We tried this place again after reading they're under new ownership/management. We went for lunch & although we were seated quickly, we sat for 15mins waiting for a server to come by. There were only 4 tables filled, so no clue what took so long, but there were no chips/salsa delivered & no drink orders taken during that wait either. Sadly, the food was just as bad as before. The taco shells were processed, like someone might have walked over to IGA & bought some off the shelf, not cooked in house & they were so soggy, the tacos fell apart just trying to pick them up. The shredded beef & chicken had no flavor & the shredded cheese tasted processed & did not melt like real cheese. It was just generally un-appetizing & we left disappointed. We'll spend $40+ for lunch somewhere else from now on. read more

Lovely decor and good music. Not crazy loud. Traditional and romantic ballads. A good ambiance. Friendly staff and freshly made food. The chips and salsa were fresh. Horchata ( traditional rice drink) was really good not super sweet like other places. We got the Acapulco Enchiladas and El molcajete jalico. read more

Terrible Service, rude staff. We decided to come eat dinner here because it was the closest Mexican restaurant that was open for dine in. One male waiter seated two party's that arrived after my party before we were seated which resulted in us waiting 20 minutes in the lobby I even tried to get his attention and tell him this but was blatantly ignored. The food and drinks were subpar, I ordered a chicken enchilada with a margarita. Chicken and enchilada was dry and the margarita was much more sour than it should've been. Food was overpriced especially for the small portions they give you. Take your money somewhere else like los dos or los tequilas where you get good service from friendly staff and get the quality of food you pay which is much cheaper than this terrible place. read more

This place use to give excellent service and the food was decent. However the last two times I have gone there the service was not good at all. They brought my food out and never came to see how I liked it. My water glass was empty when he brought my food out and didn't offer to fill it and walked away to quickly for me to ask, so I set it on the edge of the table and it never got filled. He brought my bill fairly quickly but I had to get up and find him to ask for more water and a to go box. The main course was decent but I ordered a small side salad for before and it was literally a small plate of only lettuce that cost $3.75 after 2 times of bad service I probably won't go back. read more

Can't say much about service other than that due to COVID19 and only being able to order takeout. THE WORST MEXICAN FOOD DINING EXPERIENCE! I've given this location a second try now and both times it's failed miserably in every regard! Service=FAIL, Food Quality=FAIL, Portion to Price=FAIL...and the list goes on. A 1 star rating was a no brainer and not by any means a difficult decision to make. Mexican restaurants are plentiful and fiercely competitive and I'm likely more confused than the owner and cook staff of this restaurant as to how this place has managed to stay open operating at the sub par levels it does. I'm happy to give credit where credit is due, yet there's nothing to give! Both occasions that I've been here, the food has been ridiculously lack luster, flavorless, dry and the only traditional Mexican flare it has to offer is the "hot plate" they serve it on! Look at the pictures I've attached...those are what they claim are the "grilled chicken breasts", which are cut so thin that light is literally transparent. What the restaurant owner is doing here is seemingly clear and an unfortunate attempt to stretch a dollar. I kid you not, one chicken breast is cut down to wafer thin slices and what SHOULD be a standard serving size portion chicken breast the patron is expecting, is no longer and instead now what the patron gets is CHEATED! Then there was my side chicken taco I had ordered...allow me to describe it for you in detail...take a handful of saw dust, add one chicken flavored bullion cube and mix well, then place in greasy soggy folded tortilla, add cheese particle and serve!!! THE WORST MEXICAN FOOD EVER! Needless to say, we had two people in our group who were left to watch everyone else eat there meals because they're meals were clearly forgotten! However, now that I look back...they were the lucky ones allowed to prolong the misery and disappointment of having to eat the substandard food this location serves. Save yourself the time, money and regret and drive an extra 5 minutes over the bridge back into town and find one of many other quality Mexican restaurants!!!! read more

I would have to say my least favorite Mexican restaurant to eat at, actually the only time I eat here is when I attend with someone who wants to give the place a try. I rate my review on the only Mexican dish I eat at every Mexican restaurant, Shrimp wrapped in bacon. Doesn't seem like it would be a difficult dinner to make but leave it to Mexico Lindo and... wait...wait....because that's what you will be doing then, FAIL! Just see the attached picture, Is this Shrimp salad shrimp wrapped in paper thin bacon? I would recommend this place if you are a vegetarian, you could probably eat the entire meal and not notice there was meat on the plate. I was going to give it a 1 star rating but bumped it up to two, the bartender actually mixes a good drink. Next time you in North Albany and want your money's worth stop in across the street from this place, grab a sub sandwich and save some cash. read more

My husband and I went to this restaurant, after hearing good reviews from our friends. We walked in the front door and were met by a man with a cell phone to his ear. He never took the phone from his ear, all the way to the outside patio. He gave us menus, with the cell phone to his ear and talking steadily on the phone, not to us. The food came. "Our waiter was obviously somewhere else. He was certainly not present at the restaurant." This last statement, I have read from another reviewer... hmmmm. Food ok, nothing special. I really wanted to like this place because it's close to home, but... It's. Just. Terrible. The enchiladas, beans, carne asada, and chicken were terrible. The flavor and seasoning are poorly done. Not only does it lack flavor, dishes are both undercooked and overcooked. Rice tasted old. Sauces tasted like they were from cans. Watery. The staff takes a very long time, even when it is not busy. Mexican food, non-Mexican atmosphere. Ok, I love Mexican food. The blankets on the wall that match the parrots that are hanging from the ceiling. The cracked tile, ugly carpet - it all adds to the atmosphere of being in Mexico! uhhh, not really, but that's what I like to think. Mexico Lindo is like walking into an American restaurant. No birds, no blankets, just nice paint colours and "artwork" on the walls. The booths are a tad on the small side (or perhaps at 6' I'm just too tall?) but they are nice, clean and new. I'm from Portland, and for the first time in a long time I actually felt like I was NOT in Albany eating dinner - that was a great feeling :) We'll definitely be going back to Mexico Lindo - the food was hot & yummy, the services was great, the margaritas were fantastic. This restaurant is an okay place to take children; that is really the only good thing about it. The food ids quite expensive and not quality. We paid $2.25 for a side of flour tortillas, which were probably Reser brand, our Super Nachos were extremely small, and $12.50 will get you exactly 7 buffalo wings. I will not return. read more

We sat outside on the patio and it was a gorgeous day for lunch outside. Our waitress was obviously somewhere else in her mind. She certainly wasn't present at the restaurant. I had the carne asada burrito. The steak was dry and flavorless. The rest of the burrito was pretty standard ingredients. I'm such a snob when it comes to carne asada. It lacks the usual "Mexican Restaurant" atmosphere - no stucco or sombreros or anything like that - just a clean, simple restaurant with ordinary framed art on the walls. However... This is by far the best Mexican food I've experienced in the Albany/Corvallis area. I live in Corvallis, but it's worth tacking on a few extra minutes of driving time to get to Mexico Lindo when I'm craving Mexican food. The flavors are good, the service is friendly, the margaritas (and other mixed drinks) are DELICIOUS. Just writing about it is making me hungry. read more

Like many others I really wanted this place to be good because of its location. The food isn't bad. It's not great and there are better places but it's not bad. What is bad is the service. IT'S TERRIBLE! Tonight we were sat not so quickly and the restaurant was about half full. We quickly learned they were understaffed when the woman next to us asked the host," CAN WE ORDER! WHERE IS THE WAITER?!?"the host then mentioned there was ONE waiter. We should have just left. I guess call us lazy but I just wanted dinner and didn't want to load the kids back up. It only took 15 minutes for someone to come take our order, or look at us, or even talk to us. Like I said the food isn't bad. The service is just terrible. On top of it all the prices are too high. Very disappointed. It's like eating in a Denny's or a pancake house. No decor at all. If your party of 4 eats more than one small basket of chips, they charge you for more. The food was not good. When I can't finish a meal, I always take leftovers home for my dog or me. I did not want them. Left over 2/3 uneaten as did another at my table. No server asked if my food was ok, which was strange. I had a margarita, they never asked if I wanted another. Never refilled my water glass. They were not busy. I guess we know why. Lastly it was happy hour, which we did not realize. I like this place. It's not "authentic" in its flavors, no, but it's not too bad, either. Most of it tastes pretty good. I'm not a big fan of the chile relleno sauce (which might be their enchilada sauce, too) - as it tastes a bit like packaged pizza sauce, and could use more spices. Actually, most of it could probably use more spices, but I feel that way about nearly every restaurant. In general, things are quite tasty. I especially love their chips and salsa, and have occasional cravings for them. The thing that really makes this place pleasant is the ambiance and the service. It's well laid-out, open and warm and inviting. The colors are pleasant. The art is pretty. It's clean. It's comfortable. And above all, the server (the owner?) is professional, courteous, kind, but not obnoxiously hovering. Friendly and dedicated. It's a nice place to be. I'm not sure why it's such a bad thing that a Mexican restaurant doesn't have fake stucco/sombreros/etc.. Perhaps that's just what Americans have come to expect as the "flavor" of Mexico? Not sure. If you're looking for something that reminds you of Mexican fast food (I mean, _Mexican_ fast food, not Taco Bell), try a place like La Milagrosa. Waitstaff was very friendly. Food was good. But every time I try to eat here, the music is sooo annoying. It's loud and filled with drama. Making it even worse I don't understand the language, so I don't know what all the heart-wrenching weeping and wailing is all about. Please! People are trying to relax and enjoy their dinner. We have always had great experiences with this restaurant. Several members of the staff have been there for as long as we have been going - they greet us with a smile and know our preferences. The food is fairly consistent in quality and they never complain or give indication of frustration when we make special requests, like refusing chips, asking for condiments to be served on the side, or certain ingredients left out. This is as much our favorite place to go at the end of a work week as it is the place to take visiting guests. I greatly appreciate that in an era where every place else tries to rush you through their doors, the folks at Mexico Lindo care, making it so much easier to return. It's an American-looking restaurant with Mexican food. Speaking of the food, I ordered the beef enchilada and chimichanga combo. The rice was decent, but both the chimichanga and enchilada were lackluster. It didn't wow me; it tasted bland, y'know. The waitress kept pestering us to order quickly and when we were finally ready to order, she took forever to come back. To top it all off, she forgot to give my mom's debit card back after we paid. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. All in all, everything was borderline okay, but I'm not coming back. We frequently come to Mexico Lindo mostly because we live across the street. Everything is a bit pricy, the food is pretty good, but the main reason we come is for the amazingly strong margaritas, fantastic mojitos, and the chips and salsa are great! We like to watch college football at the bar and sit outside on nice days. As far as food goes the pollo de crema is amazing, and during happy hour margaritas are $3.95 and hard tacos are only a buck! Can't beat it!! read more
