On July 11, Andril V of Freedom Junk Removal RECEIVED HELP TO REMOVE THE LARGE ITEMS OF FURNITURE -…read morethe sofa, dresser, bed, nightstand, and cabinet, work that required 2 people (just look at the attached pic). I contracted with Freedom Junk Removal and spoke with Andril on May 22. The flyer clearly stated that TWO PEOPLE WERE NEEDED to remove all the items. On the day of the removal, my son had to leave his job to help Andril with those large pieces of furniture, as it was evident he needed assistance since he brought NO ONE ELSE TO HELP. My son texted to say that "the guy has no help, just by himself...we only have 45 mins" for the freight time. Unless he possesses some herculean strength to move those heavy pieces of furniture all by himself, I'd like to see a few pics of what he accomplished. He came ALONE so maybe he would not have to split the funds with anyone else. In his message that morning, I informed him that the freight elevator was available for him from 9-12. He responded: "We come at 11pm." I had to seek clarification that it was 11am. He gave the impression that more than one person is involved in the moving of items. Andril called me for payment after the items were out of the apartment, and I asked if we could work out a fair price since my son helped with the removal of the large items (see the messages below). He immediately began yelling at me at the top of his voice, yelling that he got no help and insisting on a payment of $480. I asked if he could lower it to $450 since he had assistance. But he continued to yell and threatened to leave the furniture outside if he did not immediately receive the payment of $480. His unprofessionalism and disrespect towards me, a woman, really bothered me, so I sent the funds to him via Zelle to avoid further conflict. I will not recommend or use Freedom Junk Removal again. My son is completely upset that he yelled at me and also lied about not getting help from him. I will NOT EVER RECOMMEND FREEDOM JUNK REMOVAL AGAIN. Andril"s attitude was truly "junk." 7-12-25: Andril is surely a liar, with broken English. Apparently he cannot read well. The flyer CLEARLY STATES " PLEASE BRING HELP TO CARRY THE STUFF" and he received this flyer just like everyone else who contacted me for the job. The freight elevator was on hold for THREE HOURS just for him (9-12) as he stated in his messages. We knew it would take time to move all the stuff, which by the way, I'm sure he's planning to sell, as most of the items were brand new from CORT Furniture. The flyer lists a 6-drawer chest, an office desk with office chair and other heavy stuff which needed two persons to move, so why must he lie so blatantly? This is what I messaged Andril at 11:21 a.m. on the day of the move and how he responded. Clearly, he has a problem with the language: ME: "Andril, the flyer clearly states to bring help to take the items out of the apartment. Kevin is not part of Freedom Junk Removal. We will need to work out a fair price. ANDRIL: "let it not help" Andril came at 11:00 and expected to move the entire apartment by himself, in 45 minutes! Really? Then he lied about the help he got. Only one person needed to be there when the "junk" came, and my son was there to meet him, thinking that he would bring help. Because the elevator had another scheduled customer, Kevin had no choice but to take time away from his work to help, to avoid the freight elevator being held up as it was already for TWO HOURS!. How inconsiderate! With Kevin's help the price should have been below the estimate, but I asked for a fair price of $450 and that's when Andril started screaming incoherently at me over the phone! Andril needs to brush up on his business acumen, and customer service, as clearly it appears to be a one-man business. He does not seem to understand what being polite and respectful to a customer means, and especially to a woman. But maybe that's how he treats women in his country. This is the U.S Andril, and women here are treated with respect, even on the phone when doing business. Simple. Kevin, as you stated is a highly-educated, polite, well-spoken, well-respected and well-mannered American young man because that's how he was raised. He was appalled and disgusted when he heard that you yelled, screamed at his mother, and threatened to leave the stuff outside. I've never had anyone yell and scream at me like you did! You should be ashamed of yourself! But we wish you well!

Today, after significant snowfall The BP Truck came to take rubbish. I'm 64 with Rheumatoid…read moreArthritis and my mother is 87. I am 4ft 10. I do the best I can with the snow, and pushing the huge barrels. I did not get out to put trash out since the storm. I tried and fell. Truck came today and the guy got out, went over and picked up the barrel (which was curbside but had snow on it) looked in it and lifted it and threw it down! Violently. Then grabbed the recycle bin and put both of the barrels on top of the snow "mountain" made by the street plow. I am worried of them falling down on street traffic. I'm not able to get thru the snow and lift and move it. What is wrong? creepy! Who wants to have that kind of "service". I would like this company to let us know how we should deal with snow/barrels/and threats at our ages/health. Signed: Doing the Damn Best That We Can.

TERRIBLE SERVICE - RUDE BILLING DEPT - NO ACCOUNTABILITY!…read more I only used BP for 3 months. The first problem I had was a billing issue. I was quoted $200/month for twice per week pickup. When I received my 2nd monthly invoice there was a $34 diesel charge added. I figured this was a simple mistake and called to ask about it. My call was never returned. I called back the beginning of the following week. I mentioned that I never got a call back. They said they'd call me back - again, nothing. A third call a few days later didn't get a response. Finally, on my FOURTH CALL, I said that this is the fourth time I've called and haven't had a response. Her reply was "I handle all the billing, I would have remembered you". As if I was lying about having called - Some nerve! After some back and forth, she called the owner and the issue was resolved. Skip to February... My first service day of the week comes and goes with no removal. I call to ask what's going on. They say they are busy due to snow and will be down to get it that day. They say the building was locked. This is untrue. My restaurant is located in a mixed use condo complex. The dumpsters for the individual shops in the building are all located inside a garage/trash room. When I first called BP, I explained this. They also have another customer who has trash in the same spot. After the first time a driver couldn't figure it out, I re-explained the situation. When my monthly invoice arrived, it had no deduction for the missed pickup. After calling to complain about my SECOND NO-SHOW for pickup / 2nd BILLING QUESTION,the person that answered said that they will come pick it up. I asked about the billing and was told they will always pick up what they missed from the last time. I said that I get my trash picked up twice per week for a reason and I don't want trash piled up making a mess and shouldn't be paying for no-show days. I then told her that I was getting pretty fed up with the missed days and the poor response from billing. She said "I handle all the billing and I would remember you" AGAIN!!!!!!! I said that's the second time you've told me that... come pick up your containers and get them out of here! She said they will pick up my trash and take away the container but they wanted me to pay my new invoice over the phone now! How ballsy do you have to be to handle complaints with demand for payment (on the invoice I just received!) I said I would like to speak with the owner about the matter. I explained the situation to the owner Steve. Instead of any sort of apology or way to fix the situation, I was met with nothing but BULLSHIT EXCUSES. The excuse was changed from "we can't get in, it's locked" to "we never go inside buildings, you're supposed to roll it out onto the sidewalk" which they NEVER MENTIONED before. If that were the case I would not have gone with them. He also said that I told him "verbatim" that they need to come inside and get the key from me. Well, I don't even have a key for that door, nor does it require one, so that was also untrue. Also, what the hell does that have to do with the billing dept. ignoring me and being incredibly rude or their trucks not showing up on pickup days??? That was his serious response. That and "I don't know how many times you called so I can't say if that's true or not" That would be like a customer telling me he stood at the counter with no one taking his order for twenty minutes and I say "I wasn't there when you walked in, so I don't know if that's true" STAY AWAY - BIG TIME EXCUSE MAKERS.
