I took a quick look at the Yelp reviews and decided to order carry out for lunch. I ordered a chimichanga with tofu, and a side of queso blanco. It isn't often that I see tofu on the menu at a Mexican restaurant so I was curious about it. It was excellent! The queso blanco was smooth and creamy with great flavor. The rice was flavorful but the beans were very salty. There are many vegetarian options here, more than most Mexican restaurants. The patio is large and beautiful. There were many people taking advantage of this warm and sunny early spring afternoon dining on the patio. The patio features approximately 20 tables, including several larger tables. Although I took my order to go this time I will plan to return with a group of friends to enjoy dining on the patio.

I actually think it's the decor that gives off that vibe. The decor is more toned down and doesn't incorporate all the bright colors you normally see at a Mexican cantina. There were four of us and we were sat promptly. Our waitress was quick to greet us and take our drink orders. She was friendly and made small talk while she served us. Now on to the food- the menu had a lot of different items that you don't see on the typical Mexican restaurant menu. I wanted to try them all but settled on the Barria tacos. They are good but they are greasy ( they are supposed to be tha way). You get three of them and the come with broth for dipping and hot sauce. I only finished 1 and a half because I had quite a few of the complimentary chips and salsa and the tacos were stuffed with alot of meat. My nephew got the same thing I got, they are his favorite. My husband got the chicken Souza enchiladas. I forgot to try some but he enjoyed them. He ate half of his whole meal and took the rest home. My niece got the Barria quesadilla, I think I would recommend getting these over the Barria tacos because they were easier to eat and didn't fall apart slightly when you handle them. We will definitely dine here again.

Our waitress served us immediately with water and chips with salsa. It's my favorite kind, smooth and not too spicy. We ordered a fancy drink my friend saw on Facebook--and I'm glad we did. They were delicious as well as generously sized. I loved the fresh orange and lime garnish with a tajin rim. I ordered the steak fajitas. SO GOOD. They arrived sizzling, with a large plate of sides and toppings. 10/10 The dining room is large, and there is a small side room that would work well for a family party. There's also a bar area with TVs. At lunchtime, there was a mix of families and the work crowd. Check out the menu for lunch specials. The parking lot is ample, and the light at the intersection to get back onto Washington Center makes it easy.

As an avid lover of Mexican food, my boyfriend has been searching high and low for a place that he can frequent for a good meal. After trying a few other places, we decided to try Mi Parrilla on a whim after a long day at the local zoo. We walked into a lively interior, with ample seating and comfortable booths. Our waitress was friendly and prompt with checking on us before and after we ordered, and we were quickly settled in while waiting for our meals. I haven't had a lot of experience with Mexican cuisine, but I love birria and wanted to try that here; as for my boyfriend, he got a chimichanga. We were immediately impressed at the portion sizes when the food came out - everything looked amazing! And honestly, these are the best I've had so far. They were crisp, filled with meat and cheese, and so flavorful. My partner was also very satisfied with his food, saying that this would probably become his favorite spot in town. We'll definitely come back to try more of their enormous menu!

This is easily one of the top Mexican joints in all of Fort Wayne. It's a huge restaurant that was surprisingly dead for lunch, granted it was a Monday. It's a nicely decorated place, the service was friendly and really fast (food was out in less than 10 minutes), and the food was simply awesome. Their chips and salsa are outstanding... I could literally drink the salsa. You get a ton of food for the lunch portion (way too much to eat in one setting), so I can only imagine the size of their dinner portions. $30 for lunch (2 people) is a steal in today's restaurant price-gouging times. CDM might be our new "go to" Mexican joint, and it's certainly our favorite on the NE side of town.

Wow, very nice and also delicious. Their menu is amazing. Wide array of Mexican seafood dishes. They also have some non seafood options if needed. But when you see a seafood heavy menu at a restaurant, you *really* should get it. I focused on their new menu of shrimp dishes. They included head-on shrimp, in the shells. I wasn't sure I wanted to work for my meal and get messy. But damn, that Camarones al Cilantro (shrimp with cilantro) looked fantastic. I hemmed and hawed and decided I would order it along with some guacamole to get some vegetable material in me. When it came it was piping hot. Couldn't eat it, so focused on the guac for a bit. As the shrimp cooled I went to town on what may have been the messiest meal of my life. (Do NOT order unpeeled shrimp if you are on a first date or a job interview) Let me tell you - these shrimp were unbelievable. They were swimming in sauce and as I peeled them, i then dipped and chowed. The cilantro/chili/garlic? sauce was off the charts good. The onions and cucumber buried within it were also a nice discovery as I made my way through this mountain of a full pound of shrimp. It took a while and the sauce dripped down to my elbows at times. It was a caveman eating experience and it was probably the best Mexican dish I have ever eaten. It was probably a good thing I was eating alone. I don't see any other way to eat this unless you're a psychopath crunching through shrimp shells. But leaving those shells on keeps the shrimp moist as they cook and more importantly it keeps the shrimp flavor from cooking off into the sauce. Shrimp with the shell on do taste better - they are not just being lazy here. This meal was great and I would love to go back if I'm driving through again. Thank you for this!
