This is my favorite restaurant for Mexican dinner specials. Their burritos are gigantic and tasty, their fajitas are great. For tacos I'd go elsewhere because I like ordering a la carte, and here they seem to only do taco combos. read more

Tired of the typical Mexican restaurant in the Fort Wayne area? Mi Parilla is a standout from the crowded matket. Two items were exceptional at the start: the tamales (just like grandma's served in the husks) and the horchata (just right amount of cinnamon and vanilla). My family raved about the salsa as well (it really is distinctive). We had a.steak dish (viva la mexicana), the combo fajita platter (with 5 corn tortillas), steak and.cheese quesadilla that was so big it could have fed my wife and 2 daughters by itself. Portions are huge and the staff is friendly and attentive. This one is worth the drive. Fab. U. Lous tamales...worth the drive all by themselves. Over and Over again this place Rocks! From the Staff to the the best Pepsi in the entire state. The plates are huge and the flavor is amazing. I do love good quality food but this is authentic. My wife and kids love the Arroz Con Pollo but the carnitas and the barbacoa is also great. The guacamole is as fresh and amazing. Looking for good Mexican food with lots of flavor and fresh ingredients? This is the place to go. We tried Mi Parrilla for the first time Friday night. Parking lot was full but we were still seated right away. Our waiter brought baskets of chips and fresh homemade salsa to the table, and kept it coming. Our group had Chile Relleno, steak fajitas, and two different kinds of quesadillas-- all delicious. Portions were huge! We had two teenagers who loved everything but needed take-home containers, if that tells you anything about how generous the portions were. I'm from California and this is the closet food you get to experience if you not fortunate to travel to Cali. It was OK. I was rather disappointed after reading everyone else's rave reviews on this place. The salsa was good. I had the steak quesadilla and it was pretty tasty. Lots of melted cheese and the steak had good flavor and wasn't sketchy as far as gristle, fat, etc. The side of guac was really good but way too small - I got maybe like a heaping teaspoon. My husband got the burrito verde with steak. He encountered a couple of small bone fragments and the over all the flavor was very overpowering. It tasted like packet seasoning of some sort was just sprinkled in. He says that Cebolla's burrito verde blows this one away, and I'd have to agree. This was our first time here. We are visiting from Florida and met some friends here. I had the tamales, barbacoa taco and a lengua (beef tongue) taco. We also ordered the queso. Flan as and fried ice cream. My two favorite items were the tamales and the tongue taco. The tamales were awesome, with a light and moist masa and great pork filling. The tongue taco was the best I have had in a long time. The service was good and our server was friendly and checked up on us often. I would not recommend the queso it was kind of bland. So after reading reviews, my boyfriend and I figured we should give this place a try. I'm a picky eater, so I ordered the steak quesadilla; he ordered the nachos. Both were good, but many people online suggested the tacos, so we ordered two to try. They were fantastic! Next time when we come we will get the tacos for sure! Such a great restarunt environment! Loved the quality and portions. Tons of tastey food,it was hard to choose from the wonderful options. Their salsa is heavenly as well as the queso sauce to go with the tortila chips we recieved first. I ordered a chicken chimichanga that came covered in the same queso sauce we had earlier and was also acompanied by beans, rice, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream. I added guac and pico de gio to my order. It was outstanding. My hubby got a beef ranchero burito that came covered in a red sauce and melted shredded cheese. The same side dishes in my order accompanied his. He loved it! My son ordered the kids beef burito that looked like a smaller version of my husbands minus red sauce and shredded cheese, was covered in queso. He loved his too. Out of the 4 or 5 Mexican restaurants I've eaten at in Fort Wayne this was by far the best. I came with my girlfriend at an off time of day so we were the only ones in the restaurant. She had the seafood burrito and I had the enchiladas Acapulco. What struck us was the fact that these two dishes, while using essentially identical ingredients, each had a bold unique flavor. Their table salsa is also excellent, mild and with plenty of fresh cilantro mixed in. Chips were warm and fresh and didn't feel like something another restaurant might pour from a bag. By far the best Mexican food I have had in Fort Wayne. The Huaraches and Carnitas platter are both outstanding. Staff is friendly, and the restaurant is immaculate. If you want the real hot sauce, you have to ask for it; however, be forewarned that it will blow your head off. read more

This place was amazing for years. Then some reason the staff all changed and the food quality and experience took a real nose dive. My family could live on Arroz con Pollo but for some reason the meal comes with no cheese sauce any longer. I am amazed how quickly it stopped be amazing to become Blah. I stopped here tonight after seeing it from the street many times. I came a little late in the evening but was greeted by a very pleasant waitress. Chips and salsa came out without hesitation. I could not believe how awesome they were. I learned from the waitress that they make them in house. Very fresh ingredients I noticed. I was a little in a hurry so chose the three enchiladas with beans and rice. I could not believe the size of the meal she brought me. The beans themselves were worth it.
