This is my absolute favorite mexican restaurant of all time. I am literally always craving it, it is consistently delicious and has that fresh homemade taste. My favorites are the Albondigas, Costillas de Puerco Verdes, & Tacos de Pastor. My boyfriend loves to get the Flautas de Pollo. Honestly everything we have ever tried has been so good. I've been coming here almost every weekend for years, which made this experience especially disappointing. I ordered a tamarindo water that tasted unpleasant and politely asked to exchange it for a different drink, but the request was refused. What bothers me isn't the water, it's how the situation was handled. I felt dismissed as a customer, and when I asked to speak with the manager, he wouldn't even provide his name. They didn't lose a customer over a drink. They lost a loyal customer because of their poor customer service and how they chose to handle a simple situation. read more

BAD SERVICE. Asked for a very simple burrito with Eggs, potatoes, cheese and chicken and a glass bottle of Coke made in Mexico. When asked for the drink was told it will be brought with the order. The drink came from the fountain. Wrong drink. The breakfast burrito order came in a form of eggs wrapped in a Tortilla only. When let the clerk know, the kitchen got it "fixed" by having too much of chicken stuffed in there with the cheese and the potatoes still missing. So simple yet so messed up. I wouldn't even leave any posts regarding this but I did not walk in there to spend $22 and walk out hungry. That's too messed up for a business to provide food for hungry patrons and in some cases patrons having medical issues requiring a normal meal to be consumed without any unpleasant disturbances and experiences. Will never return to this location and will not advise anyone to waste their money and health there I wish there were no such institution allowed to operate with such carelessness and ignorance for themselves and their customers. I went here for the first time this past weekend and the food was good, tastes home made. Salsas and tortillas were also tasty. Recommend!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I don't usually leave reviews, but this place earned it. The service was terrible from who seemed to be the manager. We ordered eggs over easy -- which is not exactly rocket science -- and they came out completely dry like a hard boiled egg. When we politely let the manager know, he literally argued with us about how eggs over easy are supposed to be cooked! Instead of just fixing the order, he refused to remake them and acted like we were the problem. To make matters worse, We left hungry, frustrated, and honestly amazed that a restaurant could care so little about their customers. Save yourself the trouble and go literally anywhere else. We've always ordered from here and had been wanting tacos for a bit. So we decided to order and pick up. Told the girl I wanted the taco combo and she literally said "taco combo, no verduras, algo más" I corrected her and said con cebolla y cilantro she then so "oh, entonces si quiere verdura" I confirmed said yes.. when we picked up our order went home, the meat was dry, with really no flavor, and guess what no cilantro and cebolla on my tacos or on the side. horchata was good but they really disappointed me in this last order. read more

I have been coming here for years and they've had the best menudo and you can get it with pata or nervio. But lately their nervio has been under cooked. I kindly asked about it and the manager this morning didn't care at all. He said "it is the same today". He didn't really care to check or anything. My wife and I stopped by here to pickup lunch for her family. I let my wife call in to place the order since she speaks Spanish and I never been here before. She ordered 3 tacos, sope, menudo and flautas. They said it would take about 20 minutes for the food to be ready for pickup. When we arrived to the place, we parked in the back parking lot. There not a lot of parking spots here so be aware you'll probably be better off parking on the street during the busy time. When we walked inside, they had a line and they didn't have a separate line for pickup. They have some tables inside if you want to dine at the restrauant. My wife family loved the food we got them. I tried the taco and I thought it was okay but it wasn't my favorite. My wife thought the menudo was delicious. read more

The burritos mojados always hit the spot! For the price they're a really good size & they typically end up being 2 meals for me. This time around I also tried their asada tacos. 10/10; this place has been consistent since it opened over a decade ago. It's not the most high-quality ingredients nor the most upper-scale spot, but they get the job done. You know what to expect here, and the food is as close to authentic as you're going to get for "fast-ish" food. They got las tía's and abuela-looking ladies in the back..so I think that says a lot. My family has been coming here for literally every dish on the menu now. The Aguas are good, the smoothies are good, and the burritos and tacos are our go-to's, to the point that on lazy days we each buy one; we've ordered tamales here on holidays and often purchase a large pot of menudo (we bring our pot from home) for quiet Sunday mornings or when la cruda hits after parties/going out. I have vivid memories of going here after long, long work and study college days. Their burritos have probably gotten me through a lot in life, lol. When visiting family while in town, I can't leave LA without having at least a burrito for the road for nostalgic purposes. It's gotten to the point that I look forward to my Mi Pueblito burrito when in town, haha. As I mentioned, it's not the most amazing quality but eons above a faux Mexican fast food chain, and their location is convenient; they have pretty long hours, especially for my late-night needs, and they're fast. You can also call ahead, which is what we started doing because they get so busy now, this place is a neighborhood hot spot, so I'd recommend you call in your order if possible. The wait tends to be 30 minutes at maximum unless you're buying a ton of food in volume or it's a special item order like tamales or menudo, etc...I don't know about the food delivery situation since we've only grabbed food and eaten it at the family home/car drive, or have on like 2 or 3 occasions over the years, dined in. They accept major credit cards and cash and tend to have a line during busy days like the weekend or dinner time during the week. Daytime traffic tends to be low, but you have to consider that they may run slower if there's less staff during the less busy periods. The wait still usually is, at most, 30 minutes, though. The staff is friendly, and they're super efficient. If you're wondering how it works, you order at the register and wait for your food order to be called. The pricing has increased over the years significantly. I think I used to get my $10 burrito, and now it can run closer to $15+ or so; I can't remember, but there's definitely been an increase, and I imagine the prices will keep going up as this place is popular and inflation. They also provide plenty of sauces and limes for your order; make sure to grab some! The spices aren't that spicy and watered down but tasty, which is what matters anyway. read more

Ordered thru Uber Eats and we didn't receive the nachos we ordered. The picture of nachos did not show the cheese was that yellow nacho cheese which is not to my liking. Then we requested an all meat burrito and it wasn't all meat. That literally went in the trash due to it having beans in it. Their ordering site does not allow for add ons or to removal of beans, onions...etc! You can add that info at the end in a description box and hope they see it, which obviously they did not for the burrito. We asked for avocado on the flautas and got 1 tiny sliver. We'll never order from there again. I did call the restaurant and they said i could go pick up the nachos we did not receive. Cheese wasn't melted and the meat looked/tasted uncooked. Lettuce added looked brown color. My husband ordered tacos de asada and same problem uncooked meat. I guess I still have not learned not go here but it was late and I thought it would be okay to take some food home to eat. Just did not know how it would be I am not used to ordering other items here. Well I was surprised by the plate I ordered it was supposed to be 2 pork chops with rice and beans and this is what I got for my money which was to say not a lot they could have charged more if they would give more I would have been willing to pay. DO NOT ORDER !! These people only care about taking your money. They can care less about their customer. Ordered chilaquiles and asked for a simple task of putting the sauce on the side and scrambled eggs. I got my food so nasty and saugy it was really disappointing. The egg wasn't even how I asked PLUS IT WAS RAW !! Not even cooked. I talked to someone to get it resolved and they said they didn't care that they weren't making another one and they were busy. Like I said THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT TAKING YOUR MONEY. There are so many other good restaurants nearby that actually do care about their customers or at least take them into consideration. I had Tacos al pastor, I've had better by far... Not bad simply not the best I've had. The hand made tortilla made up for the meat. Will come back and try something else.
