Premium ice cream
Sho R.

This is a neatly organized higher end grocery store. I stop by generally to get their Scottish salmon which is $26/lb. But the quality is good. I usually get meat and chicken as well. They also have exotic Wisconsin specialties like Rush Creek Reserve Uplands Cheese and Potters crackers. The ice cream section also has high end ice creams like Jeni's.

The beautiful multitiered cake.

We order a multitiered cake from Metcalf's West Towne at 7455 Mineral Point Rd, Madison for our daughter engagement. Deciding on the options usually is a difficult process, but Ms. Kellie, the bakery section staff made it so easy, thanks to her expertise, patience, and professionalism. The outcome was far beyond our expectations. The look, the size, the taste, and yes, the cost was very reasonable too. Thanks to Ms. Kellie, Metcalf's Bakery at West Towne has earned new loyal, repeat, customer. Thank you so much. R. and Family

Great semi-upscale supermarket, albeit a bit pricey. They carry Madison Sourdough Bread!!! Excellent selection of quality food items.

This place is wonderful! Great place to grocery shop or stop in for lunch, or dinner to take home.

All the packaging for travel was superior, the staff was attentive and super friendly, enjoyed the atmosphere & clean restrooms during our short wait for pick-up. The brisket was phenomenal, chicken & ribs both fall-apart delectable. We sampled a variety of yummy sauces. Everyone loved the Mac N Cheese and we're a tough crowd. Hubs loved the cornbread muffins and I was impressed with the perfectly creamy cole slaw. Plenty of leftovers that we polished off the next day. Would return, maybe to add some seafood next time!

The place had a decent lunch crowd, but was by no means packed, so we figured it would be quick to get food for the kids. Our waitress came to get our drink order pretty quick, but then service slowed for receiving our drinks, ordering food, getting our food, and getting her attention for a to-go box and our bill. As for the food, we ordered the Bangor, which had shrimp and haddock and choice of two sides where we chose the corn muffins and beans. We also got the Nashville hot chicken sliders with sweet potato fries, kids chicken tenders, and kids burger with fries. The kids meals were both quite generous portions, especially the chicken tenders. The tenders were nice and juicy with a crisp exterior and one of the best things ordered. The kids burger was overly charred and had a little burnt taste, so the child wouldn't eat it and ended up eating the shrimp from the other meal instead. The Nashville hot sliders were decent sandwiches and quite large, but were by no means Nashville hot, more like somewhere between mild to medium spice. The sweet potato fries were great though and went well with their bbq sauces. The fish and shrimp received mixed reviews from the two people that ordered it. The corn muffins were definitely something that we would get again and also worked great with the bbq sauces. Overall, it was fine with some good and some not so good. The price is a little higher than some restaurants with similar offerings, but the portions are quite large, so maybe that's the tradeoff. Not sure if this is going to get added to our rotation, but they did seem to have some good happy hour deals, so maybe for that.

We ate Nani Restaurant's dinners on Monday. Their seafood hot and sour soup was one of the best hot and sour soups I have eaten outside of D.C. My wife enjoyed their General Tso Chicken and I enjoyed their Kung Pao Chicken dinner. Our only disappointment was the lack of fried rice. We chose takeout. Our dinners were ready when I arrived and the reception was great. We will return.

The food itself isn't bad - I actually quite liked a lot of the flavors of the dishes I got. I think what truly brings this review down is the poor service I get. There aren't usually many people here, but service is always at a crawling pace - it takes forever to even get a water, and then a second eternity to place an order. Dim Sum is also renowned for its cart service - but I suppose only busier places have this luxury. Nani only has a paper menu that you can order from straight from the kitchen - by no means a poor experience, but a far cry from the true dim sum experience. Again, the food is actually quite nice, but the lack of quality service, somewhat empty atmosphere, and no cart service makes this place a far cry from a real dim sum experience.

The restaurant is very unassuming but we are so happy we visited! We started with the Mediterranean platter and I will absolutely order this again because the whipped feta was amazing. Most entrees come with a salad or soup so we had the Cesar salad with ours. Dishes were perfect. Proteins were perfectly cooked and the lamb seemed very high quality. I also thought the portions were great for the price. The friendly vibe and incredible staff really put the finishing touches on an awesome night. We decided to sit on the patio and it was such a wonder summer night. Definitely make a reservation for weekends as it does seem to get busy.

The prices have just gotten out of control!! We had a bill of $156 for two people which was $186 with a $30 tip. Almost $200 for TWO people!! And it was not even that great. The calamari appetizer was extremely chewy and not good and they served the tentacles, which looked very unappetizing. I had one glass of wine and the person I was with had two, these were $14 each and not a great pour. I had the seafood trio which had exactly two scallops, two shrimp and a small piece of salmon over a bunch of vegetables that did not look made fresh at all and were mushy. The person I was with had the chicken with mashed potatoes, also over what looked like the same vegetables. Everything was just ok, to be honest and the whole thing certainly was not worth $186!!! I am not cheap by any means and will pay good money for great food and appreciate really good food but this was not worth almost $200 at all!! Prices everywhere have just gotten out of hand!
