Aside from weight, my physical strength has increased. Seeing muscles grow and feeling better. Jayson is patient, understanding and positive. Being in a gym like that with other athletes who are "fitter" can be intimidating, but Jayson doesn't make me feel any less and not only does he push me, but he also encourages me. Other trainers seem to be highly motivating and seeing other members getting their sweat on and having fun, is also encouraging.

Mike (the owner) is cool but after I spoke to him & Emily, I left the SAME day called back & said "Never mind, I don't feel comfortable with paying $150/mo and I need my money back on my credit card". REMEMBER it was the same day &They basically gave me the run around even after I returned their key fob. David (who claimed to be a co-owner) stated I would get a refund but the day I returned the key fob they said David is NOT a co-owner as he stated to me on the phone AND he no longer works there. When I asked why he no longer work there Emily stated verbatim "because of reasons like this, giving customers misinformation" WOW! I have recordings & receipts. I HATE I GAVE THESE PEOPLE MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.

It is a BINGO hall, but is not up to the par or size of SPSJT #88. The BINGO that is played here is La Loteria and to this gringa is muey confuso. The ladies sometimes play in the park in utter silence and frankly don't look like they are having much fun, but perhaps that is just intensity for the game. So the space is large enough to have a decent size gathering of several hundred people. It is light and bright with painted white walls and the bathrooms are clean enough. We were able to bring in a DJ, caterer, and bar company for the party so that was good. As an event space goes, it is A-Ok and I would wager a pretty good deal for it's size. If you are a true hipster and you are "so over" the popularity of SPSJT come to the other side of the Heights and start playing La Loteria, you might just start a trend. Not that you would want to do that or anything.

Our instructor, Hailey, was energetic and friendly, demonstrating moves and checking on us as needed. There was a very low-pressure environment even for newbies, which made it fun :) The room looked pretty cramped when I walked in but once I was on the mats / machines, it didn't feel claustrophobic at all. (Although don't get the spot near the wall, because my right arm didn't have enough space to extend out during certain stretches, but not a deal breaker!) The person using the machine before me didn't wipe down very thoroughly so there was a big oily spot that was a little yucky to work out on. I didn't know there was a spray bottle to use below the machine until we were done and asked to wipe down. Having the instructors or staff do a quick visual on each machine to ensure it is (or at least looks) clean might be nice. Other classes like mat Pilates and hot sculpt / hot lift Pilates are available too ($33-44 per class). Parking is free in the lot but it fills up so you might have to sit and wait for spots. Trying Cadillac was fun-- I'm planning to return and try another class when I feel like splurging!

But while one has a bright calming vibe, the other studio has a more moodier look to it that still embodies the same level of peace. Before or after your class, there are complementary breathing rooms with water and snacks. There is also infrared eco-friendly sauna that has complementary cold and warm towels. The instructors here have a lot of experience and are very kind. If you are looking for knowledgable instructors to improve your form and get the best workout possible, this is definitely the place!
