I've been here in the past when I visit my brother and was very happy then. Yesterday I was in the area and was excited to get food from them. Idk why my experience changed, I ordered chicken mole, burrito and 6 beef patties. My daughter's chicken burrito had a spoiled chicken taste to it, the rice was hard like old rice so was my mole's rice & chicken did have off taste. They were nice enough to remake it after I telephoned them. However, my daughter was reluctant to have the same thing due to flavor and quality. When she picked it up and came outside she had a face about to cry. She said the man yelled at her and gave her an attitude. My thing is we are giving you feedback to fix the issue, we aRe giving you our business why can't you accommodate the customer. Idk if I will be going back especially when my daughter was yelled at & ultimately the burrito was tossed because I can't blame her for not wanting to eat the same thing. I didn't go in because I didn't have my mask. This could have been a better experience hence better review if they would have replaced it with chicken & French fries as she had wanted. If you are looking for authentic and delicious Mexican food you have to try this hidden gem. The food is fresh and the portions are plentiful. They have a lot of options for you to choose from and the prices are reasonable. Yesterday I ate at the restaurant for the first time and it was wonderful. The outside area is in the rear of the building and is cozy yet well spaced to accommodate social distancing. All of the staff were compliant with COVID regulations and had masks on at all times. My sister drove all the way down from Long Branch because she loves this place so much. She told the waiter that she would have driven even farther if she had to because they make "the best tamales" she has ever eaten! He was so appreciative of our kind words and praise he actually brought out a free dessert for the table. It was so unexpected and of course delicious. My only negative is that the outside tables are in a very small area with only a handful of tables. I did not go at a super busy time so luckily I had no wait. but I would definitely be prepared to wait for a table if you go when it's busy. Even so, it is worth the wait. I recommend the tostadas- they are my go to order and I always have enough to take some home for another meal! I will definitely be back soon (and often)!! read more

Being from the West Coast, I've been looking for authentic Mexican food. Read great reviews about this place so we gave it a go. They have an adorable outdoor seating area in back which is where we ate. I ordered the Carne Asada and my husband had the combo Fajitas. I asked for a side of grilled jalapeños because I am crazy and I love my food extra hot. They made me some kind of onion jalapeño mix which was hot as hell and so delicious!! My Carne Asada was served on a sizzling plate like fajitas and my steak was sooo tender not to mention a very generous portion. My husband throughly enjoyed his fajitas. Our waiter Andrew was very friendly and very attentive. I believe Aldo is a manager or maybe owner was very sweet and kept checking on us. He found out we got married the day before and surprised us with Sopapillas!! Excellent food and service!! We will definitely be back when we're back in town!! read more

I mentioned in a separate review of a place in South Jersey that I'd "had better" Mexican food - well Mexico Lindo is the better. I have been a semi-regular of this place since 2010 and it's my Mt. Everest of Mexican Food, and it's on my Mt. Rushmore of knee-jerk places when the wife or kids say, "Wanna go out to eat tonight?" I am good friends with the owners, but who isn't! A couple of RED FLAGS that you need to keep in mind. Look at my reviews. I don't often post a low star review. YES, this is the same place that moved from 1135 Burnt Tavern Rd Brick, NJ 08724. I called ahead and asked what time they close. The lady said 10PM. I get there at 8:45... and the chairs where on the tables already. Ummm Ok. I figured it was just a flinging decision to close because it was a slow day... but not good considering you just opened. Problem #2! They want $5.00 for a SIDE of Mole sauce. As in a little tiny size of sauce [like what you'd get ketchup in]. Huh? Seriously? [see my picture with a burrito and side of mole] Problem #3! The rice is soft and hard. Hard as in stale. Meaning it tasted like they mixed old and new rice together. Problem #4! The Chicken Burrito had lots of cartilage. Which I really wasn't happy about. Their Poblano Burrito is "Ok". Mostly because of their Mole Sauce. Fajitas are good too but very little meat. They make BIG Burritos. Juanitos, El Tenampa, Taqueria Madrigal... are far better than this place... the fact they there are not many Mexican restaurants in the area if why they as any positive reviews at the moment. read more

The prices are right and staff are very welcoming. You can tell a lot of passion goes into their dishes and pleasing their clientele. This is actually authentic Mexican cuisine if you're looking for it. I wish I loved it but I'm more of a Tex-Mex person. We had the burrito and tacos. Satisfying but I wish the chicken were seasoned, less dry, and there was some kind of sauce to the meat but this just boils down to personal taste most likely. I really wanted to like their horchata but it tasted like powdered candy. I have to say I really loved this place but they had one MAJOR flaw not big enough to not come back the food really makes up for it so we ill let it slide but the guacamole and chips were $13!!!! Outrageous and to be honest it was so bland not even worth it at all we had to add tons of salt and lime juice price wasnt on the menu so when i got the check I actually asked the server if it was an error because the guac and chips cost more than the HUGE burrito we got! now for the good stuff apart from that we are from north jersey and ny and all of the mexican places around are trash without a doubt this is the best we have ever had in this area all the food apart from the guac was full of flavor and decently priced the burrito was massive the amount of meat in the fajitas was massive the workers were extremely nice and they had aventura playing in the background so A plus for that we will definitely be back and recommend read more

I love this place. The prices are great and so are the portions. I've had the enchiladas with the verde and mole sauce and both were so good but I prefer the mole. I've also had the steak tacos, and al pastor tacos and both were very good. The only thing I didn't absolutely love was the salsa to be honest, but it wasn't bad just a little sweet for my tastes.
