My new International MV truck had issues on my way cross country bringing it home. Mccandless…read moredropped everything spent several hours getting it diagnosed. worked with International directly to get a back ordered part there quickly and it back on the road. Took care of several updates as well. Things break new or used. international and McCandless in Cheyenne did everything possible to get the problem resolved as fast as possible, staff was happy to help. Thanks.

This might be a long post but let me tell you the difference in customer service…read more McCandless Truck Center had my truck for 5 days, two of which is was guarantueed to be in the shop. After 5 days they then decide to tell me it will be $3200 to drop and inspect the transmission. They've known what it was going in for, they never kept any contact with me about cost, they told me it would be two hours charge to diag and they never contacted me about not getting the truck in the shop on the days promised I had to call to find out. No apologies were made, no effort was given. When they failed to produce a quote for a transmission replacement after 4 hours, I sent my driver to pickup the truck. They did nothing, offered no apology, charged me $500 and we went on our way. Called a friendly shop in Assumption IL, small farm town. CB Enterprises. They don't have a FB page but they did great work on my other truck. They said they would change my transmission for $4600, including parts and clutch assembly. (Now remember McCandless wanted $3200 just to inspect the transmission) they would have the parts on Monday, and transmission replaced with truck ready to go on Wednesday. Two days. With only one day notice and on a Friday. Shot my driver over to IL and they are already taking the truck apart to replace it, they even let my driver borrow one of their company trucks so he could use it to go to the hotel in a neighboring city so he use it for the days he's there. Customer service does matter. Especially in this industry. If my trucks ever have issues in their area and even if I'm clear across the country I will send my trucks to this shop. I really hoped since my company was moving to Cheyenne we could work a great business relationship but I guess that's not the case and this dealership is like every other. Crooks. EDIT in response to stores reply. The truck still did not get in until the following day after they talked, also no price was discussed for the transmission inspection. I was told it was a minimum of two hours but over 4 days no one told me the price would be $3200 just to inspect it. They waited until the 5th day. Also. The manager was decent to talk to on the phone but the lady at the counter was rude and didn't care at all about what was going on, all my employees on two separate occasions complained about the front desk lady. And none of the employees have talked to each other so they all had real experiences. What's done is done, my transmission was replaced in one day by the shop in Illinois and they treated my driver like a King there. I'll make sure none of my business goes here and I will take away every bit of business I can from you guys.

Sold me a car that he swore was a simple get the check engine light off, new gas gauge, and a new radio....thats it. $3400 I paid for the Malibu. My mechanic laughed and said not worth more than $500. I invested $1700 to keep it running, only to find out it needs a new transmission (5k, and not a single mechanic in town will touch it.) Radio was a simple fuse. But honestly, I hope Mike sees this, even after your business shut down, I hope you feel proud about screwing a mother of 3, whose car was totaled because someone rear ended me, and knowing all this, you still chose to lie and screw me and my family. But hey at least we got 2 free bowl cozy's out of it

He also claimed he would help out if repairs were a lot more. Sounded like a really nice honest guy. Pushed me into buying that day, started the process without much agreement of my end. Just to find out a day later when i took it to a reputable mechanic that im looking at 6k+ in repairs just for it to be functional and likely to make a cross country trip. I called to talk to Mike and ask for assistance and let him know how I'd been wronged. Zero sympathy, zero assistance. Talked down to me, gave me a half assed apology for the way i was feeling, no for his actions. I will steer all those who ask about buying cars away from his shop. -one very broke unhappy customer who will never return to this business
