    Precision Dent Repair

Wow where do I start? I met Chris back in 2009 ish, it could be earlier. One day I was at the…read moreRichmond auto mall having my car serviced and noticed a guy working on a dent in a lot near by. I asked if he can work on my car. He's done my Honda Civic Sir and Accord v6 coupe. Since then I've owned a few more cars and I've been lucky I haven't received any dings. Until now. Fast forward to 2025. I own a 2019 black Rav4 Trail now. All my previous cars were black as well. If anyone is an owner of a black car, they know very well that you can see a lot of imperfections easily and your contact washes have to be very delicate. I am the kinda ocd car guy growing up. Yes, that kinda guy who would wash his car in the rain if a bird landed multiple bombs on the paint. I've kept Chris's number and this man has been consistently busy. He booked me a week in advance after I sent him the photos of the damage. Some international student on an electric scooter was riding careless and nicked/dent my parked car ‍. Chris is a real friendly guy. He's straight up and honest. His quotes are very reasonable. Obviously the prices are not like before. It's been almost 20 years. But what I can say is I rather support a local business than a corporate entity at this point. I didn't want a record of claim on the vehicle. The option of dent repair makes more sense. I basically dropped off my car by 11am and got a call back by 1:50pm. There's no way you can get your car back on the same day with icbc. On the same day before date night, on a Friday afternoon. I was extremely surprised Chris raised the bar and fixed the paint as well. I wasn't expecting the paint to be fixed. The results looked like the damage never happened. I was so impressed with his standards being so high. Amazing craftsmanship. If you can relate with growing up in poverty , you learn about how to take care of things that you own in life. Maintain your property, vehicles, watches, sneakers, suits, anything you appreciate. It's gut wrenching when you're always so careful then all of a sudden you get dinged and it's by others. Very mentally frustrating. When I picked up my car I was so happy. Now keep in mind I haven't washed my car in 2 weeks because of all the rain storms we received. That damaged area looked practically brand new. Chris made it happen. But it wasn't over. If I wanted to really see his craft I needed to do a contact wash. I took the car home. Did a wash. As expected Chris's work is legit as usual. I took pics and videos on different positions for you to view. It's clean work. All I had to do was apply a Si-o2 protection spray for now to match the hydrophobic beading with the ceramic coated car. I was due for an overhaul ceramic renewal this coming summer anyhow. Chris. You're a great person to do business with. Thank you so much as usual. I appreciate your craft. I wish you well and I wish you many happy moments. Since the time back at the auto mall I've always given your contact number out to friends and family. They all have been so impressed as well. This world needs more people like Chris. Until the next door ding. Take care of yourself old friend. Cheers Eddy

Chris from Precision in Richmond was recommended by a a company I was dealing with on an unrelated issue. I will say I have seen perfectionists but Chris is beyond meticulous and a solid guy as well. They were clear and kind, set expectations on what their services would be, shared the estimated costs in advance, and stayed in touch with us every step of the way. They cleaned all 3 of our rescued food trucks inside and out, they even detailed the boxes and we are so proud of the work they did! Our drivers are so happy with how clean the trucks are!!! We will be back! Thanks again team! :)

The interior clean was also good. They basically wiped down all the surfaces, and vacuumed with a shop vac (i saw them do it). Its not a detailing job, so dont expect a showroom type clean. Its more like a good car wash and interior vacuum at home. For the price, its fine. Better than a drive through wash and self-vacuum for sure, and not a lot more cost. Takes about half hour. The guy I dealt with was friendly and got the job done. If I had to criticize something, its the actual facility and Im taking a star off for that. The car wash lane/tunnel is basically a covered driveway. They wash your car there, then drag a shop vac around to vacuum it. It doesnt have the modern professional car wash appearance with built-in vacuums, neon lights and nice decor. Their waiting room/front office is like a run-down trailer park home of a hoarder. Lots of clutter, messy, dilapidated. They also sell used cars from that office, so there were used car customers there too. Its a really weird juxtaposition with luxury vehicles (for sale) parked in front of this run down building situated in a lot that reminds you of a scrap yard.

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE I may have been expecting too much, but…read morefor a hand car wash, a surprising amount was missed on the outside of my car...and the $5 super/quick shine is not evident or worth it. But if you want to avoid machines and are looking for someone to hand wash your car, this would be the place to go, given the limited options in Richmond! === 2. PRODUCT Full-sized Car Wash ($36) includes: - Pressure washer rinse. - Hand scrub of your wheel rims. - Hand wash and rinse of your car. [Exit the car] - Vacuum of the car's interior. - Hand dry of the car's exterior and door jambs. [Return to the car] It was good, but they did seem to miss a number of spots on the back (around the car logos and license plate) as well as on the rims, despite the hand-oriented wash method. I also paid $5 for the super quick shine - supposedly a spray on shine, but either they didn't put it on or I could not tell it was on when they finished drying my black car. === 3. SERVICE Service was pleasant and polite in English and Japanese. Speed was quite reasonable given the process and a small wait with other cars in front - about 25 minutes total. === 4. ENVIRONMENT Getting and getting through the drive-thru nature of the business can seem cramped, likely for those with larger SUVs. A small but pleasant waiting room is available during the vacuum and hand dry portions of the car wash process. Those in a wheelchair or with a baby would likely have a challenge with the latter half of the wash process.

Whoever was washing…read moremy car left huge scratches on the back bumper that looked like someone had taken sand paper to it. There were multiple small scratches around the rest of the car as well as well as swirl marks. I could have gotten a better wash at a gas station! If you value your car DO NOT go here. I didn't notice until I got home since they hurried me out of the establishment after my car had been done as they work in an assembly-line fashion. I spoke to the owner about it and he denied all responsibility and said it was literally IMPOSSIBLE that his staff could've done any of this and treated me like a joke. I showed him over 10 other reviews of people saying they had their vehicles damaged and he said this exactly "Why are you showing me this? Should I care?" Absolute joke of a human being. People work very hard for their vehicles and property and when you damage it, you should at least be apologetic let alone responsible.

VERDICT/VALUE It's definitely not perfect, but if…read moreyou're looking for a chance to get a half-decent car wash in Richmond while avoiding brushes/rollers on your car, the ineffective touchless washes, and full-on detailing, then this could be the place for you! === 2. THE CLEAN You have your choice of "exterior wash" or a "full wash". Here's the process: - Spray of wheels and lower sections of your car with some sort of liquid that presumably loosens dirt. - Rinse with a handheld power washer. - Rubdown with a soaped-up janitor's floor mop and a handheld sponge(?). - Rinse again with the handheld power washer. If you opt for the "full wash", you add: - Power-spraying of your floor mats. - Vacuum of the interior. - Wipe-down of surfaces and windows. It's not perfect - there are a few dirty spots (including side mirrors) that are done too quickly so the dirt streaks remained. But overall, it was fast a decent, particularly in cold weather. === 3. SERVICE It's relatively quick, polite/professional enough and in English. The staff speak Mandarin with each other so I presume those who prefer that language would be well-served also. See the attached pic for the prices; you are asked if you would like to tip 12%, 15%, etc. upon debit/credit card payment. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's an older-looking facility, but you essentially drive through a brightly-lit garage for the exterior wash. There are a couple of waiting areas: one in the office and one in the garage on a couch. The interior cleaning portion occurs under a white tent at the end of the garage. You may find yourself waiting outside (next to another business next door, a car service garage), but overall, unless it's raining or windy outside, it's relatively comfortable.
