Good luck finding an actual check out line... in general there is one open line... you'll otherwise need to go to the self checkout - which mostly doesn't work. The store isn't particularly well kept or clean... which is a turn off in a grocery store. When this was a pick and save it was a bit of a gem... sadly no longer.

They had everything that I would expect to find from the other Willy establishments. Staff and guests here were very friendly and it was easy to shop around and find my groceries. Now, I've never been here during their breakfast hours but I was shocked to learn that they had vegan empanada to go and the hot food section. Prices here are fair on all products though it does pay if you shop here frequently and you are an owner so you pay better prices. Some of the self checkout lines were out of service. Overall, it is a great place to visit and it boasts plenty of parking so that shouldn't be an issue. Easy access to the streets as well as the highway nearby

I won't delve deeply beyond that on him other then to say while he "gets the job done" he's does so with the absolute minimum in personality . Why have someone at a service counter who can't be "friendly" with customers. I really question the management because I'm sure they are fully aware. At least they SHOULD be. So that being said I went there today to get my lunch and a couple of other things. Business as usual. I didn't hear him clean his phlegm today so I felt really lucky. So I get to the front and they have lines and I go to self check out. Fine. I quickly scan my stuff and attempt to pay. The register asks if o want cash back, so I say yes! Of course I would! Then I see that they have these posted signs that say no cash back. So the machine has a melt down. I wait a couple of moments . And this middle aged woman ...with gray mid length hair comes up behind me to "help". She doesn't greet me or apologize she proceeds to scold me. And I defend my self and say , well the machine said I could , apologizing. I really didn't care if I could get cash I just did cuz the machine asked. So I'm like that's confusing for the customer to this woman. And she starts pushing back at me and I simply said" well, let's fix and move on". I just wanted to get though to move on in my day, cuz you know, I have to make money to pay the high prices at Metcalfs. At that point she took offense and said "you don't have to talk to me like that". And I got confused. "Fix it and move on" apparently is a foreign concept for the folks at Metcalfs. Okay. So at that point I'm done. I talk her to let it go . I thank her and tell her to have a nice day and I won't be back. I at that point leave and head elsewhere for lunch, I got Chipotle . Fair. As it was I decided to call the store and let them know ...the manager ... Chris ...who seemed very distracted and busy on the phone. So I think it's fair to say also not focused on the customer experience. I let him in on my experience. He apologized and asked me to return . I told him , no thanks. As it turns out the transaction did go though and the manager had to call me back to come retrieve my monies . Which I am loathe to do. You know as consumers we all have choices and we make those choices on something called "value". That equation is essentially a comparison analysis of price and perceived benefits . At this , based on prior and today's experience, Metcalfs fails. They get by on pretense over substance. I will not be retuning.

The store was very clean, organized, and well-stocked. They had some great deals on items that were on sale, and it was cool to see some of their local products and other items that are not available at the Whole Foods in Illinois where I live. A shout-out to Kaleb for being an excellent cashier, and to Dalinee at Customer Service. I'll definitely stop by again the next time I'm in the area.

This Brooklyn-based brand, Van Leeuwen has quickly become one of our favorites. Their ice cream is rich, creamy, and made with simple, readable ingredients. Earl Grey. Gooey butter cake and caramelized banana are our favorites! Normally it's $7 to $8 per pint, which isn't bad for the quality, but getting it at half price was amazing. We loaded up our freezer and are still enjoying them on these hot summer days!
