delicious. I just wish I received more warm tortillas. The gratis salsa and chips were great. The carne asada fajita was delicious. I've not returned to Mi Rancho in nearly 13 years and it still tasted as good as the last time. I hope this restaurant never goes out of business.

This is my second time at this location. We got there right at 11:30 when they opened and grabbed a spot outside. The staff was attentive and our orders were brought out correctly. This was my first time trying the taco salad and it was just okay, I found the shell to be a bit greasy. This is a great go to spot to grab some quick Mexican food and a margarita.

One of my favorite places. Great restaurant that feels like a hometown favorite. Everyone eats here. They have a terrific bar, family friendly, patio seating, efficient and thorough kitchen, welcoming staff. Not too loud, comfy dining room, and clean restrooms. During the pandemic they stayed open with a makeshift to-go window service and my friends and I would give them as much business as possible, just to support them. Try their classic margaritas, the combo platters, or the ribs. (The ribs are TO DIE for) but my fave is the fish tacos.

A large "small restaurant" with plenty of space to dine in and keep socially distanced. The service is outstanding, attentiveness without over bearing friendly smiles - you can truly see how appreciative they are that you had visited. A good selection of beer both domestic and imported as well as they make a great golden margarita. One place that stands this restaurant from everybody else is that they make homemade freshly handmade tortillas! The prices have gone up thanks to COVID-19, the food is delicious, with the best beans around. They have a large selection of traditional entrees as well as great desserts.

Margarita day! In the very open back it was quieter- the front had screaming kids. The only thing happy hour was house Margarita $5.00 and cheese Dip, which was delicious. I also got quesadillas which were Very fresh, cheesy with steak. With a dollop of fresh quac and sour cream. Service was great, needed napkins, no problem and sizzling dish next to me smelled phenomenal (Fajitas) ... very authentic Tex Mex. Fresh ingredients. I'll get the grilled steak salad next time.

I'm from Texas and ate here excited because it said Tex-Mex food. I would like to say that I was also told that the enchiladas had a white and yellow cheddar cheese blend and they had American cheese which I hate so I didn't eat them. The tortillas were AMAZING which is why I gave it another star but other than that it wasn't good. The food had no flavor, the rice was hard, the beans were bad, and the food wasn't good. The tortillas were great and our server was super nice.

Really pretty interior and homie feel to the restaurant. Small but good section on the menu. Quick service and inviting staff. Not bad prices for the amount of food you get. Also it has a lot of seating if you want to have a big get together.

Chicken enchilada, chicken tamale, and taco al carbon

Came here with friends and family for dinner and thought it was okay. The interior is pretty spacious and cool, and the service was pretty great. However, the food didn't live up to the name or price unfortunately. The nachos we ordered with the refried beans were average. The chips themselves were kind of the flat. The guacamole, sour cream, and tomatoes were separated on another plate which I thought was strange. I ordered the plato maria (chicken enchilada, chicken tamale substitute, cheese chile relleno, and taco al carbon). The taco and tamale were not very good. They didn't have any flavor and just lacked that certain punch. Enchilada was pretty decent with the cheese and meat bringing joy to the meal. The relleno initially tasted off at the restaurant, but when I brought it back home and microwaved the dish, it was good. For dessert, we got the fried cheese cake which was actually great. The fried bread was hot and the filling was perfectly sweet. The flan on the other hand was a flop since it was waaaay too sweet. Definitely wouldn't get the flan again. Overall, I might come here for lunch to eat their enchilada again. Everything else really didn't warrant a response from me to try it again.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Rotten lettuce, bad service, and took forever to just order drinks. Don't come here.

Solid predicable tex mex and service. Platinos enpenadas are a must for dessert and why I gave a 4 instead of 3 star.

We ordered The Mami, their massive 54oz margarita, and wow -- it was an absolute bomb. Supersized, delicious, and unlike anything you'll find in NOVA. I had the birria tacos, and my wife had the Mexican burger -- both were outstanding. Perfectly seasoned, generous portions, and full of flavor. Our bartender Emilson was the absolute best. Great service, great personality, and he made the whole experience even better. This spot delivers on every level. We'll definitely back.

By far the worst Mexican restaurant experience we've had!…read more All of us ordered vegetarian dishes and 2 out of 3 orders were messed up: First, we ordered the cheese quesadilla with veggies and it came with chicken. Thank goodness my dad checked first otherwise he would've ate it and he would've gotten sick! Second, we ordered the veggie enchiladas (no changes, adjustments, or substitutions) and my mom took a bite and spit it right out because she noticed the texture after taking a bite and it was shrimp! I think that was absolutely absurd to get, not just one, but two orders completely wrong! We are all vegetarian and it's against our religion to have any meat or seafood and both dishes came with one or the other. I also think it's kind of ridiculous and crazy that they can't accommodate vegetarians by substituting meat for veggies/beans! However, I will say the manager was nice about it all and asked if we wanted any dessert or replacements but we refused because we just lost our appetite. Was not worth our time! We won't be coming back here! It's def NOT for vegetarians.

You order at a counter and are given a number to display at your table. Our food took only a few minutes to arrive. The server also brought over a box holding three salsas in squeeze bottles. The green salsa was pretty mild and the orange one was super hot. The dark one was, I think, chipotle. I didn't care for the chipotle. The tacos looked great and were each pretty packed with ingredients. Pollo tacos - I thought the chicken was a bit dry and, because of that, disappointing. Veggie - The veggie were filled with cooked onion, mushroom and peppers. Although they were well prepared and held a lot of veggies, there was no seasoning, so the taste was pretty flat/boring. I had to rely on adding guac and some salsa for flavor. I was hoping the veggie would have some flavor without having to rely on sauces. Al Pastor - was very good. Guacamole - comes "market price". The side we got was $3, which I think was a good value. The guac was flavorful and was a nice portion. I am glad I had it to supplement the disappointing Veggie taco and the dryness of the Pollo. The corn tortillas were good. The place is nice and comfortable.
