This is a total rip off for a $18 shrimp salad. Unfortunately not the same place it use to be. What a shame...

I love me some Juniors. This place is underrated and not talked about much and I feel it should be!…read moreThey have fun specialty drinks during holidays, like their frozen martini espresso. They also have fantastic brunches on Sunday, and they have balcony dining as well! Did you see that? Beautiful balcony dining! The drinks are reasonable too! I got a French75 for $11! They offer bottomless mimosas too. They have to die for brussel sprouts that I order EVERY SINGLE TIME I go, which has been about 3 times in the last 6 months. Whatever the sauce is, is addictive! I love their fried chicken sandwich and their pancakes are on steroids - super girthy. Parking is off street. I didn't see an elevator or anything to get up the stairs in case you have someone that can't walk up them. There is a bathroom upstairs and downstairs. I have had really great service every time I have gone, the servers are laid back and friendly people. I really love this restaurant.

Our waitress was attentive and made sure to check-in on our table regularly after she gave some recs for the table to ease our indecisiveness. Shrimp toast was crispy and had a nutty aroma from the toasted sesame seeds coating. I would eat this app first due to it becoming soggy from sitting on a sauce bed during the first 5 minutes of delivery. For the entrees, fried shrimp tacos is a go-to, bolognese was good, but the airline chicken--*insert pinching emoji.* It was seasoned, tender, and juicy! Everything on that plate made my eyes roll back. Lastly, the bread pudding..... just order it. Loved the dimly lit romantic ambiance. It's perfect for date night and cozy get-togethers. I have to say District has stepped up its food and coffee game a lot. I have been frequenting their…read morelocations more and more, especially the Elmwood one. I recently discovered their boozy coffees and that they sell Vietnamese coffee - eff the world condensed milk glory! So, freaking good. During the holidays, they sell egg nog lattes which are creamy and so delicious. But if you want the boozy one, go with the District Lebowski. Jaw drop, so good! I still think the donuts themselves need more work - I wish they would taste sugary like the ones in Lafayette called Meches. The toppings are exquisite and those hot honey fried chicken sliders are the best! The staff are very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I kind of wish those boozy coffees were at the other locations, but other than that, keep doing what you are doing!

District meets the suburbs…read more I've been to the locations on Magazine and Harrison several times but 1st time I have been to this one. This one feels like a chain restaurant (which it now is) and has no real personality being pinned in between a bike shop and a Jersey Mike's inside of strip mall. The kolaches at District are really good. They have a variety of flavors, I usually get a smoked sausage, cheese and jalapeno which is tasty but this time I got a brisket boudin and cream cheese kolache in a collaboration with Gonzo's. This was phenomenal. I also got a regular glazed donut. This was not that good. It's too dense and too thick. I like my glazed donuts to be light and airy; I want it to almost melt in my mouth. All of District's donuts are thick. Most of them are good especially the banana pudding donut. The issue is these aren't really donuts more like cakes or just a dessert. If you are coming to get your order to go this place is fine but if you want to hang out, I prefer the other locations.

The service was nice the first time but the second time we really didn't have a good one. We had a guy that was really nonchalant and didn't pay us any mind. I could go into more detail but no need to bash anyone. But when someone acts like that it makes the food mediocre. But the food was decent my favorite thing I ate was the French Toast it was sweet and moist easily a get it again. The Crab Rangoon dip was elite as well so creamy and full of flavor. The Harrison BLT was a big let down just felt they didn't put any effort into it was kind of just there. A BLT is a very simple dish but has to be made with love and care. The Winser Scramble had a lot of potential but it only had 3 shrimp in there it's hard to forgive that when that's the only protein it has in there. The hangover bowl was pretty nice, literally any dish makes you get over any hangover you have brisket in a dish it's always hearty. Now to the McOutpost, I love the idea of it. I felt if the biscuit was a bit firmer and more flaky it would've been nice. Overall this spot is a pretty cool spot to go catch a vibe and a bite.
