Chips and Salsa- just okay
Souk S.

This place is average at best. You walk in and it is a little run down but you are hoping for something authentic. Complimentary chips and salsa are okay. Chips and fine but the 2 types of salsa lack any flavour. I had the tacos (steak) and my wife had the chimichangas. Both served with small portion or rice, salad and beans. Rice was okay but the beans were plain and the tacos and chicken in the chimichangas just lacked spice. We have travelled to Mexico many times and are not expecting the exact same meal but give us something reasonable. I hate to say it but eating Tacos at the chain you find at the malls has more flavour and spice. The only thing I appreciated was the friendly service. The server told me to avoid the chorizo because it was not that good! I appreciate the honesty but wonder how bad the chorizo could be because the steak wasn't good either. In any case if you want Mexican there are much better options including the chains.

Hidden gem in Ajax for comforting Mexican food. Everything tastes amazing. Fried icecream is not so great but when they have it the tres leche was good. Lime margarita was refreshing. The rice and refried beans was delicious

Camarones al Mojo de Ajo- fresh shrimps prepared in white sauce and garlic sauce ($18.95)

Craving for tonight.. Mexican food. I ordered the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo-Fresh shrimps prepared in white wine and garlic sauce ($18.95) The sauce was very flavourful. Even when it say white wine sauce, it doesn't look like a white wine sauce. The shrimps were good size and tasty. We ordered the Nachos, corn tortilla chips smothered in melted cheese, ranchero sauce, sour cream, feta cheese, pico de gallo, and jalepano ($9.95) this dish was okay. It tasted a bit watery. I wasn't a huge fan of it. Chimichanga -deep fried burrito with your choice of filling and mozzarella cheese ($12.95) was flavourful, but a bit on the salty side. Overall, can give it a try.

I've lived in Ajax for almost 10 years and I finally had the opportunity to dine here. All I can say is that I have found my place for Mexican food. My husband and I took a walk and decided to stop in and have lunch. Walking in it reminded us of our regular Mexican spot downtown Toronto so already we a good feeling. Service was friendly. I ordered the fish tacos and my husband ordered the burrito. Our food was ready after a short wait and presentation was clean and appealing. Food was great and we both enjoyed our meals. Price of our meal was pretty fair. I'm not complaining considering I liked our food. For sure we will dine here again. Atmosphere was friendly and portions were enough. I don't know why we waited this long to eat here. A pleasant surprise for us.

As we found ourselves driving around with no idea what we wanted to eat, but knowing we were hungry, we noticed this place in what seemed like a dingy kind of run down plaza. Seeing good reviews online though, we thought we'd give it a try; and I'm sure glad we did. When we first entered, we felt transported to Mexico. The place was quite like places we've been in Mexico, with groovy colours on the walls, all kinds of decorations all over the place, and a bit of a loved but kind of run down feel to it. We were greeted and seated right away, and got a long look through the menu to start. The lady who showed us to our seat was friendly, but I've got to say on the whole the service is where they were lacking. We almost left it took so long to check in and take our order. Like 15 minutes or so. And the place wasn't exactly crazy busy. Thankfully we stuck it out, and the food was well worth the wait. First we were treated to a plate of salsa and homemade chips. Apparently every table gets them, and so it was a nice surprise. Together we ordered a chimichanga and enchiladas, and both were excellent. They were very accommodating about our food preferences too - allowing me to substitute extra salad instead of refried beans, and letting us try two very different combinations for the enchiladas. Both plates had a good sized portion on them, and although we finished every last bite of the appetizer and main dishes, we had no room left for dessert. Definitely will be heading back again next time we're anywhere near!

Shrimp appetizer! Yummy

This is our second visit to Mexico Lindo. We came when it first opened years back. We ordered the calamari, but they don't have it today? So we are going with the shrimp at the suggestion of our server. The shrimp is our appetizer, I am having Chimichanga and hubby having the tacos for our main course. The shrimps are delicious! They come with bread that is basically garlic bread, I think plain bread would be better. Big jumbo shrimps in a little bit spicy sauce, very good! Our main courses were good also.

Chorico nachos.

Overall, I really enjoyed my dining experience at Mexico Lindo. Staff was very friendly, prices were great and the food was tasty. Buddy and I ordered the Chorico nachos for our appetizer. Quite a generous portion with great flavour, must say that I really enjoyed it that if I was ever in the mood for just having nachos, I'm just going to get them here! As for my main, I had the Mezlatán combo, and the bud got the Aji Camarones entrée. I'm allergic to shellfish so I can't speak for the dish, but from what was left on the plate, looks like he really enjoyed it. For my entrée, I must say it was great, the beef was seasoned well and the chicken in the burrito was not dry at all or simply just white meat, delicious. Had the deep-fried ice cream for dessert to finish. It was what it was, frozen ice cream ball coated in cornflakes type crust. Always a fave of mine.

Chips & three salsas
Christina S.

This is one of my absolute favorite spots for Mexican. We have eaten here countless times and the food is consistently excellent. The Sopa Cancun is incredibly flavorful with a tomato-based broth, loaded w/chicken, slices of fresh avocado, cheese and tomato. The salsas that accompany the complimentary tortilla chips are bursting w/flavor. They give three different kinds of salsa...mild, med., hot & spicy. I highly recommend the enchiladas as you get two, your choice of meet, topped w/the sauce(s) of your choice. The Mole is sweet and quite an interesting choice! Why not try something new?! The service too is always friendly and helpful!

Great little restaurant! I had the Tabasco(spicy beef burrito and chicken enchilada). The portions were really large. We called in our order because we only have a have hour for lunch and the food was ready as soon as we sat down. Atmosphere was really cool, and brought back memories of my last trip to Mexico. Service was great, I'll be returning soon. I highly recommend! James B.

I am new to Quesada. There's a location by my workplace that I frequented for the first time a few months back. That experience prompted me to download the app and sign up for the Salsa Starter Qlub. You earn points when you make purchases and redeem points towards food and more. It includes hot sauce! I haven't ordered anything from Quesada ever since. It doesn't help that Markham doesn't have a location. On Saturday, I was in Pickering taken in a movie. After it was over, I needed to fetch some dinner. I did a search for a Quesada and found this one in Ajax, ten minutes away from where I was. Perfect! I placed this order on the Quesada app: - Holy goalie classic burrito combo (comes with a drink) - Dorilocos with ground beef The app said that it would take ten minutes for my order to be ready. Perfect! It was a nice, leisurely drive over to this Quesada. It's in a plaza with an LCBO and a bunch of other eateries that piqued my interest. I parked and walked in. This eatery was doing steady business when I walked in. There are places to sit down and chow down. I headed to the counter. I interacted with a female staffer, who was cheerful and nice. I said that I had an order under my name. She nodded. She packed both my food items in a paper bag and carefully handed it to me. She reminded me that I had a drink and I could choose one from the fridge. I thanked her and headed over to fetch my drink. I loved the variety of beverages. I went with a bottle of guava Jarritos. I then headed to my car. I placed my food and drink in an insulated bag, and took highway 401 home, followed by backroads. I wish that this highway flowed so well all the time. When I got home, I had dinner. I was excited. The Dorilocos appealed to me. It's a snacky item featuring a bag of Doritos topped with either ground beef or beans, queso sauce, lettuce, and tomatoes. I went with ground beef. The bag was sealed and placed in a container with a fork. It was fun eating this snack out of the bag. It was delicious! I loved my holy goalie classic burrito. It was hefty! It was fun customizing my burrito: - Whole wheat wrap - Rice - Refried beans - Chipotle tomato sauce (mild) - Chipotle mayo - Cheese - Corn - Mexican street slaw - Pickled onions This burrito was packed with a ton of flavour. The ingredients tasted fresh. The wrapper was solid. It was nicely grilled and still hot. So good! The Jarritos cap does not twist off. I used a bottle opener to pop the cap off. The guava Jarritos was delicious and cold. It was the perfect drink to wash down my meal. I had a wonderful experience here. I'd return for more good eats and drinks. (186)

However last night I had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant on a Tuesday night and it was a packed house! Service was excellent, going above and beyond to welcome me at the door, take care of me throughout the evening and our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire menu. They were happy all night, a pleasure to interact with and be around. The food was delicious, I had an assortment of Tacos including the Baja fish tacos and Birria tacos which I recommend. They were delicious, well portioned for the price and packed full of flavour. I really enjoyed the Baja fish overall, they were fresh, seasoned, tasty. For the main course I had the Pescado Maui Maui. It was savoury, and it lit up my mouth with each bite. Rounding out the meal was the dessert, which were churros and Tres Leches cupcake. I found the cupcake to be better overall but both were sweet and scrumptious. The churros were a bit stiff and not as doughy as I thought but they still delivered. I'm glad I've been back to Chuuk and I'm glad I'll be going back to check out their patio during the warmer months.

We ordered x3 fish tacos, x3 beef tacos, and chicken nachos. It was a nice change to have meat added to nachos without any additional cost. Were they the best nachos and tacos I've ever had? No, but this place does have potential. The chicken on the nachos was shaved from a spit and was beautifully seasoned. Next time I try this place I will go for the shawarma instead! The man we ordered from asked us if we wanted to omit any toppings. The beef tacos were pretty spicy - which we like, but if you can't handle spice, tell them when you're ordering. I preferred the fish tacos over the beef. The nachos were good enough and had lots of cheese and a good topping-to-chip ratio. Give this place a try!

Clearly not worth the price tag. Chicken Quesadilla-$9.99 - Again typical stuff you find in the quesadilla, but I noticed they use the chicken from the shawarma and put it on flat stove grill and chop up the pieces...It barely had any cheese and the meat wasn't spread evenly across the quesadilla.. - Not the worst but not average too...The highlight is their garlic cream sauce they provide with this... First of all, there are too many table and chairs in the restaurant area. So much so that if someone has their chair pulled out a little bit, it's really difficult to sit comfortably. Secondly, it is very obvious when they are busy the server (singular) becomes overwhelmed very quickly. We didn't receive chips and salsa as is normal for a restaurant like this. Also my drink never came because the person said he was off his rhythm. I don't think it's a rhythm, I think you have too many tables for a restaurant of that size, even without taking into account take out orders or delivery apps. The food I had was very good though. I loved the mole sauce, it was not too choclatey, and not too spicy. It was very well balanced. My partner had the Pollo poblano though, and there was not a poblano to be seen. I was initially confused why they had Pollo Con Mole and Pollo Poblano but no Mole Poblano. I think it's because there's no poblano used. At the same time it is the best Mexican food restaurant in Pickering.
