Get the ginger garlic chicken! It is so good that I will never find out about anything else on the menu. The restaurant is always clean and is nicer inside than most. Service is fast and friendly too. I have gone there with other people who ordered other items on the menu and they were happy too. I drive 12 miles to eat there, so I don't know about delivery. I'm a big fan of Mi Chong's. They have the food allergen thing down, they offer gluten free, no MSG, vegetarian, and other healthy options. There is no greasy residue left behind on your plate. The house special sesame tofu is really good. read more

I won't comment on the food because it was cold by the time we ate it. We got take out when staying ay a hotel a few miles away. We asked if there were utensils in the bag and told were told yes. Got back, no utensils, and restaurant refused to rectify the problem. read more

I look how the inside looks! Very tranquil and clean! I LOVE fortune cookies! I was so happy to see the self-serve packets of those cookies on the counter! The food I ordered from here were great! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE I placed an online order with them almost 2 hours ago. So, I called the restaurant to see why I had such a lengthy wait time. They had told me that - despite my money being taken from my account - they had not received my order and do not deliver to my area. When I asked for a refund, they told me to "call the company" repeatedly. Meanwhile, this "company" does not have any contact information anywhere. These people are thieves. BAD BAD BAD. Very bland food. Moved to Bethlehem over a year ago and have to say, up there with the worst Chinese food I've had. Wonton soup was milky, with no flavor. Chicken and broccoli was spicy, which would have been okay without the bad aftertaste. Asian Bistro is across the street and Reunion is also close. Go with them over this place anytime. read more

What happened to this place? When I moved here six years ago this was some of the best Chinese I've ever had, and coming from Long Island, I was a Chinese connoiseur. Every night, the line was *literally* out the door and it could take an hour to get your order, it was so busy. I went this past Friday and I was the only guy in the place. That tells you everything you need to know. Now it's just run of the mill. I ordered the twice cooked pork and asked for spicy -- it was bland with no spice at all. Fried rice? Bland. Everything is just very average. While it's not as good as Mi Chong was in its heyday, try Eastern on Main Street in Northampton. Not as centrally located as Mi Chong I guess but the food is better for sure. EDIT: Just went back cuz my regular place was closed, it still sucks. Fried rice was barely fried and the only ingredient (other than the chicken I asked for) was onion. No peas, no carrots, no egg, no bean sprouts, no waterchestnuts -- just onion. read more

Exactly what I love about Chinese Take-Out! Very fast at making my phone-in lunch orders, very friendly counter guy, very simple and easy to understand menu with lot of options, *food cooked to perfection (not overdone and not underdone)* and most of all, LOTS OF VEGETARIAN FOOD! They have added the vegetarian faux meat products in the general tso and sesame meals, etc. I haven't tried the way they make it, as I either get mixed vegetables or mixed veg with bean curd. Perfect everytime! They do all the basics very well. Our go to Chinese place even though there's another place right in town. We always order egg rolls, wonton soup, fried wonton, house special lo mein, general tsaos chicken, chicken and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken and teriyaki chicken on a stick. All delicious. We have been going here for a long time now, and the food is always good, but the delivery drivers are pushy lately and the last time they came, after handing my 13 year old son the bag, before we even got the money out he asked MY SON if he wanted to add a tip and continued to tell him how far he traveled (10 minutes) and that he deserved a good tip. I always tip well, but I do not like that he can say that to a kid, with me standing next to him. That is why I docked 2 stars. read more

I don't know what happened to this place. In 2005 it was the best Chinese food I've ever had, and I've eaten Chinese once a week for the last 12 years. But they changed management or chefs or something in late 2007 and it is nowhere as good as it used to be. It's now just average, hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant food. I try it again once every few month to see if the old staff has returned or the food has improved and each time is a disappointment. Last night was no better. And here's how you can tell its not the same: In 2005, 2006 and early 2007 on a typical Friday night at dinnertime, the wait for you order would be 45 minutes (sometimes more) and the line at the register would be ten people deep. Last night, my order was ready in 15 minutes and only one other group in the place; no diners seated at the tables; the manager (or owner) sitting in a booth casually reading a Chinese newspaper. The food is worse, the crowds have left. A real shame. Try Eastern Chinese on Main Street in Northampton. While not as good as Mi Chong was way back when, still the best Chinese in the area. read more

I'm half Chinese, so I know what real Chinese taste like and of course when you do take out its very American, but there are some places better than others. However, I don't not recommend this restaurant. The food is pretty tasteless and their chicken is always mushy and their rice is always dry. Also, I find it weird that their fried rice is yellow. This is the only place I order Chinese from. I live locally and there are other Chinese places around, but I drive an extra 20 minutes to go to Mi Chongs specifically. I am not sure why there are a few people who did not like this place. I almost feel like they must be reviewing another place or else they were there on a very off day. Eating in IS kind of a weird experience. There are rarely people filling the place up at lunch so its spacious and you get to enjoy the decor. For takeout, their general tsos chicken is good. It could be spicier but I'm fine with a more mild kick. I always get the crab rangoons. Great filling and could be a meal by themselves. I'd say it's a good meal for your buck. read more

We ended up here last night because the original place we wanted to go to was closed. First off, the gentlemen behind the counter was rude and standoffish. He needs to work on his customer service skills. We order to eat there. Everything came out in plastic take out containers or styrofoam plates. The food was no better than a crappy buffet and it was expensive. I would not go back here. Some people must like it enough, because they were rather busy with take out. Maybe they do not know any better as far as the quality of food let alone the service. read more

Not bad, but not one you would go out of the way for. The Kung Poa Chicken was not very spicy, kind of bland. The General Tso's tasted good, but didn't have the normal taste. The egg rolls were a little greasy, but overall good. The crab ragoons filling was good, but the outside was a little greasy. Wonton soup was good. If you're ordering in your room and don't want to go out, for convenience I'd recommend them. If you are going out somewhere, you can probably find better to eat. read more

I have been a very satisfied delivery customer for a number of years but no longer. A few weeks ago, I ordered my usual on a Friday night. To my surprise, the order was delivered by a former student (all deliveries in the past were made by an adult). We exchanged greetings, he received a tip in excess of 25%... all very nice, right? Wrong. Within three days, my house was vandalized. Clearly, my personal data had been shared. After attempting to speak to a manager for weeks, who was never there, no matter what day of the week I called (really?), I finally succeeded in speaking to someone who declined to identify himself. There was no apology, only the repeated refrain advising me that the unnamed speaker tells the drivers not to share personal data, so he was pretty certain that the driver in this case had not done so. I have a fairly hefty power-washing bill that says otherwise. AVOID DELIVERY FROM THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS. YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS NOT SAFE! read more
