Been here many times for happy hour with my work group. Decided to come here with the family 2 weeks ago for a weekend luncheon. Had my typical, which is beef chimichanga. Family had fajita and something else. For starters, We ordered the cheese dip. Thought it was a bit runny and not as cheesy. They are known for their freshly made quac, but we didn't get it this time. Love the constant servicing of filling our iced water and refill on chips. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. I am vegetarian and love that they have good options. I really enjoy there bean burrito with tomatillo sauce on it. I also enjoy the quesadilla huitlacoche. The house salsa is awesome and spicy. I appreciate that the food has some kick. The refried beans do not have lard and the rice is not made with chicken stock. Service here is usually very attentive. The ambiance is excellent. I love both the patio and the indoor seating. read more

"American Mexican" food is typically over cooked, lacking fresh ingredients and not something I associate with having many if any healthy options beyond a ceviche. Not here! Not only did the food rival the best local restaurants in Puerto Morales, Quintana Roo, but the staff was fantastic as well! Don't let the "no reservations for less than 5" scare you. Staff is on their game and tables keep turning and yet, at no point will you feel rushed. Table side guacamole is well worth it and they have a great selection of tequilas for every budget. And, plenty of healthy options for those who don't want to feel like they ate a 9lbs burrito. Just go here, you'll be glad you do. Pro tip: sneak over to the Italian/pizza place (Fireside pies) next door for dessert - I know how that sounds, just trust me. We hadn't been here in years but definitely enjoyed our meal this Friday night. We arrived at 7:30 and surprisingly there was no wait. Hector, our server, was attentive and helpful. We enjoyed his service. For our appetizer we devoured a delicious not-so-tableside mild guacamole (without bacon) it was the best guacamole I've had. We even used it with our entrees because of the robust flavor. Our main course included Sante Fe Hatch Tacos on blue corn tortilla with black beans and rice. These were so tasty and even better with the beans and guacamole. The enchiladas were light and delicious with shrimp and yummy sauce. The drinks were okay... I wanted a mocktail but it was very watered down and bland infused with mango. (Note to self- I just won't order that again) But my husband enjoyed his primavera drink thoroughly! I'm not going to lie, I saw a smoking cocktail on FB, and told the wife I had to go here! I'm glad I did. We walked in on a Covid Wednesday night, and it was packed. We had to wait, and the bar was full. There was a line out the door. Normally I would leave, make a reservation and come back, but I was in the mood to wait, and I'm glad I did. The wait was not too bad, and we were quickly seated. This speaks to their efficiency. Our waiter was one of the very best in the metroplex, and the food was incredible. You'll typically find us at the bar enjoying the house margaritas but with patron tequila instead of the house sauza. Jose at the bar is good but Jessica is better. However if you ask Jose he will tell you he trained Jessica the food here is like crack especially the bacon guacamole and the bacon wrapped shrimp. Came here for an early dinner on a Saturday after spending the afternoon at the Sealife Aquarium. I was going to go somewhere else, but this place popped up and it had better reviews with the same price point, so why not! The place is really open and there's lot of light due to the numerous amount of windows that look out onto the patio. There's a bunch of seating areas so it's good for large and small groups. Almost everyone had the table guacamole and so we had that to start off with also. It was really good and I think it was due to all of the bacon goodness. We weren't too hungry so we decided to have some appetizers as our meals. We ordered the traditional street tacos, the steak fajitas, and the chipotle bacon quesadillas which were pretty large portions and super yummy. While the food wasn't super special, then again all tex mex tastes the same to me, I have to say it wasn't bad. Since I'm not from the area I don't know if I'd come back again just because it's far from my house. However, I'd recommend it to other people who do come across Grapevine. read more

Since Covid we have coming and getting the Fajita to go family meal for 4. It is such a great value and lots of food! It's a complete meal with chips, salsa, quac, beans, rice. tortillas, and the fajita meat of your choice !! So easy to bring it home and have everything we need for a great dinner out without all the work :) . There is only 2 of us so enjoy the family 4 meal at least twice! (There is not a 2 era on option) We decided to get the family meal for 6 and had our family over and it seemed like we actually still got the same amount of food :/. It seemed like we didn't get anymore meet then when we ordered the family meal for 4? There was more 2 more Sopapilla's obviously but everything else seemed almost the same. My wife found this place when we were looking for a new place to try. It is worth a try if you like a place with a nice atmosphere, decent service and pretty darn good food. You get chips and salsa at the start. The salsa is a spicy red salsa with a little tomatillo salsa in it. We ordered the chili con queso (a bowl). It was $8.50. Pretty good stuff. I had the Xmas burrito at $17. I had it with fajita chicken. I've really wanted one of these since I saw one on DDD at another restaurant. The New Mexico red sauce is more of a mole to me. It had a nice robust flavor. The green sauce was just a tomatillo sauce. Maybe that's the way they were supposed to be, I'm not sure. It was real good either way. The burrito is huge. I couldn't even eat it all. It has your choice of meat with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and cheese. My wife had the pick two with a chicken and sour cream enchilada and a tamale. $14.50. It's served with rice and beans. She said it was spicy and the sour cream sauce was just cheese and sour cream together. We've had way better chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce so I would probably skip this one. The tamale was filled full of chicken and was good she said. My daughter had a bowl of Tortilla Soup. $7.00. She said it was spicy too. It looked really good though. The atmosphere was great. The place is designed very well with patio dining and misters to help with the heat. They have a bar and it looked pretty busy. It's a trendy place and is right next to Bobs Steak and Chop House. The staff was attentive and the management checked on us several times. I thoroughly enjoyed this place and will go back for sure. read more
