Each sandwich is named after then owners grandparents. My husband got the Ruth Anne. He said the Braunschweiger was delicious. I'm not that adventurous. I did enjoy the chicken pesto panini. The bread!!! Wowza! So buttery. It's a delicious sandwich. The pear and blue cheese salad is ok. It didn't wow me but salads rarely do. Next time I'm trying the chicken salad. I'm also interested in their charcuterie boards. They have so many kinds of cheese and meats. I love that they use nuts too.

The store was running late on the bread bake (which meant ours was as fresh as I could be). I spent a good 10-15 minutes in my Yankees cap (like the color not the team) studying the cuts of meat while a guy in a Redsox hat waited on the adjacent stool for his Boston Beef '3 way'. The wait staff were making some valid points about chatGPT while shredding the turkey, but I kept my mouth shut and my nose clean. Our Square and New Deal sandwiches were impeccable (albeit objectively speaking, my New Deal was better). I'm looking for the right mix of textures, meat, no skimping on Kewpie and a bread I can take a good bite out of - and it was an all around excellent sandwich on those counts. In waiting - I refreshed knowledge of hog body parts, and no Yanks/Sox fights broke out. The fries are tasty, but I can see why some people say they're over seasoned/salted. The grilled cheese is a fantastic mix of gooey cheeses. The Mac and cheese was good, not great, and has kind of a crazy amount of black pepper in it. The tomato soup is good, but spicy. Like spicy enough that they should probably note that, since kids and some people will freak out. The pickles, also crazy hot and spicy, and they should definitely note that somewhere. It's a very cozy little diner and the decor is fun. The games and puzzles are a nice addition. Parking is easy, as there's street parking and a parking lot across the street.
