Today was the last straw for Metro Med... I will never do business with them again and unless you LIKE being lied to, you will save yourself a ton of aggravation by shopping for your supplies on AMAZON. I have had every single customer service employee at Metro Med lie to me, and today the representative IN THE VENTURA office (she normally straightens out the lies and messes made by her co-workers) insisted on arguing with me telling me that it's MY FAULT the order gets screwed up. When they tell you your order will be shipped on a specific date, they are lying. When they tell you your order has been shipped, they are lying. When they tell you that you are approved for nasal pillows, filters, etc, they are lying. Not once have they got an order right for me and judging from the other reviews on yelp, nobody else had anything constructive or complimentary to say about them either. All I want are drama free communications, my cpap supplies shipped when they say they'll ship (THIS HAS NEVER EVER HAPPENED) and to be treated with a little respect. Called twice a while back for a compliance memory card for the machine provided by them, and after hemming and hawing about me getting it from somewhere else, they said they would send one. If you really care about your health, do yourself a favor and find a reputable company to supply you with respiratory devices. DO NOT use MEtro-Med!!! If I worked there, I would be ashamed of admitting it. I was experiencing difficulties with the equipment and called to get someone to help me. After sitting on the phone for at least 15 minutes on hold and listening to a recording telling me I was 5th in the que then 4th , then 3rd, then 2nd, I was tossed into a voicemail box to leave a message. This was a Friday morning. When I didn't get a call after 3 hours I called back. The same scenario happened again. I left another message and waited 2 more hours......no call. My third call was answered by someone in the office (don't remember her name). I asked to be connected with Rachelle and was told she was demonstrating a Cpap machine to a patient. I asked that a message be physically handed to her because I had left other messages on her voice mail to no avail. I told the woman their customer service was rediculous and asked to speak to a supervisor. She said the supervisor was not available because they were in Fresno. FRESNO???? How do you supervise employees when you are 2 hours away???? I didn't get a call that Friday. After leaving more messages begging for a call I was contacted several days later. I could go on and on about why you are better served if you find another company to work with for your respitory supplies. PLEASE, PLEASE, don't put yourself through this added stress. I wish I could give them a zero star rating. I was talked into ordering a different c-pap mask that I usually use. The guy told me that I could send back the masks if I didn't like them. He didn't tell me that I had to return them in 30 days. They are horrible masks, they leaked. My mother in law was in the hospital and passed away so sending the masks back were the not a priority. They called me to reorder. The girl tried to talk me into ordering the same masks that leaked, they had no record of shipping the masks. They refused to let me return the unopened defective masks. They are so rude and didn't seem to care when I told them I would never order from them again. I would never order from them. read more

I called in to see if a service technician could service my CPAP machine and the lady was extremely rude and told me because I didn't buy the machine there she wouldn't help me at all even though I have purchased machines from them in the past. OMG I just cannot shake this company. BUT I finally found a way to get in touch with them. Since they don't answer when I call - or just let it hang on hold until it sends me to voicemail - I just don't pay the bill! Now they call me! I have two, TWO, insurances. They can't seem to verify my primary and question that I even have it (funny because every other provider seems to find/bill them AND I've provided the info twice if not three times). And they won't bill my secondary because... well.. they can't seem to provide an answer for that one. It's been a year since my first review and not. one. thing. has improved. The manager Brenda is extremely rude.. PLEASE do business with a different company. I deal with a sick grandmother that needs a 5L-6L ox and they bring her an up to 5L ox machine. To then call and speak with Brenda about it. I'm sure at least 50 percent of the people who use this company are elderly. My grandmother can't breath, and Brenda continues to raise her voice and talk to my grandmother so cold heartedly I took over the phone call. Ask to speak with VP due to her communication skills, and she says well I can't do anything for you guys until you pay, he won't be able to do so either and he just got done traveling so is very busy. Excuse me? I do not care about someone's itinerary, I care about my GRANDMOTHERS HEALTH, as should they. This should be TOP PRIORITY FOR EVERYONE, PEOPLE SHOULD BE TALKED TO KINDLY. I am not impressed with this company and will look into other companies who offer CPAP supplies. I got a new machine last October and supplies. The Ventura office did not have all the supplies in the office so I was supposed to receive them in the mail. Didn't happen. Sometime in January I even received an email saying I was eligible for another shipment. I responded that I didn't want a new shipment I just wanted what I had already paid for! NO RESPONSE! Over the last week I have called and spoke to 2 different people in supply as well as dropped into the office. Emily in Ventura knows nothing, the Respiratory Therapist who is the only one in the office who seems to be able to know what they actually have in stock is too busy to speak with me, Carlos in resupply didn't even bother calling me back and its been 5 hours since Emily said he would call. Now I have Taniya in South Carolina telling me she will get back to me tomorrow once she emails her manager and asks how to handle this. No one knows how to get me what I have already paid for. Do not start with this company. There are no words to describe the negligence this company uses handling medical supplies. They rushed me through the fitting and consequently gave me the wrong size pillows. When my doctor made a change in equipment they sent the wrong sizes. They promised replacements by Monday. I called on Wednesday after not receiving anything as promised. I got the biggest load of bull and was promised it would go out on Thursday overnight. Guess what it's Friday and it has not left the warehouse. Oh well I guess no one told them these are medical supplies. Their lack of ethics is appalling . I sure wish I had seen this site before starting with them. Everything I read here is my feelings. Lying about orders being placed, not calling back, rudeness from everyone, issued different equipment from the prescription. I have reported all this to my Dr., said he had no idea all this was taking place. Order from 3 weeks ago still has not shown up. Still have not had a return call. I'll search for another company that takes medicare. Anyone out there know of one thats good to work with? let it out. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with any medical organization. After having a sleep study and getting prescription for a BPAP machine this outfit decided I needed another complete study don't BFORE they would even send the request to my insurance. They state they could not get my cardiologist to give them the chart, but my cardio states they never contacted them for any notes or charts. They wi9ll not call you back. As others state they just leave you hanging. They must either have a huge client base of they are money laundering due to their total lack of customer service. read more

Had been with Metro-Med Inc since 2009 however level of service declined over the years in that there was never any real follow up from them with regard to the use of the CPAP machine. Since Metro-Med Inc is only local when I would travel service was not available for instance when I was traveling in South Dakota the CPAP machine failed me I telephoned Ventura and eventually had to really assert myself to the office manager to even come to some sort of agreement which was I paid for UPS shipping and handling to ship the machine back to Ventura, in the meantime I was without a machine for some period of time. Metro-Med Inc indicated they could do nothing until they received my machine. Several times I had requested Metro-Med Inc to provide me with a list of their out of area contract providers which they never provided to me. It was in my best interest to seek out a national service provider who would provide me with a quality of service that I felt would better service my needs. read more
