Staff was extremely helpful and worked with my busy schedule. Nancy did a phenomenal job at working with me. Dentist was well knowledgeable.

Dr. Bo Tran & staff are all Very professional yet competent, Caring and compassionate! Very pleasant & clean office!

Dr. Tran's dental practice is absolutely wonderful. A Dentist can write anything to say what they stand for on their website, but Dr. Tran and his team truly live up to creating a comfortable, gentle, and trusting environment! I have neglected my cleanings for a few years and Dr. Tran got be back on track. I love his approach in only suggesting what is needed and seeing what works best before moving on to the next step and was extremely impressed with the technology that is used in the office. His team works together so well and you can see the respect and knowledge that contributes to making this practice a special place. If you are looking for a new dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Tran and his team! read more

I'm no stranger to the dentist's chair. Most of my elderly relatives had/have dentures or have had problems with gum disease. I probably had more dentistry done in my early 20's than the average person does in a lifetime. As you can imagine, keeping my teeth in great shape is important to me. I moved here from NC in 2011 and I was going to the dentist about once a year on my trips back to NC. I started traveling back East less and less and really needed to find a regular dentist here. I heard about Dr. Sutton at a health fair at my job. I liked the idea of getting free teeth whitening. I think that's a very generous perk of going to this office. During the past year, Dr. Sutton has worked on every single tooth in my mouth. I've gotten to know him very well at his Tempe and Phoenix offices. I look for the same qualities in a dentist as I would in a surgeon and I think Dr. Sutton is an outstanding dentist. He's professional, kind and does great work. Given that I do get to know my dentists fairly well, the comment I'd throw in about Dr. Sutton is that he's actually a fun guy. I remember him showing me a funny video on You Tube once in between dental procedures because he said: "I know you'll like this!" And I did! Now I wouldn't be expecting him to entertain you with videos, but my point was, he knew enough about me to know what I liked. I appreciate that. The thing that has impressed me the most about Dr. Sutton is his deep sense of compassion. At the point where I realized that I needed a lot of new work done on my teeth I got very depressed about it and stopped smiling as much. I have a naturally broad smile and I started compromising and not smiling or smiling without showing my teeth. Dr. Sutton encouraged me to keep smiling, even though I didn't feel great about my teeth. He'd give me a pep talk each time when I came in. That big smile was a part of my personality. It wasn't easy, but I did keep smiling and now my teeth look better than ever, so it's easy. I know that some people have had complaints about this or that here on Yelp but don't let that sway you from getting genuinely good dental care. All dentists are not equal. I'd recommend Dr. Sutton without reservation and I have the chops (literally) to back my testimonial. I really like the staff at both the offices too. They're friendly, professional and accommodating. read more

Metro Refresh Dentistry - General Dentistry Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Dr. Sutton is an amazing dentist! I have been going here for years now. He always makes sure you know what's going on, makes sure you don't experience any pain, and always makes sure you are comfortable. The staff is fantastic as well! On Friday (03/15/2019) I tripped and broke half of my front tooth off. I called Metro Refresh Dentistry the next day on their emergency line and they got me in that morning on their day off! Dr Sutton and Liz came in and were very friendly and caring even though they weren't supposed to be there on a Saturday! He made my tooth look like it was never broken! I highly recommend this practice! read more

The staff was very nice and personable, they made my appointment very comfortable, the dentist was really nice and gentle. When I started to feel some pain he quickly took everything out so I wouldn't be in more pain and numbed me some more before starting again. They were able to take me right away after my cleaning so I could get everything filled without waiting for another appointment. It's been a little over two weeks since being there and overall my teeth are great. read more

Dr. Sutton and his staff treat me so well! Melody is always friendly and reminds me when my cleanings are. Kacy is the best dental hygienist I've ever had--she's very friendly through the whole process. Dr. Sutton is a perfectionist which is the best quality in a dentist! He made my two fake front teeth look amazing and white. I was always self conscious about my teeth until he fixed them and made them look real. He takes his time and is very patient and compassionate. My whole family goes to his office and we all agree! read more

I was contacted by this office from winning a free teeth whitening kit when i registered at the bridal expo. I just moved to Phx and needed a dentist so I gave them a try. My 1st appt took a LONG time, almost 2 hrs luckily I wasn't in a rush and people there were great to talk to. Luckily, I stayed and listened to the dentist because he found many problems with my teeth that previous dentist haven't noticed. I work as an ICU RN, and I love to see progress. I LOVE how they took pictures of my teeth and explain how I'm at extremely high risk of getting a cavity from the white rings on my teeth. This is great because he actually can SHOW me what's wrong with them instead of me having to trust them in what they see. Also because the photos can be amplified, he's able to find things that are hard to find to the naked eye. Also, every time I see him, he takes pics of before treatment and after...and he sends a copy of them home with you! It's nice to see progression and treatment without having to pry it out of dentists. I highly appreciate the time he takes to explain things to me and what the plan is. I was afraid to get all of my cavities (total 4) fixed at 1st because of the cost it can have. but they figured out a way for me to pay for certain ones now since my insurance was covering them. After fixing 3 of the 4, I didnt' have any more coverage at that time. So they said, not to worry and they will take care of it in 2015 when my dental plan recycles again, having full allowance again. I am paying more monthly premium in order to continue going to Dr. Sutton, but it is well worth it! read more

Dr. Sutton and his team are more than fantastic. Kacy and Melody are always nice to see. They treat you as guests not just customers. I have come to know them over the years now following Dr. Sutton from north scottsdale to tempe and now to Phoenix. They are true professionals. If you are looking to build a relationship with a family and or life long practice look now further. read more

The best dentist I have ever seen. The office staff is wonderful, the Dental Assistant are great. He works with a Denturist that is a magician and very concerned about fit and comfort. read more

I called here today to ask some questions about getting an appointment for a root canal and when I asked the women on the phone about payment options she was very rude and said payment is due at time of service and hung up without saying bye or anything. If the receptionist is that rude that's enough to never step foot in that place. read more

Top Notch my search is over. I finally found a professional dentist who delivers everything in a family dentist. He is extremely gentle and makes sure you have no pain and are comfortable at all times. I was not embarrassed or scared to open my mouth to what he might find. He was very upfront with me not how bad it looks but how he will make it better, not for his pocket book, but for your confidence. I was a mess, I had not visited a dentist in years; in two visits I walked out with a new smile and outlook on life. I was never treated like a number. I was treated better than family. I do not have the best insurance or job he worked with me on both. I look great and feel healthy again. His staff are the most caring people you will ever meet in your life. Funny I did not want to leave. there really are no words for my experience and how I look and feel. Thank you, Dr. Sutton, Nancy and staff. And I Thank God for bringing them into my life. read more

By far the best dentist I have been to!! Great bedside manner and very personable!! Highly recommend for any dental need. Dr. Sutton was able to fix some urgent problems quickly and effectively. read more

I've had my fair share of dental work over the years under the care of a few different doctors. But Dr. Sutton has been hands down the best dental experience I have ever had. The time, detail, and care that goes into all dental work done in that office is impeccable. I learned more about my dental hygiene in a 45 minute consult with him, than I have in my years of dentist visits. I left my last filling looking forward to the next filling I had scheduled because of the incredible work done by Dr. Sutton and his team. I highly reccommed this office and Dr. Sutton! read more

I too "won" a free teeth-whitening service, but in retrospect it was a scam. I get that it's a way to get people in the door (i.e. everybody wins), and I respect that, but I felt like it was dishonest from the start. When I booked my appointment I was asked when my last cleaning had been and I told them it had been the previous day (true!) with a full visit. She sounded disappointed, and said, "oh, so you already have a regular dentist for those things?" and I said yes. When I arrived, the regular receptionist wasn't there so others were filling in, which I know is tough. I filled out the new patient paperwork but didn't sign the "I was given the HIPAA info" because there wasn't any! When I asked, the girl said "well, it's just standard. HIPAA is a law that says we can't share your information." I know what HIPAA is, but I wasn't signing that I'd been given a copy when I wasn't. She seemed lost, but dug around and eventually came up with a copy. But then... I noticed my "treatment plan", which she'd accidentally handed me with the HIPAA form. It included an exam, cleaning, X-rays and the whitening (all billable to insurance, except the whitening). I told her I thought there was an error--I wasn't in for all that--and she said that X-rays are required before doing the service. What??? I had just had films three weeks prior and wasn't up for more. She was insistent that they're necessary to be sure the whitening is safe, and that they have to do their own. I told her that 1-I was frustrated that they didn't have me request films when the appointment was set and 2-they wouldn't accept them from my regular DDS. Then she told me "well, they're digital" (as if that lowers the exposure!) and THEN "they're just low dose". That made me lose confidence in her completely! Dental films, while limited in area, have to have deeper penetration to get through enamel. And I'd just had films! And--she didn't know--I work around X-ray and don't need one single extra mGy, especially for an unnecessary test. At that point I decided that having whiter teeth definitely wasn't worth unnecessary radiation exposure, possible billable procedures that wouldn't be covered and the almost sure follow-up of dental work that I "needed". (The client before me was leaving when she was told about a cavity and that "they could just go ahead and fill it today".) I walked out, lesson learned. Two stars instead of one because the people I spoke with at the office were nice enough, but the business and subsequent clinical model are obviously flawed. read more

Nothing against Dr. Sutton he deserves 5 stars but unfortunately front office deserves nothing. I have been a patient for a couple years now great dentist, great work, great staff except front office everytime I have gone she is always on her phone texting, it never bothered me until now that I have been trying to get a hold of someone since thursday, I have left voicemails and no returns. I went to the office today because I called 3 times and someome would pick up and hang right up. The lights were on but the door was locked it was a little over 11 A.M, I did come back because maybe they were out to lunch and I live around the area so no big deal, I came back an hour and half later and still no one. I'm so upset because I spoke to someone on Friday but they couldn't answer the question I had so she did say to call back Monday that Melody would be in all week answering calls because Dr. Sutton was out. I can't believe it's been since Thursday and I haven't been able to get a hold of Melody. I will be looking for a new dentist after this not because of the dentist but because of how the front office management is handled, what if this was an emergency I don't want to believe how It would be handled. It is such a pitty because he does amazing work, and I have spent a lot of money here. read more

I read other reviews before going to this dentist. Sorry to hear about the person who got the raffle from bridal expo. I tossed my name in at the women's expo recently and received a text that I won free teeth whitening also. I called ahead of time to ask all the questions....is there a copay? do i pay a percentage? and was told nothing. Spoke with Shelly and she was helpful and very nice. Even set up a cleaning when she let me know my insurance has them as a provider. I just got back from the office and it took me ten minutes to fill out new client info. The girls at desk were extremely friendly. Had no issues during xrays....I mean xrays in your mouth people....of course it is going to be slightly uncomfortable, but nothing I haven't experienced before at dentists. Dr Sutton was extremely nice to me and no one pushed me into anything. I definitely will be making them my new dentist and going back.....and I live in Surprise so that's saying something. Can't wait to try the teeth whitening kit I got!!!!!! I am sorry, but I did forget the technician that cleaned my teeth.....incredibly NICE and FRIENDLY woman!!!!!! Thank you for an awesome visit and helping me leave western dental for your team!! read more

My husband and I were introduced to this location through a bridal show where they were offering their teeth whitening. We have gotten so much more than we bargained for- and we have been back many times for our dental needs since. Dr. Sutton, Melody, and Stephanie are always so welcoming and personable, it is always a great experience. Dr. Sutton patiently explains the things that he does and the reasons that he does them- between that and the really kind and caring staff, we wouldn't change a thing. read more
